Story
Juniper (Juni) is a very affectionate cat who loves people and loves to play. She is about 4 years old. She doesn't seem to understand social cues from other cats and as such other cats tend to hate her (which is why we are rehoming her). She is very sweet and social with people. She will greet you every day when you come home. She is a good cuddler and very emotionally supportive. She loves to play and will run and jump all over to get a toy. Her other main interest is cat food. She only eats kibble and doesn't tend to like wet cat food. Her only behavioral issue is she tries to eat plastic and any human food she can get to. She also gets the occasional late-night zoomies and is very vocal if she isn't able to cuddle with anyone at night. You are also welcome to all of her cat accessories. She loves to nap in her pictured plush whale and has a favorite bird toy.

Story
Hello all! This is Princey and he came to us with his shy friend, Belle. Princey is a gentle boy looking for his new forever home. As you might can tell, he did come to us with some skin issues possibly related to Flea Allergy Dermatitis; however, with some routine flea & tick medicine and TLC Princey`s fur will begin to grow back fluffy and beautiful before you know it! He has done well with other cats in the past, but as always we recommend slow and monitored introductions between Princey and any other animals/people in the home over a period of time. We also recommend using multiple litter boxes in the home and a nice clumping litter when trying to acclimate new animals. If you have any questions, please ask to speak with staff.

Story
Lime is the very loveliest of little ladies. She is FeLV positive which means she needs to be adopted as an only cat or with other FeLV+ cats. (Ask us for more information about FeLV.) She needs monitoring by a veterinarian to make sure her health remains good as the years go by. She might be the VERY sweetest cat on the planet and deserves her very own person that will appreciate her amazing and gentle personality and can see through her health issues. Lime comes to us from a rural county shelter and clearly has had a rough life. But she holds no grudges! She needs to find her special person and begin her new life as a treasured family member as she deserves.

Story
Max is a dapper and adorable 10-year-old sir who was declawed at a young age. What he lacks in claws he more than makes up for with his FABULOUS whiskers. He is a walking art deco piece with a friendly and slightly goofy personality. He is chatty and friendly and everyone who meets Max oooohs and ahhhhs over him! Max had a loving home and a person who adored him, but when the family became blended with too many animals, it was too much for Max. Max is a sweet and regal king who is looking for a quiet home with his very own person. He had dental in 2022 so his choppers are good to go. No worry about dental expense. AND he recently had a senior blood panel done and it's SPECTACULAR! The vets all swooned over this perfect gentleman. Max's perfect home is one that is relatively chill. He likes to hang around and be part of the action, if the action is watching TV, reading a book, or birdwatching. He adores the screened in porch in his current foster's home. He would prefer to be the star of the show, and the only pet. Max is a polite fellow who would make an excellent, easy-going companion. Max is in his glorious prime and is looking for his forever person. He is lovable and amazing and, have we mentioned those WHISKERS?!? Meet Max in his foster's home in Carrboro.

Story
Pretzel is an adorable tabby looking for a life of less salt and more sweet! He comes to our rescue from a rural shelter that trapped him at a county dump in a trap/neuter/return project. Because he was a little guy, they decided he deserved a chance at the good life and kept him at their shelter rather than returning him to the dump. Pretzel is super friendly with other cats and loves toys and playing! He is a silly fellow who is cute as can be! He is the perfect option if you are looking for a pal for your cat. Pretzel is still a tiny bit unsure when people reach out to touch him, but over time we expect him to be good as rold gold!

Story
Fajita started out as a spicy kitten but is now a sweetheart! Fajita, born in April of 2024, is a very handsome boy with amazing tall white boots on his hind legs. Go-go boots! With love and patience, he has come to realize that people can be nice and that he can be safe with them. Fajita is hesitant with new people but patience is well rewarded with purrs and pets. He is really enjoying meeting lots of new people at the Cat Cafe, especially since so many people want to PLAY! This cutie is very cat friendly and would benefit from having a cat buddy in his new home. Reserve time to meet this little sizzlin' snack!
