Bronco is a big sweetheart! He always wants to be in the same room as all the action. We have three boys and he can definitely play with them. He sleeps most of the day, and is such a gentle soul. We went out of town two years ago for a family vacation and while we were gone we had someone watch him. Ever since we came back he poops right outside the litter box. When we take him out of town to my Moms house, he uses the litter box more there., it could be something he associates with us. We just are in a position where we need to rehome him. We’ve had him for about 7 years, he is a big kitty, and very sweet, and would love for a family to love on him!

Gary is described by us and visitors in our home as "the coolest cat ever". All gets along with big humans, small humans, dogs...but apparently not cats anymore. All he wants is a lap (or several laps) to sleep on and he's a happy guy, he just doesn't want to share it with another cat. He is the greeting committee at our home, usually right next to the dog when we open the door to guests and follows them until they sit down so he can perch on their lap. We are reluctantly rehoming Gary as he has recently decided after 5 years of living with our other cat, he no longer likes other cats which is causing chaos in our home. For the last 6 months we've ruled out illness and followed advice of our vet and other feline experts to try and get them back to friend zone, but nothing we try is working. He is just not happy here and it's not fair to him to continue living in stress. He loves us, he loves our dog, he is just no longer content to share his home with another cat.

About T.A.R.A. | Adopt | Volunteer | Donate Shadow is a sweet cat looking for his forever home after being abandoned by his previous owner. Shadow is a friendly, outgoing 8 year old male. He is shy at first, but once he trusts you he will warm up to you. He enjoys rubbing his chin on his fosters hand for affection. He will probably do best as an only cat. Shadow is a diabetic kitty. Shadow is currently with a foster family, and they are doing a great job keeping his diabetes under control by closely monitoring his diet, blood sugar and insulin levels daily. Shadow will need this daily care to keep him healthy and stable so he can enjoy many more years. The foster family can give you all the details needed to care for this sweet guy! Adoption Fee: $75 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV Combo test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption. Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed. Adoption centers may not have a volunteer present to open the cat enclosures, and we have foster homes located throughout the KC metro area. These lovable and sweet kitties are bonded and need to be adopted together. Both are spayed, microchipped, in good health, and are up-to-date on shots. Khabibi definitely has a TON of personality and is the dominant one. Super smart, playful, talkative, adventurous, loves to be petted and talked too. Bertie is more reserved, but super sweet/cuddly and also loves to play and be talked to. They also love each other very much, and often sleep/eat/play together. They recently lost their beloved owner and need a loving forever home. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! Adoption fees on our adult cats is $50, and for kittens the fee is $100. All cats must leave in a secure carrier. If you don't have one, we have cardboard carriers for sale for $10. All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. Bob is a sweet boy and a fun, fun cat. He's around three years old and weighs about nine pounds. His fur is silky soft and he loves to be petted. He's very loving and especially sweet with kittens, taking over caring for foster kittens in his foster home when their mama is off duty. The picture of him in the kitten pile will make you melt! Bob also loves to play! Because of his avid and energetic play style, Bob has earned the nickname "Bob the Terminator." His passion is electronic games that he can carry around and disassemble! Bob is selective about his feline friends. He gets along famously with some cats but others, not so much. A slow, appropriate introduction will help ensure Bob and your resident kitties get along. With Bob, you'll never be alone as he is always interested in what you're doing and loves to be involved. Doing a little work at the computer? Bob will help! Cleaning the house? Bob will supervise! When Bob was a kitten he had a severe upper respiratory infection and had to have one of his eyes removed. They were able to save the other eye to keep his eyesight. That eye is sensitive and Bob will need your help taking care of it with warm washcloths and eye drops. Bob is cooperative, though, so providing care to him is not difficult. Posey is a quiet, shy girl who didn't have the best start to life. She was a stray who thought she found safety with someone who let her have litter after litter of kittens. While Posey was trying to care for her last litter, he fed her bone meal -- no water or food to help her survive, much less stay healthy. Her kittens suffered unimaginable pain at the hands of that caretaker. Only two survived. Now Posey's last kitten has found a home and Posey is all alone. She's healthy now, and ready to start her new life with a family who loves her to the moon and back. She likes being petted, napping in sunrays on soft blankets, and having quiet conversations with her human friends. Latté is an extremely sweet, but sassy girl. She has that tortititude, but loves to give kisses and licks. Your skin is free real estate to her licks! I have 2 other cats she tolerates, a 9 year old female and a one year old male! She gives my male a bit of attitude when he tries to play and she's not feeling it, but that's just her tortititude. Although, most that attitude is just her grumbling and running away! She's also good with everyone, including the Christmas tree (hasn't knocked it down or anything)! Kids, adults, etc! I'm a kid myself, and she tolerates me, so I know she'll do well with kids and cats! Dogs on the other hand, I don't have any so do take it slow if you want to try! If you find out she's not a good match for you, before a month is over you can return her if need be! I'm fostering her right now, and luckily I don't have a limit of when she's got to go, so hopefully Latté will be a good choice for your life! 🙇🏽‍♀️❤️

I acquired Neptune through a former roommate that threatened to put him down if I couldn't take him in after she moved out. He has always been antisocial the past 5 years I have had him, though when I got my second cat, he showed a lot of affection towards her, loves her to bits. I have tried many things to ease his anxiety including probiotics, infusers, designated one on one time, and introducing little changes to environment here and there to potentially have hin interact eith me more. Ever since my dad got his new dog however, his anxiety has gotten worse and he's started peeing just outside of the litter box. He's a sweet cat, very chatty, and can show a lot of affection, but he does not with me. I am unable to provide more care for him at this point.
