Story
ABOUT KARMA This loving lady came to HAP in Spring 2024, with her litter of newborn babies! Soon after her arrival, she was placed in a loving foster home to nurse her kittens as they grew. Despite the stress that some new mommas may feel, Karma remained a friendly and social girl. After a couple of months in foster, she and her babies returned to the shelter for adoption! While all her kittens have been adopted, Karma is still waiting to find her family. We estimate Karma is around 3 years old and she has quite a playful personality. She loves to window watch on cat trees or chase around a wand toy. After some playtime, she is quick to lean into your legs seeking attention and pets! **Unfortunately, after raising her babies, Karma is no longer a huge fan of other cats and would be best as the only cat in your home. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Meet Hector! Hector is a sweet kitten who is a little shy at first but is slowly learning his personality and coming out of his shell! Despite his shy demeanor, he may hide for a few seconds but it doesn't take long for him to come out and explore. His personality shines through when he is playing and he has made many friends in our free roaming cat room! This silly boy also loves to pounce around the room, run through tunnels, and awkwardly hop over some of the obstacles in the room before finding a nice, comfy spot to curl up into a little cinnamon roll for a quick cat nap! Story
Meet Frank! Frank is our adorable young black kitten who arrived to us with his sister Fiona. The two of them were pretty shy at first but have really started to come out of their shells, especially Frank! He's made a ton of new feline friends and loves to explore and climb all over the towers. He's still a little hesitant with humans but is getting better each and every day! Frank also loves his treats and loves to play with the toys! Frank and Fiona would love to find a home where they can continue to build their confidence so they can grow up to be awesome and brave cats! Kittens require a significant amount of patience and training to learn how to behave properly in a home. The first few months of having a kitten is a critical time to improve socialization and help your kitten become confident. Exposing your kitten to all kinds of touch, sounds, people, and animals can ensure a well-socialized adult cat. Remember, kittens aren't born knowing how to live in a human's world, it is up to you to teach them how to make good decisions in a positive and caring manner. The more positive interactions they have in their first year of life will set them up for better behavior in the future. Story
Meet Fiona! Fiona is our sweet but shy young gray tabby kitten who arrived to us with her brother Frank. Fiona is definitely the too cool for school sister between the two and prefers to watch Frank get up to his silly antics rather than participate in them herself. She's still on the more nervous side and tends to hide when there's humans around but she's slowly but surely learning that we're her friends and that we always bring yummy treats! Fiona's done well with other kittens but like with her brother, prefers to enjoy her space and peace and quiet. Fiona would do best in a home with a family that will continue to help build her confidence and help this sweet girl come out of her shell! Story
Meet Tia! Tia and her sister Tamera arrived to us when they were found near a dumpster and had a tough start to life but you wouldn't know it when meeting these two sweet girls! Tia is the one with the orange strip on her face and is the slightly more shy and mellow sister between the two. Most of the time Tia prefers to fill her days with lots of cat naps but will occasionally roam around the room and stir up some trouble with her sister or the other kittens she's made friends with. Tia and Tamera prefer to cuddle up and there hasn't been a time where they weren't touching in their sleep, even if Tamera wanted a little space, Tia found a way to hang her paw over the bed and rest it on her sister! It's the cutest! So what do you say? Are you looking for two tortoise sweethearts because Tia and Tamera would be the perfect fit!
