Story
We adopted our pet about a month ago from the Wake County SPCA. Chloe's about five years old according to our vet, and she has had kittens before. We are struggling with the cat not consistently using the litterbox, and did not know this to be an issue when we adopted her.

Story
My official Alley Cats & Angels name is Monkey, but please call me Maxie! I'm a gentle, laid-back girl who loves peace and quiet. I get along great with the other adult cats in my foster home and enjoy zooming around and playing with them. When it’s nap time, you’ll probably find me curled up under the bed covers, my favorite cozy spot. I always make sure to let my foster mom know when it's time to eat—especially when there are treats involved! One of my favorite activities is sitting by my foster mom while she works on her computer, soaking up chin scratches and welcoming belly rubs. I show my appreciation by making lots of biscuits. If you're looking for a sweet and loving companion, I'm your girl! Est. DOB: September 12, 2013 Eligible for Foster-to-Adopt: Please ask about our FTA Program. Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with rescue paid registration.

I'm an awesome kitty no matter how you slice it! I’m a friendly and talkative fellow, full of purrs, who loves a good snooze on my foster’s lap. Belly rubs and underarm scritches? Yes, please! An intrepid explorer, I love being up high—one of my favorite places is the summit of a cat tree. I enjoy playing fetch with jingly balls and leaping extra high for string toys. Zoomies ensure that I get my cardio as I gallop around the house. For leisure, I love to sunbathe and show off my gorgeous golden eyes in the sun. An active guy, I’d do best in a home with a playmate whose energy matches my own.. Est. DOB: August 3, 2023 Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with rescue paid registration.

Story
I’m sweet, snuggly, and love hanging out with my humans and kitty friends. I’m quiet and graceful, moving around so smoothly that you might not even notice me until I’m curled up right beside you—that's why my fosters call me a ninja panther! Favorite pastimes include supervising bathroom breaks and perching up high on my favorite cat tree. I’m petite, with a couple of unique features, like my two fused toes. Plus, I’m a proud FIP survivor! I love chasing small toys when I get the zoomies, but I’m just as happy napping under the bed or cuddling up for a cozy snooze. I may be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I’m all yours! Est. DOB: August 1, 2023 Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with shelter paid registration.

I’m a charming black and white tuxedo kitty with a penchant for play and cuddles! My favorite pastime? Playing with spring toys, of course! I adore batting and pouncing on spring toys, keeping myself entertained for hours. When I’m ready to unwind, I love nothing more than curling into a cozy lap for some quality cuddle time. My playful antics will keep you smiling all day long. Watch as I eagerly chase treats across the room, showcasing my playful and adventurous spirit. And don't miss my adorable pink chin, giving the impression that I’m permanently sticking my tongue out—just one of my many endearing traits! Est. DOB: July 31, 2023 Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with rescue paid registration.

I'm a loving black kitten named for the white "star" on my throat. Nicknamed the Belly Rub Queen, I'll flip over as soon as I see you for some belly rubs. I'm very chatty--but not loud--and will chirp and mew my way into your heart! I’m a sweet and athletic girl who will chase any dangling wand toy. The elusive red laser dot that I can never seem to catch gives me the zoomies as I try to pounce on it! I get along well with other kitties but would likely do OK as an only cat as long as I was showered with lots of attention. I also get along well with cat friendly dogs and think I’m hot stuff when I get to sleep in the bed with my two canine foster brothers! Est. DOB: August 10, 2023 Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with rescue paid registration.

