Story
Meet our beautiful house panther, Tasha! She is 11 months old and was found outside as a stray. Whatever she went through before finding comfort and safety within our rescue is unknown, but it definitely has made an impact on her. She's timid in new situations, and likes to feel secure and safe before opening up to new humans. Despite that, she does like to play with her kitty toys and her personality shines through once she knows she is in good hands! She loves soft and gentle pets but is not a fan of being held because it makes her feel unsafe. Tasha loves sitting on top of her perch on the cat tree and looking out at the world and watching the birds. She has a very beautiful soul and just needs some patience and time, as well as a very special cat lover as her forever owner. Could that be you? If you're interested in meeting our sweet Tasha, apply for pre-approval at michelesrescue.com! ##1914786##

Story
Sophie has lived in a single home for most of her 13 years, but recently she has been through major upheaval, and she's not always happy about it. She can be quite a grump tbh, but she has her cute, playful moments (she enjoys batting at a string and popping catnip bubbles!) It takes a while to earn her trust but it's a rewarding process. She likes chin scratches and she'll be your best friend when you have food, but she highly values her independence. In her foster home, Sophie spends most of her days napping or looking out the window from the top of the cat tree. If you appreciate a sassy cat, Sophie is your girl. She will live her best life in a calm home where she can be the only pet.

Story
I am a nervous little lady as I have only known one person in my life and she is now in heaven. I am a plump little girl that just wants a place to call home once again. I am unsure about everything at this point, but I know if I had another home of my own, I could start to enjoy life again without my mama next to me. Can you give me a chance to enjoy the rest of my life?  ##2252740##

Story
Tuck was originally adopted out in 2020 but was returned due to no fault of her own! She is friendly but confused as to why she is at the shelter again and no longer in her home. She would love to be in a home again where she can be petted and sleep on couches! Here was her original bio from 2020: This sweetie is Tuck! Tuck really does love people, it just takes her some time to get used to them. Very shy at first, but once she trusts you, she will take all of your snuggles! She gets along well with other cats. Take the time to get to know Tuck, you will be glad you did! --- All of our cats/kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites. --- Adoption center is located at 7962 CLYDE PARK SW, BYRON CENTER MI 49315. Story
Andy’s owner developed dementia and was brought to California to live in a facility while Andy was left behind. Andy has been in foster for almost two years. He has been adopted out three times and each time he has been returned. He’s at least 12 years old. Due to his dental and kidney health the vet thinks he could be older. We don’t know for sure how old he is. He had a lot of dental work done. A wet food diet is required for kidney health. He has problems using the litter box. He wears a diaper for spraying issues. Andy should have an experienced adopter. He is front paw declawed. Someone who is retired or works from home would be best. He gets along with some cats. He gets along with low energy dogs. Andy was an only pet in his old home. It is not a requirement for his new home, but he would prefer it. If you think you can give Andy the care that he needs, please reach out. He will repay you with all the love he has. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is worth the work.

Story
Frank is anxious at first, but once he’s comfortable he’s a very loving guy. He’s sweet and talkative, especially when food’s involved. He loves chicken, tuna and to swipe at milk or cheese on top of pizza left unattended. He does great with our female kitty but not with our other male. He doesn’t mind our dogs but it is evident that large dogs also stress him out. Because of his fighting with our male cat we know he will ideally be best as an only child in a quiet home, however he is fine with another female cat. Please feel free to message me directly with any questions.
