Hello there! My name is Froot Loop and I am the nicest feline in the whole building. I came to the SPCA as a stray from the City of Ithaca. When the Doctors where looking me over, they discovered that I am FIV+. This means that I should be an indoor cat for the rest of my life. If I go to a home with other cats, they would also need to be FIV+. I absolutely adore playing with my mice toys, feather wands, and jumping from shelf to shelf. I am really hoping for a home with some sunny windows to nap in, some loving people to enjoy my soft and lovable self, and space to run and play. Sid (short for Obsidian) is a domestic shorthair--her coat is almost completely black except for a few white hairs on her chest and belly. She is one of six kittens born on 7/31/24 to a feral who had been trapped for TNR and has been handled and socialized since her birth. Sid can be a little shy initially, but when she feels comfortable she is bold, talkative, and affectionate, and loves chasing wand toys as well as anything that can be sent skittering across the floor. She is, for a cat, relatively respectful of personal space and loves floor-pets; when she's tired will climb into your lap of her own accord for a snuggle. Sid gets along well with her siblings and should do well with another cat or a calm dog; she has been toddler-tested and will get along well with even younger children so long as they don't manhandle her. Sid tested FIV and FeLV negative and has her first rabies, FeLV, and distemper vaccinations.

Rosemary is a domestic shorthair with a "standard cat" mackerel tabby pattern coat. She is one of six kittens born on 7/31/24 to a feral who had been trapped for TNR and has been handled and socialized since her birth. Rosie was the runt of the litter, but has caught up with her siblings. She is friendly, inquisitive, playful, and affectionate, and loves to explore and climb and play with wand toys and with anything she can bat across the floor. When she's tired, Rosie is a cuddler and will snuggle down into your arms and purr herself to sleep. Though she has not been tested with dogs, she gets along well with her siblings and is not afraid of the larger cats in her foster home; her boldness makes it likely that she would adapt to a friendly dog. She has been toddler-tested and should get along with a small child who isn't allowed to manhandle her. Rosemary tested FIV and FeLV negative and has her first rabies, FeLV, and distemper vaccinations.

Pigeon is a rescue from a cat colony in Oregon 4 years ago. He was adopted at 9 months of age along with his brother Strix. As they grew up, Strix seemed to be the dominant personality but as Pigeon got older (and bigger) he started to display more dominant behavior. That behavior has compounded into being more destructive and aggressive with Strix as my disability has progressed and I'm no longer able to keep up with him or his needs. Pigeon has very high energy demands; he's an active cat who needs someone to play with him consistently. His favorite toys are a stick (yes, really) that you play peekaboo with under a blanket. He also likes pingpong balls a lot! He's very skittish and doesn't handle change well, so please be patient with him. He's very cuddly once you give him time to warm up and loves to be in laps. He doesn't tolerate being picked up very well, though. He has very bad anxiety, likely due to his energy needs being unmet. The proper house & playmate would do wonders.
