Story
Hi! Meet Salt! Salt is an adorable little tuxedo boy who is dressed to impress! This guy may still be a young but he’s a calm and mellow cat. Don’t get me wrong, he does like to play, but he’s also happy just snuggling and cuddling. He can be just a tad shy at first, but comes out of his shell quickly. He enjoys the company of his sister (Snowflake) and other cats but is content being an only kitty as well. He has very good litter manners and is really great about not destroying the house like most kittens (except when it comes to toilet paper rolls because that temptation is just too much). Please be aware that Salt, like all the Furever Home cats, is FeLV positive. Therefore, he can not live in a household with FeLV negative cats. If you’d like more information about Salt or FeLV, please contact us by calling 301.703.1674 or email FureverHomeMD@gmail.comOctober 25, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Like all Furever Home cats, Jack is FeLV positive. If you need more information about FeLV, feel free to reach out to us. Meet Jack! This amazing mini-panther is such a sweetheart, and the perfect age. He’s young enough to still love his toys, but old enough so he won’t pull your curtains down and destroy your world. He’s a sweet & cuddly guy who adapts well. He’s very vocal and will have full out conversations with you. He’ll also remind you when you’re late with dinner. He has perfect cat etiquette and uses his litter box. His favorite hobbies include bathing in sunbeams, laying across your shoulders while binging on the Nature Channel, snuggling you in bed and head butting. He may be slightly shy at first, but he warms up quickly. If you have questions about Jack, please email FureverHomeMD@gmail.com or message us on FB through https://www.facebook.com/FureverHomeMDOctober 25, 2024, 12:13 am

Ziggy is the most adorable petite little purrbox! She is a very young adult who loves to snuggle and play. She’s outgoing and curious and adapts well to new situations. She has impeccable kitty litter habits. She’d do well with (respectful) children and laid back dogs. She loves sunshine beams, playing with toys and napping with her humans. She’s an all around purrfect little girl! Like all cats at Furever Home, Ziggy is FeLV positive. She must be either an only cat or in a home with another FeLV positive cat. Story
Akbar is a sweet 7-year-old boy whom I've owned for the last 4 years. He is snuggly, very vocal, loves to play or just lay the day away in your lap or on top of you however he can manage. Unfortunately, as he and my other male cat age, they are getting along less and less, and Akbar has developed a medical issue that despite diagnostics I have been unable to get to the bottom of and am unable to mitigate the symptoms nor afford more diagnostics. He drinks, eats and urinates excessively (but doesn't have accidents outside the litterbox) and is extremely food obsessed to the point of mild destruction, but was also food obsessed prior to this medical issue developing. He is crafty and a high-jumper, and incredibly stubborn, so definitely needs an adopter who is experienced with cats who will do just about anything for a morsel of food. He doesn't mind dogs (usually runs away or ignores them), would do best if other cats were female, and has never bitten, scratched, or swatted a human.

Story
Little Leon was born in the shelter on March 16, 2021. He has a super-sweet disposition and loves to snuggle for long periods. He has a neurological condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, often referred to as CH. This causes him to wobble and stumble as he walks. His condition will not get worse. Leon is a really happy kitten and doesn’t let that slow him down. He gets right in the mix of playing with his littermates. He loves to climb into the seat of a nearby doll stroller and watch all of the action as well. Leon is being fostered in Hampstead, MD (Carroll Co). To apply to adopt Leon complete our adoption application online at www.finallyhomeanimalrescue.com. Contact Debbie at dfiackos@finallyhomeanimalrescue.com with any questions.

