Hi, I'm Elektra. I've been raised in a loving foster home with my brothers Blade and Gambit. They have both been gone for about a month now. I'm the one with no collar. Blade and I were both very scared, hissy, not handleable, and I took it one step further with swatting and growling. Gambit can't possibly be related to us because he is way too nice! I still have a lot of work to do but I have come a long way. I used to hide all the time, but I have started to come out more to play. I really like chasing wands and strings. I still don't like being touched but I will tolerate it when given squeezable treats. I am looking for a forever home that is willing to go the extra mile to teach me that humans are actually kind of nice to be around. A quiet home that is patient, kind, and understanding that I may take longer than other kittens to warm up. Come back for updates on my progress in my foster home. Update 10/25: I have warmed up more to pets and even can be heard purring at times. I have a really nice kitty tower that is my safe space. I am more accepting of scratches and love and have the cutest little squeak/meow. I can even be seen rolling around and showing my tummy. Occasionally, I will come out for scratches and even sat on my foster mom's lap last week. I am still pretty nervous around strangers. Slowly but surely making progress.

Fusilli is a gentle natured gal. A long lean body and casual gate show off her elegance as she calmly walks across the room. Eyes of soft clear green set off her petite face. She can be talkative when she is hunger, her bowl is out of food, is wanting attention or to play, and when looking for her human. Although she is not necessarily a lap cat, should she climb in your lap for cuddles, have a blanket or towel handy, she does use her nails as she lovingly kneads your leg as you stroke her silky hair. On occasion she may lay next to you and is easily picked up but will immediately want down. She's an affection lady who craves attention and wants desperately to play and interact with her person. It appears she has been abused at some time in her life, because the simplest hand movement can send her into hiding. A soft, loving, coaxing voice of reassurance will entice her to come out of hiding. This little gal is really great and wants desperately to trust her human and fulfill all you could want from a feline companion. Her gentleness and loving nature should make her fine with older children and a little education about how cats use their nails when kneading. She always uses her litter box and always uses an old rolled up piece of rug I have for scratching. Be sure to mention her name when completing the adoption application to insure you get first call at meeingt this beautiful girl.

Hello, I'm Theo! I'm a shy but affectionate cat looking for a friend who understands me. I've been a little stressed since arriving at the shelter (it can be a pretty scary place for a cat), so I've been a little slow to open up and show off my true personality-- however, I do enjoy wet food treats and gentle pets. I would probably prefer a household that is pretty quiet and doesn't have too much hustle and bustle. I did live with another cat previously (Luna), and may adjust to new feline friends after a slow introduction. My foster says "Theo is a very sweet and affectionate cat. Starting off, the first week or so, he was very shy and timid and hid under the bed. He would come up to me when I would show him his wet food, but wouldn't come out from under the bed. Gradually, Theo came out and started to explore the room. Theo is still shy around new people and typically comes out when I am in the room with the door shut. He loves to come visit me when I get home with a few meows and then jumps on my bed purring and wanting pets. Theo has been eating, and using his litter box, and he loves wet food, catnip, and certain toys."

Alistair is a friendly indoor-outdoor cat who is very popular in my neighborhood. He has loads of personality, including a few quirky traits, e.g. sometimes he pees in the human toilet to avoid going out in the snow! Alistair is really a swell little guy. We love him a lot. The reason we are re re-homing him is that he has developed a strong rivalry with another cat in the neighborhood, resulting in frequent trips to the vet by the other cat. Alistair was feral when he was younger (before joining our household), and attempts to convert him to an entirely indoor lifestyle have so far failed. Reluctantly, I am searching for a new home for Alistair in order to protect the other cat.
