Story
Bean is about 10 or 11 years old. My friend found her as a stray and I agreed to take her in because they were in the middle of moving. I ended up keeping her. In the past five years I got married and had 2 kids. My husband and I both work full time long days and Bean doesn't get all the attention she needs. When we started having kids she was depressed. We put her on medicine and she is doing better but she needs a home where she can get more attention. She loves to snuggle. She isn't a fan of strangers and is slow to warm up so it will take awhile for her to feel comfy with you, but once she does she loves her people. She will chew on anything so her food needs to be monitored and she likes to chew on rubber, leather and plastic. She isnt declawed. She plays rough, like a kitten, so that is tough with small kids, but she does love the kids. Overall my house is crazy and Bean needs more love! Looking for a household that can give her that.

My name is Lulu and I will be 7 years old on May 16. I have been in a foster home for a year since both of my humans died w My name is Lulu and I will be 7 years old on May 16. I have been in a foster home for a year since both of my humans died within 10 months of each other (March 23 & January 24). My foster family loves me but I don’t love their cat or dog so I need a place all to myself. I am independent, but I do like attention and to sit on my foster mom‘s lap. I was pretty sassy when I first came here, but I’ve turned into a really sweet cat. I’m pretty loved & spoiled with my own room, cat TV and even a hammock in the window so I can look outside. I love pulling pillowcases out of the draw & I really love playing in my tunnel. My foster mom said that I can bring that with me to my new house. I may be nervous, but what has helped me is having the Comfort Zone plug-in diffuser and collar to help keep me calm. Let me know if you’d like to meet me.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $150 plus taxHi there, it’s little ol’ me, Miley! I’m a sweet and lovely girl that loves a calm environment. I love to find a comfy spot to curl up and take a nap, whether it’s a lap or a blanket, I’m there. I’m small and dainty with an adorable personality. You will love my little paws, my purrs and my beautiful coloring. Unfortunately I had to loose all my teeth to bad genetics, so I always have my tongue sticking out, I like to think it makes me a little unique. I prefer wet food as I can’t crunch the hard food. Im may seem like a lot but I’m just a simple girl looking for the perfect family. Miley has been diagnosed as having persistent herpesvirus which is potentially contagious to other kitties, it is part of the RCP vaccine so as long as your other pets are kept current on vaccines it is a low risk of spreading then.    Most infected cats will have occasional flare ups such as at times of stress but typically it is pretty self limiting and remains mostly asymptomatic.  We would not recommend that Miley go to home where there are immunocompromised cats or young kittens that are not fully vaccinated   Miley's signs so far have been some eye drainage and squinting that haven't seemed to bother her. There are supplements and anti-virals that can be tried in the future to see if that helps decrease the draining. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $150 plus taxCookie was an friendly outside cat in the Pipestone area for couple years and had a few sets of kittens.  A local rescuer recognized that she was tame and should be an indoor cat, and she came to MARS.  Cookie is a young. playful girl, with beautiful and unique markings on her face.   She is interested in playing with toys, nice with the other cats, and loves to get treats.  However, Cookie is still a skittish with people.  She has been in her foster home for 2 months and she is getting braver all the time, and when her foster has convinced her to accept petting she purrs and makes biscuts, but about half them time she runs away when they go to pet her.  Cookie is gentle, is never aggressive, and would be fine in a home with kids who can participate in her sociliazation. She will regress is she is chased or trapped and forced to recieve petting she does not want.  Cookie can live in a lot of different situations, what she needs most is patience and understanding.Cookie has been fully vetted, is fixed, has her rabies and distemper, dewormer and is  FELV/FIV negative  * Kittens under 4 months tend to do best in homes with another cat or kitten for socialization.  If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.
