Story
Hi, I`m Silver. I came here when my person passed away. This time around, I`m hoping to find someone with a little more `youthful energy` to spend the rest of my days with. I`ve been here at the shelter before, so I`m hoping that, this time, I`ll find a home that sticks! I love to sit in your lap, roll around like a worm, play and get pets! Neck and chin scratches are currently my favourite, but I also enjoy a good full body pet once in a while. I`ve lived with other cats before, and dogs, but I`m not entirely sure I enjoyed that. I`m 8 years old, so I won`t be climbing the curtains (probably) but I still have energy for chasing mice and other toys! Keep your eye out for new photos of me; I recently had my tail amputated. It`s healing well and I think my new tail stump adds to my charm! I`m otherwise healthy, up to date on my shots, neutered, and microchipped. All I need now is you! Stop by the adoption center during open hours to meet me and the other cats up for adoption! Tuesday-Sunday 12-4:30 PM (Thursdays until 6:30 PM) (607) 257-1822 x221 adoptions@spcaonline.com

Story
Meet Ozzie, an extra large senior fluff with a purr-sonality to match! Ozzie is the kind of cat who everyone loves to coo over. With his long, orange fur and his squishable looking body, most people want to hug him right away. While Ozzie may be in the mood for that sometimes, he can also have a sassy side that appears more quickly than you`d expect. He`s not completely anti-social, he will approach and solicit attention fairly quickly. However, sometimes he gets in over his head and has a change of heart mid-interaction. Since Ozzie can be hard to read sometimes, he`s looking for a home with experienced adults who can resist the urge to squish! Don`t worry, Ozzie is so cute that admiring him from afar is still a reward in and of itself! If you think your home could provide what Ozzie needs, call, email or stop by the shelter during open hours to find out more about adopting! (607)257-1822 x221 adoptions@spcaonline.com

Story
Hello, I`m Tabitha. I arrived here with 4 other cats, having spent our lives in one room of a house. We`ve lived with other cats and dogs before, but we didn`t meet a lot of humans, so we need to take it slow. Fortunately, we are all beautiful and healthy, so we think we should be pretty easy to care for. We might not be very social right away but, given time, we will surely show new parts of our purr-sonalities. What do you say? Could you love me from afar, even if it`s forever? Stop by the shelter during open hours and ask about meeting us! (607)257-1822 x221 adoptions@spcaonline.com

Hi there, I`m Jordan. My sister, Tabitha, and I are pretty shy of people and are hoping we can find a home for both of us together. We`ve lived with other cats and dogs before, but we didn`t meet a lot of humans, so we need to take it slow. Fortunately, we are both beautiful and healthy, so we think we should be pretty easy to care for. Story
Meet Roo, a lovable senior girl searching for a cozy spot to spend her golden years. She may look a little rough in her photo; she came to us with some medical issues. However, she is on the mend and will soon be looking like herself again! Her winning purr-sonality is more than enough to win any good cat person over! As soon as you step into her room, she’ll greet you with headbutts and purrs, quickly warming up to your affection. Roo adores attention—she can’t resist rolling over for some neck scratches! Although she might have a tough look, her heart is pure gold. All she wants is a warm spot to nap, regular meals and, of course, snuggles! If you’re interested in meeting this sweet girl, come by the shelter during our walk-in hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 12 PM to 4:30 PM, with extended hours on Thursdays until 6:30 PM. Roo can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Meet Momo, a dainty lady with a big personality! Momo was brought to the shelter when her human moved away and left her behind with a family member. She then got pregnant and gave birth to a litter of kittens. This unexpected change ended up being a bit too much for Momo`s new human, so they brought her here to get spayed and find a new home! Momo is cautiously friendly with the right people, though it may take her a while to decide to be cuddly. She is adjusting to the indoor cat life pretty well, though she may be an ok choice for an indoor-outdoor home. She isn`t sure if she`d like to share her home with other cats (raising kittens can make anyone cranky) but she might do ok with enough space and time. If you`re looking for a petite cat with a gently sassy side, Momo could be for you! Stop by and meet her during open visiting hours! Tues-Sunday 12-4:30 PM (Thursdays until 6:30). Story
Geiger is a 15 week old (as of 11/17/24) domestic shorthair--her coat is almost completely black except for a thin line of white hair on her chest. She is one of six kittens born to a feral who had been trapped for TNR and has been handled and socialized since her birth. Geiger is very playful and friendly; she always wants to be involved in whatever her people are doing, and when she's tired, her favorite way to sleep is snuggled up under a human's neck. If you're looking for a friendly, high-energy kitten, she's a great choice--she loves to play, explore new places, climb, supervise litter scooping, and otherwise "help" humans get things done. Geiger is pretty bold, and while she has not yet been introduced to any dogs, will likely adapt well to a house with a cat-friendly dog; she is also a good candidate for harness training. She should also do well with older children who pay attention to "let me down" signals, but may not do as well with younger children.

Story
Sid (short for Obsidian) is a 15 week old (as of 11/17/24) domestic shorthair--her coat is almost completely black except for a few white hairs on her chest and belly. She is one of six kittens born to a feral who had been trapped for TNR and has been handled and socialized since her birth. Sid can be a little shy initially, but when she feels comfortable she is playful and affectionate, and loves playing with wand toys and anything that can be sent skittering across the floor. She is, for a cat, relatively respectful of personal space and is not big on being picked up and cuddled, but loves floor-pets and when she's tired will climb into your lap of her own accord for a snuggle. Sid gets along well with her siblings and should do well with another cat or a calm dog; she would be all right with older children who will give her space and interact with her on her own terms.

Story
Rosemary is a 15 week old (as of 11/17/24) domestic shorthair with a "standard cat" mackerel tabby pattern coat. She is one of six kittens born to a feral who had been trapped for TNR and has been handled and socialized since her birth. Rosie *was* the runt of the litter, but has caught up with (and surpassed some of!) her siblings. She is friendly, inquisitive, playful, and affectionate, and loves to explore and climb and play with wand toys and with anything she can bat across the floor. When she's tired, Rosie is a cuddler and will snuggle down into your arms and purr herself to sleep. Though she has not been tested with dogs, she gets along well with her siblings and is not afraid of the larger cats in her foster home; her boldness makes it likely that she would adapt to a friendly dog. Rosie's explorative personality makes her a good candidate for harness training.
