Story
Raven. 2 years old (in human years). Spayed. Very shy and reserved at first. Will run away from you. Will not leave you alone once she gets comfortable. So nosy and always in your business. Loves belly rubs and cuddles. Will greet you when you come home by waddling on her back and screaming at you. You know when cats blink to say they love you? She just stares. Weirdly obsessed with feet. A whole fool and a half. Confuses you with furniture and will sit on you. Best laundry attendant and cleaning associate. Will assist by supervising and sometimes getting in the way. 10/10 employee. Just needs a new home where she can be given the proper love and care she deserves. Previous owner (or owned by) allergic.

Story
Squid was found as a stray. She is lovely and playful. Loud purrs and a soft raspy meow she's a literal sweetheart. Found out she was pregnant and once the kittens came she became aggressive with one my neutered male cats but had no issue with the other. Now it is flipped and my male will go after her daily on a wim. She is miserable and she needs a new home ASAP. She's the most beautiful cat I've ever seen and I hate having to let her go. She is in a turf war with my child's favorite cat so I lose automatically. You will love this cuddle bug and her monkey tailed zooming.

Story
Chip Skylark is a part of our Hardworking Cats program. This program is generally for cats that would not be suited for traditional adoption, but that would thrive as barn cats, warehouse mousers, or indoor/outdoor companions. Hardworking cats often enjoy a level freedom and independence that other cats may not require but can bring the benefit of chemical free pest control and successfully deter other unwanted animal guests from your property.Chip Skylark is a very social and outgoing boy! He is extremely energetic and very playful; he loves to hunt and will pounce on anything that he believes could be food or prey (which is sometimes your feet). He is not tolerant of being picked up, over handled, or restrained for medical procedures. He is also over stimulated and can be a rough player. When Chip Skylark is not trying to hunt or explore, he is a smart boy who will do just about anything for a treat.Because of this, we believe Chip Skylark would do best as an indoor/outdoor cat with most of his time being spent indoors. He likely would do well being able to explore outside and releasing some of his energy and using his natural instincts to hunt. He needs to go home with no children but would do well with another energetic, outgoing, and playful cat! They would likely keep each other occupied and help get rid of some of that crazy energy!

Story
Mayhem is a part of our Hardworking Cats program. This program is generally for cats that would not be suited for traditional adoption, but that would thrive as barn cats, warehouse mousers, or indoor/outdoor companions. Hardworking cats often enjoy a level freedom and independence that other cats may not require but can bring the benefit of chemical free pest control and successfully deter other unwanted animal guests from your property.Mayhem came to Michigan Humane from an abandoned home. We don't have any history on him, but he appears to be a timid, fearful, and unsocial cat. Mayhem is not an outgoing guy, rather he is an independent fella that keeps to himself. He likes to hide and keep from sight but will come out at nighttime to feed, explore, and socialize with other cats. Mayhem unfortunately is not suitable as a traditional companion cat, and he doesn't have an outdoor community to return to. So he is now looking for a new farm or barn to call his new home.Due to his lack of socialization and timid nature, we believe that Mayhem would be best suited as a warehouse cat, or potentially a barn cat. If Mayhem is going to live in a barn, it is important that he be slowly introduced to the environment and contained for 1-2 weeks while adjusting as he may flee from his new home if allowed to roam free too quickly. It is also important that even though he will be an outdoor barn cat, his adopter will still need to provide food, water, and necessary vet care. Mayhem is a calm, laid back guy that generally minds his own business and keeps to himself, but does come around when he knows it's time to eat!

She is a super lovable cat. We have two other cats that now pick on her and she's miserable. She is also over weight but only hides because of the other cats. She is an angel and breaks my heart to rehome her however, it's what is best for her. No other cats in home would be best. Her best friend here is our big golden retriever. Please give her a life of happiness she deserves.

Story
Greetings, wonderful humans! I'm Bridgette, and I gracefully entered this world in the winter of 2017. I've spent my early years raising a beautiful family of five furry bundles, and now, it's my time to be somebody's cherished fur kid. My foster Mama tells me how proud she is when I rub against her feet, politely asking for a bit of affection. I've got the charm to melt hearts! Good news—I'm an expert at harmonizing with both cats and dogs. While I may be a tad timid initially, I'm hoping my new family will be patient, allowing me the time I need to blossom into the confident and loving feline I know I can be. All my medical needs are taken care of—I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for both FELV and FIV. I'm ready to embark on a new chapter of love and companionship! Ready to make your home complete with a touch of elegance? Visit providingforpaws.org to submit an adoption application for me, Bridgette. Let's create a lifetime of purrs and snuggles together!

Story
Meet Kyla, a young and elegant tabby with an air of mystery. While we don't have her exact date of birth, we know she's a true beauty inside and out. Kyla's story began back in February 2020 when she made her way to the home of one of our volunteers. She's an independent lady who appreciates her space and enjoys the company of small, respectful dogs. When it comes to other cats, Kyla gets along just fine as long as they show her the same respect. For Kyla, a quiet and serene home is where she'll truly shine. While she adores the companionship of her fellow felines, a household with no small children would be the ideal fit for her. Rest assured, Kyla's vetting is complete, and she has tested negative for FIV/FELV, ensuring she's ready for her forever home. If Kyla sounds like the perfect addition to your household, don't hesitate to take the next step. Fill out an application at providingforpaws.org and open your heart to this graceful tabby.

Story
Jack and Ollie are brothers who are 6 months and are a package deal. They are a dark brown and they have golden mix eyes l. Shots need to be updated since they were tiny when they had them. They’re great kittens They are great with other cats and dogs, They honestly just do their own thing. They haven’t been around kids but I think they will do well either way. They love to play but will also sleep with you and cuddle on the couch. Adoption fee is 40 for each. I want them to go with somebody that is fully willing to give them a forever home and take care of them properly. They are on American journey grain free Please let me know if you have any questions. It is hard taking pictures of them so I can get some better ones and just let me know. :)

Story
We adopted Jiji from the Humane Society last year, he was originally found as a stray in Detroit with a broken pelvis. But now he's a very playful, social, and funny boy. He loves to explore and go for walks in his stroller (he also likes to nap in it). He loves to play, never a dull moment with this goofball! He does have his sweet moments and will cuddle your legs at bed time. He's very curious and loves to open doors and cabinets. He gets along pretty well with our senior cat, just wants to play too much so they butt heads sometimes. He has some anxiety/ocd that causes him to over groom, we have him wear shirts to help prevent this. He is good with getting groomed, nails clipped and capped, and putting his shirts on. We love Jiji so much and have done everything in our power to care for him, but it seems he is a too high energy for our little apartment. We think he would have a blast with a younger kitty companion or being an only cat and a larger indoor space to explore!
