Story
Lee is the kind of cat who always has to be around people, but doesn't want you to know that he needs it. He's a special little chonker who loves food and a good nap. He also is particularly fond of falling asleep on freshly cleaned laundry and sitting on chair arm rests. I am moving in with my girlfriend who has a cat with FIV, and taking Lee with me is not an option, for many other situation reasons, but one of the main reasons being it wouldn't be a healthy option for Lee to be exposed to FIV, and hence I need to rehome him. If you wan't a fluffy chonky companion for your home, consider Lee boy.

Cappuccino needs a new forever home due to my living situation. She is cuddly, likes to lay near your feet. She likes to run through tunnels. Her favorite toys are laser lights, balls, wands and playing in boxes. She gets along with kids and other cats. She spends most of her time looking out the window. I don’t think her shots are up to date but I can definitely help with that. Cappuccino likes to bring her toy to you to play! Serious inquiries only I need to find Cappuccino a great home!

Story
Honey is a lover through and through. She loves getting pets and attention from her humans, but most of all loves it from her kitty friends. Honey would do best in a home with other cat friendly kitties as she loves to cuddle and rub into her furry friends. Honey has lived in a home with dogs and tolerates them. Honey can be a little skittish at first but will come around since she craves attention. Adopt Honey today!!

This is Dori! She was 3yr 3mo when I adopted her in February of 2024. Since then, she hasn’t been getting along with my other cat. Dori would thrive being in a home where it’s just her waddling around. Im willing to give the new owner supplies as well!! Dori: I love to snuggle and purr right in your face. I’m purfect for someone who loves to cuddle up and watch a movie or nap. A child can also love on me I love all affection. I would be perfect for a lonely human needing a companion

Story
Precious was a stray that my older sister rescued. Then my sister passed away in August of 2024 so we took her in with the intention of introducing her to our two other cats. That has not worked out at all. She was the only pet in her home for her whole 9 years and has no tolerance for any other cats! We tried the recommended methods for integrating them, but unfortunately she seems to regard the other 2 as intruders in HER home. She's so sweet and affectionate, loves cuddles and kisses and is very playful. She took the loss of her human mama very hard. She lost weight from not eating and some fur fell out. Once she came to us she started improving, gained weight and her fur started filling in. She weighs 9 lbs now. Precious does have a habit of trying to bite. We're working with her on that. I really think she would get along best in a quiet environment with someone who can give her lots of attention and affection. If you are experienced with cats, she will be a perfect companion!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Teri (terik@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. About T.A.R.A. | Adopt | Volunteer | Donate Shadow is a sweet cat looking for his forever home after being abandoned by his previous owner. Shadow is a friendly, outgoing 8 year old male. He is shy at first, but once he trusts you he will warm up to you. He enjoys rubbing his chin on his fosters hand for affection.  He will probably do best as an only cat. Shadow is a diabetic kitty. Shadow is currently with a foster family, and they are doing a great job keeping  his diabetes under control by closely monitoring his diet, blood sugar and insulin levels daily. Shadow will need this daily care to keep him healthy and stable so he can enjoy many more years. The foster family can give you all the details needed to care for this sweet guy! Adoption Fee: $75 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV Combo test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption. Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed. Adoption centers may not have a volunteer present to open the cat enclosures, and we have foster homes located throughout the KC metro area. Please fill out an application if you'd like to meet this cat. Interested in this pet? Please fill out a non-binding application. Our goal is to find life-long matches between animals and families, and the application provides us with a lot of information to help us help you find that match!  November 16, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Liddy, gov name Lidia Anne, is a sweet girl we adopted from Wayside Waifs. She was originally rescued by them from a shelter in Tennessee (where she was microchipped & spayed). She is approximately 5-7 years old, and has the most beautiful blue/green eyes. Liddy will need a relatively quiet home with lots of loves & cuddles available at the beck and call of her little squeaks. Unsure of how she is with other cats, but definitely NO dogs. She is ok with kids/strangers & will keep her distance until she’s comfortable with interacting. She will need a home with hardwood floors as she has issues with eliminating outside of the litter box due to carpet preference over litter. We have tried several types of litter & boxes, and while she’s trained/knows where to go & will use the boxes, she still occasionally chooses to use the carpet in the area of her boxes. Outside of this she has 0 other behavioral issues. She is silly, loving, gets the cutest zoomies at bedtime, & loves birdwatching!

Story
This sweet cat is semi-feral has been with ABF for an extended period.  While some progress has been made, there is still wariness of human contact and he will tend to avoid interaction.  This cat has never been exposed to outdoor elements or hunting, so would not be suitable as a barn cat. He is used to living in an air conditioned and heated building with other cats in a very clean room that has lots of windows and is excellent at using the litter box. We would love for him to have a home of his own where he could continue to thrive.

Story
Trixie is a lovable, cuddly, mischievous, fun kitty. She deserves a home where people can cuddle with her. Unfortunately, after getting married recently, my husband has been really struggling with her. As a result she spends a lot of time separated from the people she wants to cuddle with so badly! She would love to be your best friend!

Story
Lots of fun, lots of energy! Sissy and Beau are bonded sister and brother about five months old. Toys on a string, a box, catnip mice--these two luv it all. While they would do best in a home together, they could be rehomed separately. They enjoy time with my 8-year-old boy cat and other kittens. They were brought to my porch by their mom when they were about five weeks old. These are the softest, silkiest kittens I have ever held. I'm requesting a vet reference from potential owners.

Story
I got my cat from a friend who could not take care of her. My cat is 2 years old and her birthday is March 25th, 2023. Im looking for a home thats loving, caring, and has plenty of space for play and relaxation. I would describe my cat as shy, curious, playful, and affectionate when she wants to be. She loves to cuddle or lay in on people’s chest. She will come with a pink carrier bag, her favorite cat nip, bed, toys, and a couple outfits.
