Story
Linda is a 14 year old female domestic shorthaired brown tabby.Linda is an independent and feisty older girl, with a spirit of a tigress. She likes things her own way, and that way is slow and quiet, like any senior person. She would prefer to spend her time staring out of windows, prowling around under furniture, enjoying a fine dish of softened wet food, and napping someplace soft and private. Her attitude is that of a grand lady who has gracefully aged and expects to be treated with the utmost respect and reverence. Linda would prefer a home where she is the only pet and without any children, so that she might spend her glorious golden years in peace. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Story
Mariah is a 10 year old female domestic short haired tabby. As her name suggests, Mariah can be quite the little diva! She needs to be center stage in any household. All she really wants is to be extra comfy and have her people show their appreciation of her many cat talents with high quality treats. She enjoys exploring nooks and crannies and high places. Her favorite things to do are to hang out with her foster cat sibling and to watch the birds from the window. Her cat-itude is big, but so is her heart. Mariah would do well in a home with other cats, without dogs, and without children. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Story
Felicia is a 2 year old female domestic short hair tabby cat. Felicia is a sweet girl who tends to get a bit awkward in most situations. She doesn't really know the right things to say or do but she will be sure to always be a core part of your support system. She's good at just being there for you and being an ear to listen for you. She loves food, treats and toys and will wake up from a nap at the sound of a bag shaking or a ball jingling. Felicia would not do well in a home with young children or dogs but would do great with other cats, and is bonded with her mom A#10373. Story
Jo is a 10 year old female domestic short hair brown tabby cat. Jo's top 2 favorite things to do are snuggling and eating. She is one of the sweetest cats we have ever met. She loves to lounge and go with the flow. When she's not cuddled up with you, she is probably searching around looking for some tasty treats left behind. Jo would do fine in a home with certain dogs. We do not recommend a home with children and cats. `To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Starsky is a 3 year old male domestic short hair black cat with a little white on the chest. Starsky is an initially coy gentleman who likes to play games of cat and mouse with his affection. But that's only to ensure you're really interested and not going to break his gentle heart. Underneath his Mr. Cool façade, he's an affection boy who is cautious of giving away his heart too easily. Once you become his person, he is infinitely loyal. When he's not pretending to be a rebel without a cause, he lets loose by playing with toys or playing with other cats. He does have his boundaries, and asks that you respect them as he will respect yours. Starsky loves other cats, and is a close friend of Stripes here at the shelter - while they're not bonded, they'd love to go home together. Starsky would do best in a home with other cats, possibly with a cat-friendly cat, and would be better in a home without children. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Save Time! Complete an application, fillable on our website! **Adoption fee is $150.00 first kitten/cat and 50% for the second, includes preventatives. Kitten series vaccines, rabies and spay/neuter and microchip. Kittens over 6 months of age are $50 (no additional discounts) **Sneak peek kittens can be viewed on our FB Group CATS Resort. We try to post as much as possible on social media for your selection purposes. *We only hold kittens (OVER 8 weeks of age) with a full adoption fee paid (non refundable if you cancel) otherwise, we pass up other potential adopters for a "on hold" kitten, only to find out they changed their minds and we missed a window of opportunity.        You can submit payment once your application is approved and the kitten has been deemed medically stable.        If the kitten you are interested in is NOT 8 weeks old, we ask that you do not send payment until their medical health has been stabilized.             **Payments can be made through our website, Paypal as friends & family to avoid a service fee (       CastAsideToSurvive@gmail.com       ) Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle or our website. If you use the facebook page (use the donate button) . You would need to forward the receipt as we do not get reports of payments until the end of the month. *Once they reach 3 pounds, they will be spayed/neutered (we pay) and given their rabies vaccine. Once we know when the surgery date is, we ask that you arrange a quick kitten vet appointment per our adoption agreement, we will schedule the finalization within 4 days of YOUR vet appointment) Banister Veterinary Hospital, local to us, 845-331-1050 is very accommodating for this!        click here to request an appointment! We recuperate 2 days post-operatively before medically releasing them to their new FURLESS homes. *When the adoption process is finalized in person, there is a binding contract that needs to be reviewed and signed. Our contract strongly indicates a vet appointment within four days of adoption. Please make your vet appointment as soon as we are discussing the adoption date, as we do not do diagnostic testing. We provide health records at that time. We do routine immunizations, preventative care for internal and external parasites and treat symptomatically. *This is a slow process. We are two women and the rescues in our care are priority. Mothers and babies, plus field trapping, being on the road, fundraising for medical costs, handling social media, emails, calls and more....sorry, please be patient. Messages are responded to in the order in which they were received both method and chronological. *We can move over to communicating via text (once all is approved) and you are added as a contact in my phone. We BEG you, don’t start multiple modes of communication. It just slows things down looking for the original content in order to be able to respond appropriately. We do not have staff to answer calls. *******ADOPTION PROCESS: - First step is to submit an application at saugertiesanimalshelter.com. - Once your application is approved, we will contact you about scheduling an appointment to come in. -While you can apply for a specific pet, this DOES NOT guarantee your adoption of this pet. We prefer adopters to come in and meet who we have available and make a decision based on connection instead of just based on a photo.-- -At your appointment, if you fall in love, you can take your new pet home that day. We DO NOT hold animals, or take deposits. We have found this process works best for our adopters, us and most importantly, the animals. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 845-679-0339 or saugertiesanimalshelter2017@gmail.com*********
