Due to technical issues with some adoption sites, please email us directly at info@sheltertohome.com to inquire about adopting or to ask questions. Please include the animal's name in the email. What can I say I'm a beautiful sleek silky black Diva. I'm hoping to find a furever home with a kitten or cat buddy. I love all my foster friends. I even live among dogs. I'm looking for a special family. I am very shy. My foster mom keeps saying I've come a long way. I was a very frightened kitten when she took me in. It took me several months to warm up to her. I still don't like being picked up but I do like my scratches and lots of petting. I would need a room to hang out in until I got adjusted to my new digs. I love my treats and my laser toy. Hope to meet you soon!**All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**November 5, 2024, 10:11 am

Story
Due to technical issues with some adoption sites, please email us directly at info@sheltertohome.com to inquire about adopting or to ask questions. Please include the animal's name in the email. My name is John. I was born in October, 2021. I am a handsome gray dude. My foster mom's say I have come a long way. My sister and I take turns staying at each of our two-foster mom's homes. That is so we can get use to different surroundings. I used to be growly and hissy. I am still on the shy side. I would do best in a quiet home, a house without kids. I need someone who has patience in wanting me to interact. It might take a little time for me to feel comfortable and hang out with you. I get along with my foster kitties of all ages. I would love it if I could be adopted with my sister (Astrid). We understand each other. My sister (Astrid) and I have so much fun together. We love to bird watch and to catch flies. We like to play with everything, even with stuff we are not supposed to play with (lol). If you are in the kitchen or eating something while you are watching tv, we will meow at you. (That is telling you we want a bite to eat.) We are both easy to take care of.**All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. Story
Due to technical issues with some adoption sites, please email us directly at info@sheltertohome.com to inquire about adopting or to ask questions. Please include the animal's name in the email. Ivy approximate birthdate July 2017. Ok with cats and dogs... About me... People always talk about new year, new you right? Well I say how about adding on a new companion to that new you groove? The last few years have been stressful, so why not start your morning with a nice relaxing cup of coffee with me perched in your lap. I can make you feel even more relaxed while you give me a morning facial. I relax you, you relax me. You get a great start to your day, do your thing nd conquer your goals. Then at the end of the day we unwind on the couch, I can get another facial while we watch one of those romance movies or something like that. Well, okay you can really watch it, I'll just enjoy your attention. You see, I can't that well. And while I do have partial vision in my eyes, my specialist person said that my eyes will never be able to be fixed. Kinda sad huh? Makes me wanna tear up, which I do....a lot. My eyes tear a lot, and make my fur stained, so my eyes have to be wiped and cleaned on a regular basis. Hence my request for some facials. But I'm a grateful girl and am very good about you wiping my eyes, I really do appreciate it. And these tears don't stop me from wanting to play with you, be goofy, and bond with you! Nothing will stop me from being your new best friend and helping you feel like a new you as you help me feel like a new me! Sound like the kind of days you are looking for, give the rescue I'm staying at a ring and ask about me, Ivy! **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. Story
Julia was found huddled near Allen Road with her sister and scared to death. Her owner passed away, leaving no one to take care of the girls. Family put them outside when it was time to clear the house. Julia and her sister (Bunny) are plus sized cats and not very energetic. As middle aged cats, they prefer to spend their days lounging, soaking up the sun through the window and being gently brushed. If you want to know more about this cat, email us here: wacvolunteers@gmail.com! * AGE : estimated to be 5+ years old * TEMPERAMENT: Lap cat but happy being solitary * Why are they at the shelter? Owner passed away and family put them outside alone * Any Health issues? None known * How are they with other cats? Dogs? Might prefer life as a solo cat in a quiet home. * Volunteer Comments? "Julia has been waiting for her hero for too long" "Very talkative!" Thank you for your interest in adopting a shelter cat! NOW HOW DO I MEET OR ADOPT THIS CAT? !. Story
Due to technical issues with some adoption sites, please email us directly at info@sheltertohome.com to inquire about adopting or to ask questions. Please include the animal's name in the email. Mary Sanderson resides in her foster home. Please contact nknapp@sheltertohome.com for an application. Sweet and spicy! Mary can be very sweet and loving, and has the most delightful little coo in her purr. She will also scream at you if you displease her (ie., pet her belly without permission). She loves to snuggle in the bed at night. She is fascinated with the bath tub. She loves to "help" with household chores, such as making the bed and folding laundry. Mary came to us with what was suspected to be a broken front leg. That turned out to not be the case; we are not sure if she was injured in a different way or if this is congenital. The leg does not seem to bother her at all; in fact, it seems to be her dominant paw. It definitely does not slow her down in the slightest. Mary gets along with her fellow foster cats, but needs a lot of time to get used to anyone she doesn't already know. She seems to dislike male cats. Therefore, she may be best as the queen of her castle. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. Elisa is a 9-month-old kitty who currently resides at BAS 💜 She is nervous here and quite skittish right now 🥺 Due to her sensitive nature, Elisa requires patient and understanding adopters who can provide her with the time and space she needs to feel safe and secure 🤍Transitioning into a new environment can be overwhelming for any pet, but with the right care and love, Elisa has the potential to become an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion 💕 If you're someone who understands the importance of patience and compassion when it comes to helping a shy cat blossom, then Elisa might be the perfect match for you 😻 With gentle encouragement, plenty of quiet moments, and a lot of love, you can help Elisa come out of her shell and thrive in a nurturing environment 🏠
