Waldo was adopted as a tiny feral kitten in 2014. He is now 10 years old and after many big life changes in recent years (a few cross-country moves, a new live-in partner, a dog...) he is not doing well in our home. He is still playful and SO, so loving - the little guy LOVES attention and cuddles - but he has been spraying outside of his litter box and getting aggressive (stalking, biting, scratching and leaving marks). My partner and I plan to start a family soon and we just can't risk having a baby around a cat who has shown unprompted aggression. We have tried Feliway, different litter/litter box, more enrichment/attention, different food, and received a 100% clean bill of health from his vet, but he is still not improving. My belief is that Waldo needs to be an "only child" in a steady, stable home where he gets lots of attention and affection. I truly believe he is just not happy here, and with the right home, he will be himself again.

Autumn was adopted by us from a shelter, prior to us she was fostered and rescued from a hoarding situation. She has a had two litters but is fixed. Autumn has never shown us one ounce of aggression. She is the kindest cat. Loves an occasional cuddle, she will meow your ear off at dinner time but is more quiet during the day. As sweet and amazing as she is, she is sick. After many vet visit we can no longer help her on her road to health. She needs a tooth pulled and further vet visits and/or procedures for her sneezing. Vets say it may be conditional sneezing but can be helped with nose drops and vitamins. It breaks our heart to let her go but she needs a home to can afford to get her on the track to the long life she deserves. A larger home than our apartment as well to give her more room to wander, and play! Vets and guest always comment on how sweet and cut she is. Ive owned her for about a year and she has never hissed. Lastly, for other cats and babies, she is kind but very shy!

Annabelle and her brothers, Chucky and Freddy, were living at a feral cat colony in the city. Our friends with St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach trapped them while doing TNR (trap/neuter/return) on some feral cats and realized that these babies were too young to go back. Fortunately, one of our awesome rescue friends agreed to take them in and socialize them for us until we had space. All three kitties are very long and lean and have smooth, sleek coats. Because they were caught when they were a bit older, they are shy and timid initially and need time to build trust with new people. Once they get to know you, they are little love bugs and will climb all over your lap and purr as soon as you pet them. They do startle at loud noises and sudden movement and will hide from people they do not know. However, they are docile as can be and do not have a mean bone in their bodies. Annabelle is the most petite of the group and she has the cutest face with big round eyes. She is the biscuit maker of the group and purrs contently while kneading her blankie when she's really happy. All three kitties LOVE canned food and will come running as soon as they hear the can open. They adore other cats and seek comfort from them, so they must not be only kitties in their new homes. Because they are more timid in nature, they would do best in a quieter home without kids and with patient owners who will give them the time that they need to settle in to their new surroundings and gain confidence. Squee has always been a very rambunctious kitty. When I first saw him born, I named him Squee because he was the loudest of the bunch. He’s a very playful and energetic cat who loves playing with kids and people and enjoys the occasional snuggle. We have a 5 years old boy that he loves to play with and be silly with. Mama Mo is a sweet cat- she has lived a tough life outdoors after her owners moved away. She was a good mama to her kittens (all adopted and loving their new homes)! She is learning to trust people again- and can sometimes be a little spicy if you pet her past her allotted timespan (which only she is privy to). She had a brief stint at Whisker Station, but that wasn't her jam- she was not at all aggressive with the other cats but prefers a quieter more laid back vibe. So now she is back with us in her favorite chair! She deserves the absolute best- a family (without young kids) that really understands and appreciates cat behavior as she does have a few quirks! I think she would be fine with non-aggressive dogs or cats. She is pretty much ignores the other animals in our home- a dog and 3 other cats.
