Porsche is a young cat with a rough start. He and his brother were dumped on a porch in the rain. We are working to prove to him he is safe and will never be abandoned again. He has gotten so brave, he is accepting some pets and does not run when approached. He is looking for a patient home to let him continue to grow into the friendly cat we know he will become outside of the shelter environment. You aren't seeing things, he and his brother are mirror twins! Porsche has more orange on his left cheek and Audi has the same amount but on his right cheek! The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Persephone is a beautiful cream-colored cat with one green eye and one blue eye. She is absolutely terrified of the shelter environment. She and her sister Styx originally came from a closed animal shelter in Kansas and were adopted together 4 years ago. Both girls were returned to us when their human moved in with a family full of allergies. After a few years in her previous home, she refused all human contact. She came to us seriously matted and angry. After a full haircut, she looks much better but is still terrified and scared. The shelter is not a good placement for her, but we are doing our best. Belle came to us when her person's living situation changed. She is a 3 year old sweetheart who adores her scritches, but is cat selective. ADOPT LEO! Leo is an 11-year-old tabby with gorgeous marble swirl patterns! Handsome Leo is cuddly, plump, and wants to be the center of your attention. Leo is very vocal, singing the sounds of his people until you give in to his demands - treats and cuddles! Leo takes a slower introduction to other cats but has settled down with the ones he’s met at the shelter. Leo is a large boy but likes to play and join activities. Leo was front declawed by a previous owner and this has started to cause him pain that we will be addressing. The more weight he continues to lose the more active he becomes. This playful guy is acting younger and younger. Leo had been in foster care to help him lose some of his weight. So far he is 3 pounds down! His new home would continue to regulate his intake and encourage playful activity. Ozzie is a 1-year-old beautiful tabby and white kitten. This beautiful girl can't decide if she is primarily affectionate or curious. Ozzie wants all the love then darts out to check out something in the room and come right back for more loving. There is still so much kitten in this sweet girl! Ozzie only has one kidney. The one she has works great, but she is on a wet food diet (not a prescription) to keep her nice and hydrated. This was discovered during her spay and should not affect her life span, lifestyle, or health. Just like humans, cats can live a wonderful life with one kidney. Hi there, I got Kaliyah from a friend who found her as a kitten. She should be a year old in mid November. I’ve had her for about 10 months. She is the absolute sweetest fur baby. I would love to keep her unfortunately I’m unable to financially support two cats. She loves to play, get attention, & cuddle. Kaliyah seems to get along great with other cats, it’s my older cat who is a grumpy toad. Kaliyah would be best fitted in a home with other playful cats or with someone who can give her all the love and affection she needs. She loves to drink from the sink & thinks it’s the perfect bed. She’s still young so she’s a bit shy at first but once she opens up she’s quite vocal. Plus she still has a little bit of that kitten meow to her. She’d honestly such a silly lovable cat. Benson is a bonded pair with Cosmo, and I would like them to be adopted together if possible. Benson is a chill cat who prefers adults. He can be aloof or he can be a cuddle bug depending on his mood. He’s not afraid of new people but he will do best in a home without small children, people who use mobility aids, and dogs.

Salem is a 3 years old cuddle bug I found at a shelter in small town Iowa. I adopted him because I thought my older cat needed a friend but every time Salem comes around him, my older cat hisses and growls. Salem tries so hard for acceptance but no luck. I can tell Salem would enjoy living in a home with another cat who likes cats. He is very friendly and playful. He’s great with my young nieces when they come over and would be a great addition to a home with kids.

All SOLAS cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate shots , wormed, feluk/fiv tested and micro chipped prior to adoption.  We are a network of foster homes, we do not have a shelter, so the fur babies are also litter box trained and treated to make sure there are no fleas.  (We don't want that in our homes either!) She has come a long way from the hissy, spitting kitten she was to grow into the tolerant, friendly cat she now is. She gets along with dogs (as long as she can look down at them from a cat tree) and has become a wrestling partner to Henny Penny. Like any other cat that started out living on the street, she is food motivated. She’s not the kind of gal to sit for hours in your lap but she will follow you everywhere, much like a dog. Cooking dinner in the kitchen, Henny’s there too. Getting dressed in the bedroom, Henny’s there too. In the bathroom, Henny’s ready to assist. She’s either a busy body or an enthusiastic assistant, depending on your point of view.
