Story
Meet Cheeseball, your future feline BFF! This little ball of fluff might have herpes, but don't worry—it's not the kind you catch at a party. He has Feline Herpesvirus (FHV-1), which means he occasionally has a runny nose and a slightly dramatic flair for sneezing, but that's just part of his charm. Think of him as your personal, furry diva, who knows how to make an entrance. Despite his occasional "sniffles," Cheeseball is the most loving, cuddle-ready cat you'll ever meet. He's a pro at lounging on the couch, binge-watching Netflix with you, and demanding belly rubs like a true royalty. He may have a bit of a sniffle, but that’s just his way of keeping things interesting—like a cat version of a rom-com heroine with a dramatic backstory. He's great with other cats, dogs, and humans alike, and he promises to bring all the love, none of the drama. Plus, his herpes? Totally manageable! He'll still give you endless purrs, snuggles, and the occasional extra sneeze (for added excitement). Ready for a little extra personality in your life? Adopt Cheeseball and let him add some sparkle (and a few tissues) to your world.

Story
“Some people make the world special just by being in it.” – Selffa.com. I’ll bet you’re a special person, aren’t you? I think I’m special too. I’m a cute, lovable seven-year-old black and white kitty boy called Carson. My people named me Bruce, but since being returned to the shelter, I’ve been called by my original name, Carson. I was an affectionate, energetic kitten. In my home, I liked my alone time, but I enjoyed receiving affection and petting. I really bonded with the disabled adult son in the home. I may have understood him, I guess. See, I’m different from many kitties. I have pica. Some kitties get it (people too). It means that we eat things we shouldn’t. In my case, I chew on cloth – blankets, soft toys, and things like that. It can be very dangerous, as I found out the hard way. I get lots of TLC from staff and volunteers here at the shelter! I am always up for playing with them, or on my own. I love playing with water under the faucet! I can play with plastic balls and all sorts of toys that I can’t chew or swallow, and I can be comfortable in a space without blankets. I trust that you are loving, smart, creative, and capable of giving me the kind of care that a special boy like me needs. Give me a window where I can watch the birds and squirrels and soak up the sun. Let me soak up your love! I will be a happy Carson boy! Let’s share our special lives together!Adoption fee $50 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
“People where you live,` the little prince said, `grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don`t find what they`re looking for...And yet what they`re looking for could be found in a single rose...` And the little prince added, `But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, `The Little Prince`. My name is Razzmatazz. If you’ve seen my name before, it’s because I’ve been here a while. I came from a hoarding situation in April 2022. I’m one of the “Crayola Cats.” The color “Razzmatazz” is a crimson-rose. That’s too jazzy for a kitty like me, but a rose is a beautiful flower. I’m a 6-year-old black female, who, like the many other cats who lived in that home, is very shy around people, but I was adopted six months later. My person tried to make me feel at home, and I was making a bit of progress. I was playing some and accepting petting while I ate. But because I’m not outwardly affectionate or a snuggly lap cat, I was returned this January. I do enjoy the company of other cats. Staff have seen me playing with a kitten named Clover, and often adult cats don’t have that kind of patience! I love sitting in the window with other cats, and on occasion, I will let a human get close to me when I’m relaxing. I was called Cookie in my home, but no matter what you call me, I am a sweet girl who deserves to be in a loving home. Are you a patient person who can give me all the space and time I need to feel comfortable? I would do best with another cat, maybe my kitten friend Clover. Look with your heart. See ME. Razzmatazz. A single, unique rose. As it says in “The Little Prince,” “It`s the time you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important...People have forgotten this truth, but you mustn`t forget it. You become responsible forever for what you`ve tamed. You`re responsible for your rose.” Spend quiet time in the presence of Razzmatazz. Sense my gentle nature with your cat-whisperer’s heart.Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
You probably know of some famous guys named Kenneth - Kenny or Ken. Kenny Rogers, Kenny Loggins, Ken Burns. Kenneth Edmonds. Who? “Babyface.” R & B artist, 13-time Grammy winner…There you have it. I’m a cat, and I’m just as handsome as they are. But I’m not a performer. Folks, I’ve been here since 2023. I was found as a stray kitten in SE Rochester, and I was quite a scaredy cat. I’m still shy, but I’ve come a long way since then. I’m all grown up, and I enjoy hanging out in the windows with some of my cat friends. If you take me home, maybe with a cat buddy I can hang out with, I just might get over my “stage fright” and find my inner “purrformer.” I do like to play a bit, and Babyface has got nothing on me in the looks department. Check out my sleek black coat and striking green eyes. I don’t have a stage name. I’m Kenneth, and I want to be yours.Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax
