Story
Delilah is all white except for a black tail and 2 spots on her head. The vet thinks she was born in 2019. Delilah is quiet, avoidant of strangers, friendly with her trusted persons, and affectionate on her terms. She accepts a little brushing on her back, shies from petting, and doesn’t want to be held. If there is no competition, she rolls over on her tummy when playing with wand toys and also plays by herself with toys. Delilah enjoys watching wildlife at the window. She gets along with male cats and is competitive with some girl cats. Delilah has not met dogs or kids under age nine. She enjoys the company of her calico daughter, Dotty. Delilah needs a patient adopter willing to give her time to trust and blossom to be the nice cat that she is. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. For further information or to start the adoption process, leave a message at 612-202-9492 or email cattalesmn@outlook.com If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). ~*~*~* Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cattalesmn *~*~*~*~*

Story
3 yr 7 m0 JR was found as an abandoned cat and turned over to rescue. The vet thinks he was born around April 2020. JR likes playing with wand toys and watching wildlife at the window. He likes petting, brushing, and purrs contentedly after a while. He would do best having another cat for a buddy. With proper introductions, he gets along with most cats. JR is friendly with trusted folks and shy/avoidant around strangers. He is affectionate on his own terms. He is quiet until meal time when he tells you to hurry up. JR would be best with kids over age seven, and he hasn’t met dogs. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Story
Ivory, born June 2023, was found abandoned in a park as a tiny kitten. She is white with a few black spots on the top of her head. Ivory is very friendly with known folks and shy of strangers. She is affectionate, easy-going, and quiet until meal time when she tells you to hurry up. She greets you at the door, follows you, plus likes to sleep with you for part of the night. She will jump into your lap when you sit or let you place her there, staying as long as you brush or pet her. Ivory purrs on contact with a trusted person. She gives kitty kisses, rubs against your face, plus will play with her water dish and with running water. Ivory plays with toys by herself or interactively with you and likes watching wildlife at the window. She is passive with most other cats, has met kids over age seven and is fine with them, plus she interacts with the resident dog. Ivory would enjoy the company of another pet, after proper introduction. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. Story
Destiny, a friendly pregnant stray, was turned in the rescue. She is estimated to be 2-3 years-old. Destiny is out-going and kitten active. She jumps into your lap or lets you place her there for short sessions of brushing and petting. She tolerates being picked up, greets you at the door, and follows you around the house. Destiny purrs quickly when she interacts with her trusted person. She hasn’t met dogs, is okay after proper introductions to male cats, and is a bit on the dominant side. She hasn’t met children, but if they are respectful, Destiny should be fine. She enjoys watching the goings on out the window, playing with toys by herself and interactive toys you. Destiny is friendly with strangers after about an hour. She knows her name and comes when called. She has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Foster pals are available. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax. Story
Harry is 13 and likes attention, especially being scratched under his chin and behind his ears. He likes to sit on someone's lap and snuggles in for a petting and purring session. He does NOT like being petted on the top of his head. Harry enjoys being brushed. He's lived in a house with a three-season porch so he can see the outside world and approaches any and every door in the hopes of going outside. He is independent but likes to be around people. He would prefer to be the only pet but would be ok with a calm dog or another cat. He doesn't play very much but loves rubbing his face on the cat nip toys. Harry is diabetic and requires insulin injections with twice daily meals. He is very good when getting the injections. He is also on a prescription diet for his diabetes.Harry has had a complete wellness exam, is microchipped, neutered, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and is updated on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $225.00 which includes a free wellness exam within 7 days of adoption. Harry is currently located in a foster home. Payment is either cash or check. Sorry, we do not do any out-of-state adoptions. ADOPTING A PET IS A LIFELONG COMMITMENT!

Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $175.00 will be applied during the contract process Hi, my name is Hootie! I'm a transfer from a local impound in MN. From the foster: Hi, I'm Hootie! I bet you have never met a kitten as spunky as me! I love to do all your typical kitten things like running, jumping and pouncing! But you know what I love more? Wrestling! Once all my wrestling charades are over, I'm ready to snuggle and show you my soft side. I came into the rescue as a single kitten with no siblings, so I'm still learning to be a gentleman. Because I didn't have siblings to show me the ropes, I'm still a little mouthy and can play a bit rough with other cats and dogs, which means I might not be the best choice for small children. I would love to have a buddy to play with and continue to show me to be the best little kitty I can be! Medical Bio:Hello! Throughout my veterinary care at The Bond Between, it was discovered that I have a grade 4/6 heart murmur. I had a cardiologist and echocardiogram performed. The Vet Team recommends that I stay on my current medication and have special blood work done every 6 months to monitor for any signs of heart disease. My future adopter can choose to pursue further cardiac consultation/treatment per a primary veterinarian's recommendations at their own expense.

