Story
&#226&#128&#139We have such a sweet tooth for Choco Taco! This absolute gentleman is known for his easygoing attitude. He just wants to relax, befriend everyone he meets, and be right near his favorite people. When he wants attention he will gently wave his paw and lay on his tummy for belly rubs. He loves to play with small toys that roll around, and he loves to sit on the windowsill where he can watch the cars and people go by. Choco is a chatty cat, but he tends not to meow, rather communicate through soft chirps! He loves Churus, and a frozen Churu is his favorite cold treat (since he can’t eat real choco tacos). A curious cat, he could likely join a home with a more low-key and social kitty looking for a nap partner. While he hasn't been around kids, we do think he could thrive in a home with children due to his gentle and well-mannered behavior. Choco Taco takes daily medications to manage his asthma and seizures, and while these conditions need to be monitored, they do not affect him very much on a day to day basis. The most important thing is making sure that he gets his medication on a tight schedule, one which he has memorized and will remind you about with gentle chirps around 10 minutes before. Choco Taco is truly a delight in every sense of the word, and he would love to be your new best friend! He will also go home with a fabulous THREE MONTH SUPPLY CARE PACKAGE! Story
Doctor Doctor give me the news, I got a bad case of loving Tom!  Meet Tom, a senior feline seeking a forever home to spend his golden years in comfort. While not the cuddly type, Tom is a devoted companion who loves to follow you around and keep you company from a distance. He delights in the smell of fish and will offer plenty of meows when it's mealtime. Tom enjoys quiet moments, staring out the window and listening to the birds chirp and the wind rustle the trees. Though he’s not a snuggle buddy, he looks charming in his favorite bow tie. With his laid-back nature, Tom is low maintenance but does require insulin for his diabetes, which is easy to administer twice a day. Embrace the companionship of this sweet cat who will bring warmth and joy into your home! Dr. Tom will go home with a 3 month supply CARE PACKAGE of his medication and special diet! Story
Lucy is a sweet and cuddly little lady with a charming personality. She loves being the center of attention of any room, and rushes to greet new guests at the door to immediately demand cuddles and belly rubs (it's not a trap!). There will never be a dull moment in the house because of her playful and curious energy. She is very people friendly, but would thrive best in a home without other cats or dogs, as she wants all of your love. She is also FeLV+, so she will need a little extra TLC.  If you're looking for an affectionate and easy going furry friend, look no further! **Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that is specific to cats that weakens a cat’s immune system. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives—but with a shorter life expectancy than cats without FeLV. At PAWS, we believe every pet deserves to live out their life in a loving home for whatever time they have. We hope you'll consider opening your home to this special kitty! For more information feel free to check out the FeLV FAQs we have available on our website!** FeLV+ adopters are also eligible for an Amazon gift card after adoption! Story
Meet oh so sweet, never salty, French Fry!  She’s a very laid back quiet kitty who just wants to spend her golden years looking out the window at the World, lounging around on her cat bed, and making pre-nap blanket biscuits (see video!). She also loves to get cozy on her human’s bed... don’t let the pictures fool ya’…she doesn’t do laundry!  She loves her floor scratcher and can often be found lounging on it throughout the day.  When it’s her human’s bed time she is always close by on the bed, purring to her hearts content and providing occasional head bumps and kisses.  She occasionally bats around various kinds of small cat toys or will indulge a wand toy for a few minutes to amuse her human, but for the most part she just wants to relax, either resting or looking out the window. She also loves to be pampered like a princess and brushed gently on a regular basis.  French Fry has aged like a fine wine (or fine potato?). As a senior kitty she does have a few medical needs to keep in mind, but they are easy to manage. Most predominantly she is being treated for hyperthyroidism which is a cream easily given on the edge of her ear. Super simple! Ms. French Fry is truly a golden girl! She will go home with a 3 month supply CARE PACKAGE including her treatment for hyperthyroidism. Story
Meet Love - a charming gentleman with a heart as big as his name! Love is the perfect blend of independence and affection. He's a curious, friendly, and calm feline who adores human company. As a true professional cat, Love's daily routine involves expert biscuit-making on soft blankets, sunbathing sessions, and savoring good meals (with the occasional extra treat for exemplary behavior). This toothless wonder will melt your heart with his adorable meows and yawns. Love's favorite pastimes include greeting you at the door with purrs and affectionate rubs, snuggling in bed for nighttime cuddles, and taking cozy daytime naps. He enjoys lounging near his favorite humans, sharing gentle head bumps with his loved ones, and chasing toy mice during bursts of playful energy. While not overly playful, Love is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of both cats and dogs. He thrives in a calm environment with other relaxed animals that match his easygoing energy. Love's gentle nature shines through in his ability to gracefully remove himself from potentially stressful situations rather than escalating them. Love is searching for a forever home where he can receive a little tender loving care in exchange for filling your heart with boundless affection. He has a sensitive tummy (as sometimes older cats do) so he eats a special diet and takes a daily steroid to help him stay regulated. Love will go home with a CARE PACKAGE. This sweet soul is ready to become your loyal companion and bring joy to your everyday life. Give Love a chance, and he'll show you just how much there is to love about him!" You can see more of Love's adventures on his Instagram page! Give him a follow at @adopt_me_philly ! **Since in foster care, Love's become buddies with another foster cat named Kicha. She's the little sister he didn't know he needed. Kicha has taught Love to play and they enjoy nightly chases and spending time near each other. Kicha can be silly, playing with his ankles and Love is here for it. These two have a really cute friendship and are both so sweet. Both came from a hard start: Love not thriving as a community cat and Kicha having her tail cut off as a community cat. It would be so precious to get them adopted out together!**   Age: 11 years young! How I came to PAWS: Transfer from ACCT Animal ID#: A55846 &#226&#128&#139I am not at the shelter. Story
Move Over, Mondays - Garfield's Here to Brighten Every Day! Meet Garfield, a feline character who lives up to his famous namesake in all the best ways. This observant and independent cat carries himself with an air of quiet amusement that suggests he'd have a wickedly sarcastic sense of humor if he could speak. But don't let his cool demeanor fool you - Garfield is a great cat underneath that orange fur. Garfield's daily agenda is packed with important cat business: playing supervisor to his humans, following them around to ensure household operations run smoothly; conducting thorough quality control of all sunny spots and cozy napping locations; keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood from his favorite window perches; and most importantly, transforming into the ultimate snuggle buddy at night, showcasing his world-class purring and biscuit-making skills. While Garfield enjoys his role as the household's feline-in-charge, he's not opposed to furry roommates. With proper introductions, he could potentially share his kingdom with other pets. Actually, he is loving his new life with his current kitten friend. Garfield is a social with humans, eagerly greeting new friends, but he prefers a calm environment free from the chaos of young children or toddlers. Garfield is the complete package - charming, laid-back, and affectionate. He's looking for his very own John Arbuckle. Are you ready to add a dash of feline wit and warmth to your life?
