Story
Hi there, I got Kaliyah from a friend who found her as a kitten. She should be a year old in mid November. I’ve had her for about 10 months. She is the absolute sweetest fur baby. I would love to keep her unfortunately I’m unable to financially support two cats. She loves to play, get attention, & cuddle. Kaliyah seems to get along great with other cats, it’s my older cat who is a grumpy toad. Kaliyah would be best fitted in a home with other playful cats or with someone who can give her all the love and affection she needs. She loves to drink from the sink & thinks it’s the perfect bed. She’s still young so she’s a bit shy at first but once she opens up she’s quite vocal. Plus she still has a little bit of that kitten meow to her. She’d honestly such a silly lovable cat. Please check out the rest of the shorts on my youtube page! I would love to rehome her ASAP instead of taking her to the NE humane society. Thank you!

Meet Caitlyn our beautiful sweet mama, still a youngster herself. She was stray along with her sibling sister Kris. They each had a litter of kittens and help each other care for them together! Caitlin loves to play with any kitty/cat so if you're looking adopted a pair she'd love to continue living with her sister Kris. Remember cats/kittens do best in pairs!  Once Caitlyn gets to know and trust you this little cutey will quickly come out of her shell and be playful. Then be ready for her to crawl into your lap and purr away. Soon she will then be asking for belly rubs and treats. She has been an amazing mama to her  kittens....very gentle, patient and loving but now it's her time for her own life full of love and safety.  Please apply today at www.havenanimalrescuenebraska.org to set up a meet or to get all your questions answered. All cats are up to date with vaccinations, altered and  Felv/FIV tested. All adopted cats MUST BE INSIDE ONLY!  DONATION ADOPTION FEE: $100 (If adopted as a pair we offer $25 off each cat).    PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! November 1, 2024, 5:40 pm

Story
Meet  our stunning fun Mama Kris! She is still a youngster herself. She was stray along with her sibling sister Caitlyn. They each had a litter of kittens and help each other care for them! Kris is the more outgoing r of the two and would love to be adopted with her sister Caitlyn as they are definitely a bonded pair! We would consider splitting for the right family but cats and kittens do best in pairs and we have a ready made set for your family. Kris warms up quickly and will run up for pets and attention. She loves attention and cuddles and will happily share with her sister Caitlyn! She will meow for love and happily shows her love for food with her grumble purr while eating wet food. Kris is an amazing mama but when no longer occupied with her three babies she will love playing and having a life of her own! Please apply today at www.havenanimalrescuenebraska.org to set up a meet or to get all your questions answered. All cats are up to date with vaccinations, altered and Felv/FIV tested. Kim is an adorable chunky little monkey. This girl likes to play and eat, eat, eat! She loves people, playing with her siblings and the challenge of climbing. I also should mention beware of wearing fuzzy socks as Kim tends to view them as tree trunks that she must scale! Story
Porsche is a young cat with a rough start. He and his brother were dumped on a porch in the rain. We are working to prove to him he is safe and will never be abandoned again. He has gotten so brave, he is accepting some pets and does not run when approached. He is looking for a patient home to let him continue to grow into the friendly cat we know he will become outside of the shelter environment. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.  Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. If you are interested in any of our animals please fill out an application on our website www.townandcountryanimalrescue.org After you have submitted an application and been approved, a Cat Team member will reach out to set up a “meet and greet” between you and the pet. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team members or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.** Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission ##2094923##

Story
Audi is a young cat looking for a place to call home. He and his brother were abandoned on a porch in the rain. Audi escaped and spent a week in the wild and did not have a good experience. Once caught he stayed hidden at the shelter whenever possible. He was so scared, we are trying to prove to him he is safe and protected. He has made great strides trusting pets to his paws and sometimes doesn't hide when you catch him exploring. We are excited to see him flourish outside of the shelter environment. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Story
Persephone is a beautiful cream-colored cat with one green eye and one blue eye. She is absolutely terrified of the shelter environment. She and her sister Styx originally came from a closed animal shelter in Kansas and were adopted together 4 years ago. Both girls were returned to us when their human moved in with a family full of allergies. After a few years in her previous home, she refused all human contact. She came to us seriously matted and angry. After a full haircut, she looks much better but is still terrified and scared. The shelter is not a good placement for her, but we are doing our best. She and her sister will need the most patience of any cat we have seen in quite some time.  The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.  Please note, that we do NOT allow the declawing of any cat or kitten we adopt unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. This beautiful girl can't decide if she is primarily affectionate or curious. She wants all the love then darts out to check out something in the room and come right back for more loving. There is so much kitten in this girl it is hard to believe she is almost one year old! She was briefly adopted but was too much kitten for them. Ralph is a great cat. He is snuggly and playful when he gets comfortable, but he is a scaredy cat that will need time to adjust. We're having trouble with him peeing on the dog beds and any laundry left on the floor and our attempts to get this behavior to stop hasn't worked, so we are looking to re-home him. Maybe someone with more experience or fewer cats can correct this.

Oscar is such a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle and rub his face on yours. He enjoys laying on the back of the couch and resting his legs over your shoulder. I love him so much. I need for him to have a good home. I can't keep him because my grandson is extremely allergic. I know he will make a great addition to your family.

Story
Red Velvet is a very sweet and loving boy to humans. He has issues with my other male cat. He is around 3 years old and I have had him for about a year. He has started fighting more with my other male cat but he gets along great with my two female cats. I just want to make sure that he goes to a loving home as he is a good cat, but I can’t keep him in a home where he is starting issues with one of my other cats. He does have a heart murmur but we are not sure if it was something he was born with or developed.
