Story
MARBLE / 11.5 YEARS / DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR CAT Marble came to Grey Face due to her former owner passing away. She loves her naps, laying on the floor and getting the occasional catnip treat. Marble also likes to be brushed and snuggle by your side. She would love multiple scratching posts and maybe some indoor grass, as she did go outside occasionally with her prior owner and loved the grass. Marble was overweight when she first came to Grey Face, but has successfully lost her excess weight with the help of her dedicated foster. She's ideally looking for someone that can continue to pay attention to her diet and portion feed her on a regular schedule. Dogs: No - Marble is very afraid of dogs! Cats: Yes - but is a bit more on the dominant side Kids: Yes, older children Health Concerns: None If you're interested in adopting Marble, please fill out an adoption application here: https://www.greyfacerescue.org/cat-adoption-application November 4, 2024, 7:47 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Pamera is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She came to me with her 5 newborn kittens and immediately started purring as soon as I opened her kennel. She’s playful and frequently seeks attention from anyone willing to show her some love! When her kittens get attention, she wants to be right there in the the center of it all. She has the most gorgeous green eyes and is an all-around awesome kitty who deserves an equally awesome home. Pamera is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. SuperMom is a sweet and independent feline who enjoys being near her humans without always being on top of them. She'll grace you with a few loving laps across your legs before settling nearby in her favorite chair or cat bed. Once comfy, she’ll knead biscuits, purr contentedly, and snooze the day away. This adventurous girl loves lounging at the top of a cat tree or in an open window, where she can watch the world go by. While she enjoys chasing dangly toys during playtime, she’s also content relaxing in her own space. SuperMom has a refined palate—she adores canned cat food with gravy and isn’t too keen on dry food. Though she can be a little shy at first, SuperMom warms up quickly and will show her affectionate side in no time. She is reliably litterbox trained. If you are looking to adopt two cats, SuperMom currently lives with Josephine. They get along well and can be adopted together. If you're looking for a gentle and loving companion with a touch of independence, SuperMom might just be the perfect addition to your home! SuperMom is from a local impound. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Josephine is a gentle and shy soul who’s looking for a calm and loving home to call her own. She’s the kind of cat who takes her time getting comfortable in new surroundings, often preferring to quietly observe from a cozy perch or her favorite spot by the window. But once she feels safe, Josephine’s playful side begins to shine! She enjoys chasing dangly toys, rolling around on rugs, and even indulging in spontaneous zoomies. While Josephine isn’t much of a lap cat, she’s tolerant of being picked up for brief moments and doesn’t mind gentle pets, especially while she’s enjoying her meals. Her favorite treats include lickable cat snacks and gravy-style canned food, though she’s recently developed a taste for Meow Mix dry food as well. Josephine is fully litterbox trained. She thrives in a quiet environment with patient humans who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace. If you're looking for two kitties, Josephine currently lives with SuperMom and they can be adopted together as they get along well. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance companion with a touch of playful charm, Josephine would love to meet you! Josephine is from a local impound. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I'm Duchess! I'm a smart and resourceful kitty who's settling into the indoor life beautifully. I love having a cozy spot to call my own, tasty food to enjoy, and a warm bed to snuggle in. My favorite time of day is when my foster mom sits on the floor to pet me—I’ll even rub against her leg to ask for more attention! I’m a fan of scratching posts and always use my litterbox like the well-mannered lady I am. While I’m still learning to trust new people and can be a little shy at first, I’m sure to blossom with patience and a calm environment. I’m not a big fan of being picked up, but maybe that will change over time as I continue to build my confidence. I’d love to have another cat friend in my forever home—they help me feel more secure and show me the ropes. I haven’t met kids yet, so I’d probably do best in a quieter home where I can adjust at my own pace. If you think we’d be a good match, I’d love to meet you! Fill out an application, and let’s see if I could be your perfect companion. Duchess is from local impound. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Harry: The Shy Silver Tabby Harry is a charming silver gray tabby with a sprinkle of white on his belly and paws. At just 10 months old, this sweet boy is still finding his way in the world. Initially shy around new people, he’s slowly learning to trust and has made wonderful progress with his foster mom. Harry has discovered that a gentle pet from a human can feel delightful, and he’s starting to show his affection by rubbing against legs and approaching for sniffs at mealtime. When he’s not exploring his newfound comfort, you can find him snuggled up under the blankets, enjoying the warmth and safety of his cozy spot. With a little patience and love, Harry is ready to blossom into a loyal companion. Could you be the one to give him his forever home?   Harry is a young, light grey tabby with a heart as gentle as his soft fur. Rescued from a precarious situation near road construction by a compassionate Good Samaritan, Harry is now in search of a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. As the shyest member of his group, Harry takes his time to warm up to new experiences. He prefers to observe from a distance, but he's making brave strides by coming out to eat while his foster mom is still in the room. He’s taken tentative steps toward human interaction, approaching for a gentle sniff before retreating to his safe spot. Harry is a quiet, curious kitty who loves to play and explore his surroundings. His reserved nature is paired with a deep curiosity and a sense of wonder that makes every day an opportunity for discovery. With patience and a nurturing touch, Harry will flourish into a loving companion who appreciates the quieter moments and gentle companionship. If you have a cozy corner and a tender heart to offer, Harry is ready to become a cherished member of your family. Harry was a stray. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