Story
We rescued (literally) these two kitties on January 23rd. We went out for a walk with our dog, who is a Rottweiler, and heard a kitten in despair, we looked for the kitten who was crying and found it about 50 ft up a tree! When trying to coax the kitten out the tree, other neighbors commented that it had been up there for 2-days! We were dismayed to learn this! Anyway, we could not leave the kitty up the tree, so we hired a tree service and paid them to come get the kitty out of the tree. While waiting for the tree service another kitty popped out of a burrowed hole at the base of the tree. So, the tortie kitty was under the tree and the black kitty was up in the tree. Needless to say, we have them in our dog's crate, but our Rottie is struggling! We need to find a safe place for these kitties to go, we cannot keep them, and they are not safe with our rescue Rottie. They are as sweet as can be, very affectionate, litter trained and appear to in great health.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.York DOB:  April 2023 Neutered Male         Short Hair        Black You know, cuddly kitties are great, but sometimes you just need a goofball to make you laugh and lift your spirits. So, we should get to know each other. My name is York. As you can see, I am quite handsome, but I also have a very serious side. That is, I’m serious about playing! Mouse toys, string toys, jingle balls, and even a crumpled ball of paper will keep me entertained for hours!   I would love a forever home with another cat buddy (or cat-friendly dog) for me to play with. But I can be an only pet, as long as I get plenty of play (and cuddle) time. I would be a great buddy for anyone age 6 and up! Contact Best Friend Pet Adoption, and they’ll set up a time for me to show off my exceptional hunting skills for you. You can email them at adoption@bfpa.org and tell them you want to adopt YORK.   Dogs:  Must have kitty manners Other cats:  Good with others, needs a friend Kids:  Over 6 with kitty experienceVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 4:27 pm

Just ask my foster mom; she thinks I’m awesome! I’m an active boy; let’s call me busy.  Whether it’s chores around the house, a project, or watching TV, I’ll be involved in any activity and offer helpful hints.  I get along with everyone — kids, dogs, and other cats, too.  I’m the whole package!  My energy can be kind of extra, so other pets will need to be ready for my rambunctious self. I’d love to meet you and show you all my attributes and skills.  Once I wear myself out, you’ll have a total cuddler who will catch up on the latest shows together.  So, let’s hang out and see if it’s a match! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Max Verstappen DOB:  April 2024 Spayed Female               Short Hair        Brown Tabby w/white             Helloooooo! I’m Max! At first, they thought I was a boy, so my full name is Max Verstappen after the F1 race car driver. But then they found out that I’m a girl, but I’m also the Speed Queen, so the name stuck! I’m a very playful girl who is all about the zoomies and playing with anything that moves. I’m also good with phone games, and among my foster siblings, I hold the high score (gotta keep those hunting skills sharp, right?). It would be great to have another cat to play with (and help me learn all the important cat things as I grow up). I haven’t had experience around dogs, but I’m sure with a slow introduction, I’d be fine with a cat-friendly dog. I’d be a great buddy for a kid (age 6 and older). Let’s get together and play phone games and get to know each other better to see if we’d be a good match! Contact Best Friend Pet Adoption (adoption@bfpa.org) to set up a play session. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ember DOB:  April 2024 Neutered Male         Short Hair                Black Hey there! My name is Ember. You might think I got my name because of my black scruffy fur, but I am actually named for the nice firefighters who found me walking toward I-40 when they were responding to a car accident. Scary, right? I’m glad I’m safe in a foster home, but I would love a forever home! Let me tell you more about me: I am the BEST cuddler! I also love giving and getting kisses. I pretty much love everyone I meet and would be the perfect party host! I also enjoy all the kitty things, like kicker toys, zoomies, and climbing the cat tree. I need a home with another kitty friend to play with, but I also get along really great with dogs. I would do best with kids who are a little older with kitty experience. I am also the most adorable door greeter! When you come home, I’ll want to hear all about your travels—while you’re getting out the wet food to fix me a snack. A little Ember will warm up your life! If there was an Olympic event for being totally adorable, I’d win the gold medal! I even have a sad but triumphant backstory since I was found alone as a tiny baby and bottle-fed by my first foster family. Now, I compete in the Kitty Triathlon, which involves zoomies, cat tower climbing, and chasing toys. I also tried the high dive but got disqualified (my foster mom says you should probably keep your toilet lid closed). I’m an awesome teammate, so I’d do best in a home with another kitty friend to run around with and finish my Cat Education (since I’m still a kitten myself). I also get along great with dogs and kids (age 6 and older). When it’s time to wind down and relax, I’m an expert biscuit maker! I have my own special blanket that I like to cuddle on while I make biscuits. When I’m sleepy, I look for one of my people to snuggle with. If you’ve wondered what it would be like to live with an Olympic Champion, contact Best Friend Pet Adoption (adoption@bfpa.org) and tell them you want to meet NIBBLER!   Dogs:  Must have kitty manners   Other cats:  Good with others, needs a friend   Kids:  Over 6 with kitty experience  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 4:27 pm
