Story
Have you ever driven that extra couple miles to get that really cool ice in a drink that you like? Ok, cool becasue then you might understand Lisa's obsession with ice. She and the refrigerator are in a daily face off as she waits for it to give up a piece of ice. She is obsessed. She must have her ice. It is her daily job other than snuggling. So Lisa would really like a home with an icemaker and a purrson willing to feed her ice obsession. Other than ice, she loves laps, snuggling, being held and all other animals. She enjoys being in a snuggle pile with her siblings (Leopold, Wendy and Shelley) - especially Leo. He doesn't make fun of her ice dealio and she appreciates that.  If you are interested in adopting Lisa, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Your application will be denied if you live further away. Approx DOB 04/21/2022 Adoption fee is $110.00 ##1493886##

Story
Jessie is a sweet-natured girl who rarely makes a peep… until the food comes out. Then you’ll get to hear her adorable high-pitched squeal. No, that’s not a kitten. It’s a full-grown cat who loves wet food.  Jessie spends most of her day luxuriating on the coziest perches she can find, which includes your lap when it’s available. She’s not one to constantly seek out attention, but she has her moments, rubbing around your legs or begging for pets, and she’ll graciously accept pets anytime.  Jessie is great with other cats and is quick to snuggle with them. She thinks every cat is her friend. She’s comfortable around dogs too, but mostly just ignores them. Jessie would probably do best in a home with at least one other cat. Jessie’s only downside is that she hates being picked up, even if she was just snuggling in your lap one second earlier. This makes getting her into a cat carrier a little challenging. The trick is to scruff her neck like a mom cat and put her into the carrier before she has time to protest.  Overall, Jessie is a very sweet girl with a lot of love to give. She's low-maintenance, loving, and looking for a calm home with a patient adopter who will give her time to acclimate on her own terms. She’s worth the wait! If you are interested in adopting Jessie, please fill out an adoption application here:  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
Madame Web is truly a lioness of a cat. She has beautiful markings and carries toys around in her mouth. She loves to rub against your legs to show affection, and will meow around the house if she doesn’t know where you are. She especially likes playing with her sister Spider. She gets along with other cats and children.  Web is one of those cats that need to find her person! She wants to bond with people. She loves to help you fold your laundry, and change your sheets. She likes to bring you toys in her mouth and meow loudly so you can praise her and tell her what a good girl she is. She is discovering she likes to be a lap cat, and you can pet her all day long. She is bonded with her sister Toad, but she would get along with most families. She gets along with other cats and children. She tolerates dogs.  If you are interested in adopting Web, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
Greyfoot is a sweet girl who loves to play and climb all over the place. Nothing beats a cuddle though, particularly with her sister, Tiger. She’s a little bit skittish, at least compared to my extrovert sister, but he’ll open up if you’re patient. She’s a real momma’s girl too, so she’d love to be adopted with her mom, Grace, or her sister, Tiger. Story
This sweet and affectionate boy just wants to be your best friend. He’s not a fan of being held but he absolutely demands attention if you are sitting or laying down. He can be downright persistent at times. He loves face rubs, chin scratches, and full body pets. He even enjoys the fast, aggressive body rubs! It really doesn’t matter to him, as long as you’re giving him love. His favorite place to sleep is on or near a human. If that’s not available, he can be found cuddling with his siblings or under the window ledge sunning himself. He just seems to be happy if you’re around. He would be okay in a home with a dog. He has gotten used to the foster dog, who can be quite annoying and chase the cats when they’re running around. But if the dog is calm, then he doesn’t seem to mind too much and will lay on the couch with him. He also doesn’t have a problem letting the dog know to mind his own business if it gets too much. He likes all the foster cats he lives with, but the feeling isn’t always mutual. He may just have too much energy for the grumpy cats to deal with. He would be good with younger cats that match his energy. Apollo and his siblings enjoy chasing each other throughout the house and climbing on their wall jungle gym. He loves playing catch with toys but hasn’t learned to bring the toys back. Hoping he would have learned from the dog about this game. He has never met a stranger either. He will greet people at the door and immediately ask for attention. Sometimes he will make the cutest chirping noises as he wanders through the house looking for someone to