Story
Farrin is a spayed female black cat, born on 9/15/21.Farrin was rescued from the streets as a kitten. Still needs someone with patience, love, and plenty of treats to bring this lovely lady the rest of the way out of her shell. Loves to play, lounge, and eat. Always first to the dinner plate, pawing asking for extras. She's a sweet girl with a shy side. Loves dogs, other cats, and her toys. If you have this kind of patience, she is the perfect kitty to add. Waiting on that special person/ people to give her the love she deserves. Sadly, rehoming due to dementia and leaving the home. Thank you and God bless. The adoption fee is $25. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Story
Charcoal is a neutered black male cat, born in January 2022. He has recently had his right hind leg amputated. Charcoal was an outside stray cat who was fed by an elderly lady. He is loving and loyal. But when the lady died, Charcoal was left without a home and then he was shot in the leg. His leg could not be repaired. Charcoal is a special needs cat. He can get along well on his three legs and will do even better once he gets the hang of it. He can jump and climb. He would do best as an only cat. He has very nice manners in the house! He has a wonderful purr! The adoption fee is $25. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Story
Zeppelin is a neutered male gray-and-white tabby, born in 2017. He is 7 years old. He's super lovey, a bit talkative, and he is great with dogs. He can be a bit bossy toward other cats and is not fond of sharing 'his person,' so a home where he is an only cat may be better suited for this handsome boy. He has been an indoor cat for the majority of his life and does great with his litter box. The adoption fee is $25. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Story
Before we meet, let's get a few things straight. I am not perfect, but really, who is? I can go from sweet to spicy in under 10 seconds. One second I'll be rubbing on your legs because you're my favorite person ever, and then the next second I will try to bite your leg or swat your hand because I got too excited about your existence. What can I say? I didn't pay much attention in cat etiquette school... I've done a lot of thinking about what I'd like in my new home, and I think these are the things that will help me be the most successful: 1. Only pet. I have tormented a dog and would do so again. 2. Adults only. My inappropriate forms of affection are not a great combination with kids. 3. A house. My loud, beautiful voice will not be appreciated by apartment neighbors. 4. Opportunity to be an indoor/outdoor cat. I pull out my hair when I'm bored and being allowed outside may offer additional enrichment to keep me happy. The other thing you should know about me is that I have a huge appreciation for food! Eating food from bowls is just too boring - I enjoy lick mats, food puzzles, chasing after the pieces of kibble as you throw them, and having it scattered across the floor. If my unique needs meet your unique wants, then please call the shelter at (603) 472-3647!

Story
Have you ever heard of a "spirit cat"? Opossum is a special girl, she's not your average domesticated cat, she's a spirit cat. Spirit cats, like Opossum, are nervous of engaging with humans and prefer to keep their distance, but they can still make good pets because they can make amazing friends for resident felines! Opossum doesn't particularly enjoy humans intruding on her space, but she LOVES other cats. They're her favorite thing about life. We think that if Opossum lived in a home with a friendly cat, she could be quite happy, as long as it was a calm home with a patient owner who wouldn't push her beyond her comfort zone. Friendship would be a welcomed bonus but shouldn't be expected as Opossum is 6 years old and her personality may/may not change in time after she gets to know someone and gets accustomed to a new living space. Opossum would not want to live with a dog. She needs an adult-only home. If you're interested in exploring the idea of adopting our precious little spirit cat Opossum, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment to meet her!

Story
Lassie is a shy girl who is looking for a new home. She came from a house with a lot of cats, so she hasn't had much one-on-one experience with humans. She would likely benefit from a confident cat friend to show her the ropes. If you would like to meet Lennox, give us a call at 603-472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions.

Story
This is Lekie-Grace - a pretty name for a pretty lady. Lekie-Grace is looking for a home with his best friend Newton. They're both 7 years of age and they've always lived together. Lekie-Grace has a soft personality. Newton is shy initially, and Lekie-Grace is shy overall (according to her former owner), so they're looking for a quiet home with a patient owner who can give them time to adjust. Lekie-Grace and Newton might benefit from the company of an outgoing, friendly, cat-savvy cat in the home! A friendly cat can help cats like them adjust, given the right circumstances. They've lived with dogs and children before and they didn't enjoy it so they would prefer not to live with them in the future. They're looking for an adult-only home (teens would be okay too though). If you're interested in providing a home to Lekie-Grace and Newton, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment to meet them!

Abraham is a sweet, 2.5 year old kitty. Abraham has tested positive for FIV but don't let that scare you - FIV kitties can live long, wonderful lives and don't pose a threat to humans or other docile animals. Abraham prefers to be an only kitty (he's actually scared of other kitties!). He is a BIG boy at around 20 pounds! He is a huge cuddle bug and loves people. He is also very chatty!!! Do you have space in your heart and home for this big boy?
