I'm Arrietty, a playful, social, and friendly young lady.  My FAVORITE thing ever is to PLAY! I love to chase glitter pom poms, ear plugs, erasers, bugs, and anything small all over the house.  If I found a family who could play with me and cuddle me a LOT, I could go to a home without another cat. But I like cats and really appreciate having feline friends to groom, cuddle, and chase.  I've even won over the old man cats in my foster home.   I'm named for Arrietty, the main character of the Borrower books who was always in search of a safe home, because when I was a street cat, I kept trying to sneak into houses.  Now that I've gotten indoors, I like to stay indoors! I do like to have a perch where I can look out a window, though.  It's too bad I can't speak people language, because I know everything that's happening in the neighborhood.  I like strangers and would make a great shop cat.  I have not met a dog yet, but am not easily spooked and probably would get used to a respectful dog quickly.   One of my favorite hobbies is hiding in my foster mom's room while she gets ready for bed, so I can sneak snuggle her.  My cardinal rule is that nobody naps alone.  Another hobby is hiding my favorite toys in blankets and furniture.  Every night we have Zoomie Hour.  (Sometimes its more like....Zoomie Four Hours). One other thing I like is food.  I am learning table manners but sometimes need to be reminded to leave my family's dinner alone. They have hidden the garbage cans so I can't help myself to midnight snacks anymore.  Treats have helped me learn that toenail trims and brushing can be fun. I'm still learning to keep my claws retracted when playing with the humans, but I'm getting better at it! When I came into rescue, I had a belly full of surprise babies!  I loved playing with my two kittens, but they got adopted and now I'm ready to find my very own forever home.  Being pregnant in a new house wasn't fun, and I showed my unhappiness a few times by peeing outside my litterbox. Things have gotten better since then and I am very consistent about the litterbox now. If you have a window, some treats, and time to play with me - please put in an application! Daphney is a pretty cat who is somewhat of a munchkin cat. She is very close to the ground. She likes people and likes to be picked and held. You can even stroll around with her in your arms. She loves the laser lights, too! She has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations. All of our cats are fostered in Tennessee but we transport to most states.

Cayenne is a pretty girl who likes to head butt her person. She is laid back and calm. She enjoys her toys but likes a good petting as well. Joan is a tabby with white socks and chin who just celebrated her first birthday (born October 2023). She has silky, short fur that she keeps very tidy. She is remarkably calm and well mannered. She plays well with other foster cats and two small dogs. Joan loves cuddles but is not demanding. You may be asking why no one has scooped this lovely and loving kitty up. Answer: she is extremely shy -- until she gets to know someone. When visitors come to look at cats, she is nowhere to be found. She is waiting for that special someone who can appreciate her manners and her capability to love them best in the whole world. She is waiting for someone with the patience to woo her.