play with him. He has never met children but would be great with all ages, even if they may be unintentionally a little rough with him. You will never have to worry about being alone in the bathroom either. He likes to lay in the bathroom sink to keep watch. Although, you can have fun with that and see how long it takes him to realize you turned the faucet on! He falls for it every.single.time. He also follows his namesake’s inclination to fire. The only time he was around a candle, he was completely enthralled by the flame. All the other cats understood the danger and stayed away from it. After almost burning his whiskers off, he decided to just use his paw to bat at the flame instead until the foster mom put it out. Needless to say, he should be supervised if candles or a fire in the fireplace are ever present in the home. If you like affectionate and adorable cats, then this little sun god would be perfect for you! If you are interested in adopting Apollo, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
This little spice girl is definitely a free spirit. She will let you hold her, and purrs softly when petted with a sweet content look on her face. But it might not be for long because she has things to do and places to go! She and her BFF, Elmira, chase each other throughout the house, climb the cat furniture on the walls at an amazing speed, and play with toys back and forth. When she calms down to rest, her favorite spot is a person’s lap or somewhere very near a human. She will also snuggle with her bestie for grooming and naps. At bedtime, she likes to lay on the person’s side or by their feet. She likes light face rubs, chin scratches, and of course the rest of her body to be pet, especially when she’s in your lab. That’s when you get to hear the purr motor really rev up. She is also not shy in telling you what she wants. Whether it’s treats, pets, wet food, or your food. Even though she doesn’t get human food, that hasn’t stopped her from being all up in her foster’s space begging for scraps. You will also never have to worry about being in that scary bathroom by yourself. Paprika will follow you everywhere and make sure the shower curtain doesn’t attack you! She is not a fan of the dog most of the time, he is a bit annoying and tries to chase her when she’s playing. She has no problem letting him know to calm down and get out of her space. She would be fine with dogs in the home and would either tolerate or ignore them. She’ll even lay on the couch or snuggle with her bestie by the dog if he is being calm. She seems to get along with the older cats fine, but she may be too much energy for them. She gets along better with the cats/kittens that match her energy. She’s never met kids but would be great with them, especially if they played with her. She doesn’t seem to have a problem with strange humans either. She doesn’t greet them, but she also doesn’t run away. They can approach her for pets and play with no problems. If you’re looking for a little extra spice in your life, this is the girl for you!  If you are interested in adopting Paprika, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
Hi.  I'm Sally, and I am a very shy girl, but also very loving.  I was trapped from a feral colony along with my  foster sibling Sadie, so I learned to be cautious.  It may  take some time to get to know me, but when you do, you will  have a faithful companion.  I have gorgeous calico/tabby fur with a beautiful mix of orange, grey, black, and white.  I like toys that I can alternatively attack and cuddle, like soft-sided stuffed animals - catnip is also a good possibility.  If you are willing to invest the time in getting to know me, you will see that although shy, I will give great love to my human.  Please fill out an application and bring me home!Adoption fee of $120 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/November 3, 2024, 1:08 am

Story
Hi ~ I'm Tyler, and I am a handsome but reserved kitty. I was rescued from a shelter with my siblings Steven, Joan, and Jett - I have a dapper black and white coat. I like to play with all of the toys, although sometimes I need a little time and encouragement to know that it's safe. And at first, it might take a minute for me to know that I want the snuggles... But I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - so I will come around and be your dear friend. Please bring me to my forever home!Adoption fee of $120 includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/November 3, 2024, 1:08 am

Meet Bacon Bits! Part Bengal?? Who knows! Just look at those wonderful swirls. He is about 16 weeks old, neutered and up to date on vaccines until next year. He's been in a foster home with children and didn't mind those tiny humans (as long as they supplied treats). He is very playful and will have the funniest little zoomies. After he gets his exercise he'll settle down for some nice head scratches. The pictures don't do him justice, put in that application so you can meet this handsome boy in person.Adoption fee of $120 includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/November 7, 2024, 1:25 am