Adoption Fee Sponsored by a Generous Supporter Introducing Penelope. Our vet estimates her to be 3 years old. She has an entire lifetime ahead of her and we want it to be great. Penelope is part of the "black & white" group that we rescued. After their owner passed away, the cats were left outside on their own for about 2 months. Penelope has been spending time at a foster home where she is quite comfortable. As the photos show, she loves cat trees. Hint to her adopter that she would love a cat tree at her forever home. She will do best in a quiet home, so no young children please. She gets along with other cats and a small dog at her foster home. Penelope's foster home is located in Hampstead MD (Carroll Co). Adoption Fee: Sponsored by a Generous Supporter - Approved Adopter pays -0- at time of adoption To apply to adopt complete our adoption application online at www.finallyhomeanimalrescue.com. Story
Sabrina is a 2 year old petite girl with super sleek fur. She is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. She loves to be petted and scratched under the neck. She has lots of love to give. When she gets excited her tail even does this funny little twitch that will make you laugh. I think she is trying to pick up radio stations. She would do ok by herself but think she would do best having a companion cat, around her age or younger that is not dominant. Sabrina likes to play with toys, the wand type and catnip furry mice. This funny girl is addicted to Temptation cat treats and will come screaming when she hears the bag rattle. When she is not napping she is constantly on the go but loves to be on the sofa or next you when its time to relax. If you're looking for a lovable girl Sabrina could be for you. Sabrina's foster home is located in Silver Run/ Westminster (Carroll County). Adoption Fee: $75 To meet/adopt Sabrina, please fill out our online adoption application at www.finallyhomeanimalrescue.com Contact Jamie Brown at jbrown@finallyhomeanimalrescue.com with any questions. Prior to adoption all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, receive age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested and treated for parasites.

Story
Who says you don’t get second chances in life? That’s certainly not true for this sweet older lady. We don’t know much about her back story, but what we do know is that somehow she found herself alone on the streets of Baltimore. She was taken to Baltimore Animal Control, where everyone there immediately fell in love with her. As stressful as it must have been to lose her home, be kicked out on the street and then wind up at a busy shelter, her wonderful disposition just shined right through. She absolutely adores people and was a well loved pet at one point. She can’t get enough of being petted and receiving belly rubs. She is an easy going ol’ gal and gets along fine with other cats and animals. She’s extremely adaptable. She has perfect litter box skills and manners. She’s not one to climb up curtains or scratch on furniture. Her favorite thing in the world is just to snooze next to her person. She does have a playful side, but in general she’s a very calm girl. Just an all around sweetheart. She will make a new family very happy. Like all Furever Home cats, Uni is FeLV positive. If you’d like more information about FeLV or Uni, please contact FureverHomeMD@gmail.comOctober 25, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Sweet little Daisy has every reason to distrust people, but like most animals, they are willing to give us a second, and sometimes a fifth, chance. Daisy was abandoned on the streets with her brother when her family moved out and left them behind. A few months later, her brother was attacked and killed by a dog. Luckily for her, a caring neighbor began looking out for her and leaving food. As time passed, it became apparent that little Daisy was just not doing well as an outside cat. Her fur lost it’s shine and Daisy began to get sick. Again the nice neighbors took her in, but unfortunately for her, by then she had contracted FeLV so the neighbors couldn’t keep her. Because there are not nearly enough FeLV rescues, many have a long waitlist. The neighbors were concerned Daisy wouldn’t survive outside in the hot summer so they expanded their search until they found us. The problem was that we were a 16 hour drive away! But the nice neighbors were willing to make that sacrifice for Daisy. And we very quickly understood why. Daisy is so worth it!!!! She is the most lovable little girl! She loves to snuggle with her people whenever she can, but she’s not overly Velcro either. She loves to play with her toys as well, but she’s also ok on her own through the day. She has the most adorable little chirp and will actually have an entire conversation with you, although we admit, sometimes it’s hard to understand what she’s saying. She also has impeccable litter habits and will actually wipe her little paws off before walking away from the litter box. In summary, Daisy is perfect! Like all our cats, Daisy is FeLV positive. If you’d like more information on what that means, feel free to call us at 301.703.1674 or email FureverHomeMD@gmail.com.October 25, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Meet Square! Square is a large boy, but not obese. He needs the bigger frame to carry around all the love. And he has the most smoochable little pink nose! He’s a confident, curious boy who likes to snuggle but isn’t overwhelming about it. He’s a gentle giant. He’s obviously had a tough life because he does shrink away if you come at his face too quickly, but once he trusts you, he loves to be stroked and petted. At four years old, he’s that perfect age when he still has a playful side, but he also enjoys a good nap. He has perfect kitty litter etiquette and doesn’t scratch up furniture. He does well alone or with other cats. He’s perfect for a new cat owner since he’s just so easy to have around. He’s extremely adaptable and will do well in most households as long as there is at least one window that allows a sunbeam to come through. Like all Furever Home cats, Square is FeLV positive. Therefor he can not live in a house hold with a FeLV negative cat. If you’re not familiar with FeLV, feel free to reach out to us for more info.