I am from Minnesota. From her foster: Uno is shy and seems to be a one person cat. She only spends time with my daughter. Uno doesn't like to be held or sit on your lap. We have to bring her in to get her nails clipped every 4-5 weeks. She won't allow us to do it at home. Uno would adapt to a smaller family without pets. She eats cat food, but would prefer people food. She was a stray before we received her November 2023

I am from a local shelter. From my foster: Meet Unique! 🌟 He’s the sweetest cat you’ll ever meet and his love language is all about cuddles and companionship. Unique’s favorite thing in the world is curling up beside you for a cozy nap. If you're looking for a furry friend who will happily snuggle up next to you, he’s your guy. He also loves getting pets and will gladly soak up all the affection you have to offer. If you’re ready to give this gentle, loving kitty a forever home, Unique is sure to steal your heart! 💕🐾

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi My name is Compass ! I'm from Minnesota! From his foster: Meet Compass! Compass is a playful, loving, curious, goofy, timid cat. He loves pets. He especially loves pets while plopped in front of you using your foot as a pillow. Compass is great with other cats. If there can be any silver lining to his unfortunate upbringing (hoarding situation) it’s that he is really comfortable living with other cats. He lives with two cats currently, one that joined the home months later. Compass showed no signs of territorial aggression towards the new cat (no aggression whatsoever). He wasn’t instantly loving; he kept distance for a while, then tested the new cat’s desire to play. He now has two best buds — two and a half if you count the human. Why half, you might ask? Because his trust is HARD earned. I (the above-referenced human) am still working to earn his trust… but it is so worth with it! At this point, he needs to come to you when he wants pets (which is very often!). He does not like to be approached. He’ll run if you try approaching him or if he feels like he’s being cornered. He also seems to have safe zones. He wants all the pets in the living room, but he’s not sure about upstairs. With time, Compass could turn into a lap cat who isn’t afraid of new people/noises/etc., but a future family should not adopt Compass if they are counting on him to become this kind of cat. His future family needs to be ok with him as is he is today. Other considerations: Compass loooves toys. All toys are fun to him. He also loves spending time in cat trees (he favors the very top but will make an exception for a hammock/bowl). He loves looking out the window and tracking birds, bunnies and other passerby. Compass has been exposed to dogs a few times. He hides for the most part but will pop out to observe from a distance after a while. I think it’s highly likely he’ll do fine in a home with a cat-friendly dog, so long as he is given time to adjust. As stated before, Compass had a rough life before coming to The Bond Between. His future family needs to be patient and allow Compass all the space and time he needs to adjust. He hasn’t done this for awhile, but it is worth noting that Compass has previously shown fear-based aggression when he feels cornered or a person gets too close. He hisses and feigns scratching (he’ll strike with his paw but does not extend his nails). He should not live with young kids. I also feel a home with more than a couple people would not be best for him, given how timid he is and how long it takes him to adjust. While I believe Compass would adjust to a brand new environment and other cat(s), his friend Tape (also available for adoption) would struggle on her own. In an ideal world, a future family would want to adopt both Compass and Tape so they can live out their best lives together. It is not a requirement though. It is a requirement that he live with a cat(s). Compass has been great with the litter box since day 1! Compass does not know the name Compass. In his foster home, the most frequently used name is Moon or Moonie (no idea why). He does seem to respond to that name, but he’ll learn a new one! If Compass sounds like the kitty you’ve been looking for, please fill out an application. He’ll be… scared to meet you, but hopefully it’s a good match!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi! I'm from Minnesota! From her foster: Meet Tape (aka sweet girl/little girl/missy/and more). She is a petite, shy girl who appreciates a quiet space with many options for where she can go to be on her own when she feels like it. After 4+ months in her foster home, Tape has shown great progress (and promise!) towards being comfortable with people. Day by day, she gets a little closer to me or stays a little longer in my presence. If you’re real patient and still, she’ll sometimes come up to sniff/boop an extended hand. She’ll also get close to you while playing with string toys. All that said, Tape is still very much scared of people. Potential adopters need to know that she is currently not affectionate and nowhere near a “lap cat.” With time, she could get there, but a future family should not adopt Tape if they are counting on her to become affectionate. Her future family needs to be ok with her as is he is today. Living with another cat is essential for Tape. She needs the comfort and familiarity of a feline buddy. She currently lives with Compass (boy) and Ivy (girl), who are also available for adoption. Tape favors Compass, whom she’s been with the longest. Potential adopters should know: Tape had a rough start before coming to rescue (hoarding situation), which I believe is why she is so fearful. It took Tape several months in her foster home to fully adjust. At this time, she is still fearful of people. Cannot be approached. She is very curious though! She will closely watch you and how you and other cats interact with each other. She’ll walk over and stop just a couple feet away when you are petting another cat. She is very playful, which is so fun to see! She enjoys cat trees and looking out windows. We feel strongly that she should live in a quiet, stable environment of adults only who can give her all the space and time she needs. She likes having multiple litter boxes. If her home has multiple floors, preferably there is a litter box on each of them. This will also help prevent any accidents in the beginning when she may be too afraid to venture far from a hiding spot. In summary, Tape is shy. You will need to put in the work to win her over, and it will be SO rewarding when you do eventually earn her trust. If you think she is the one you have been looking for, please fill out an application. She will be… scared to meet you 😊 but let’s find out if you’re a match!
