Domestic Shorthair kittens & cats in Jennings, Louisiana

Marmalade showed up as a stray; she is friendly with people and enjoys being stroked. I brought her to Spay Nation for a spay procedure, and her left ear has been tipped slightly to identify her as being spayed in case she lives outside in the future. Marmalade enjoys sleeping in bed with people at night; I believe it makes her feel secure. She is between 4=5 months old, weighs four pounds, has been dewormed, and has had FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, My husband and I have a houseful of pets already, and we would love to see her in a permanent, loving home where she will be treated gently. Marmalade is very curious about our guinea pigs, and tries to get into their pen, so we would not recommend her to a home where there are other small pets or birds. She does well with our gentle dog, and plays happily with our indoor cats. We request that she not be de-clawed. Please feel free to contact me with questions. Meredith used to be a member of a feral cat colony in Broussard. They have a caretaker that sees to their needs, and they all usually do fairly well there. However, we decided to take in Meredith because she was quite sick and needed to be on medication for multiple weeks. During that time, she's been in a foster home and has adjusted to the house-cat life quite well. She's now completely healthy and ready to find a forever home! Meredith is very much a diva and likes things her way. She's more like a roommate than a pet, to be honest. She can be very vocal when she wants something, usually either food or to go in/out of a specific room. She's not really a cuddley cat, but she does enjoy people's company. You'll often find her napping on the couch next to her foster parents while they're watching TV. The best way to win over Meredith's heart is through food - any kind of treats will do. You can also always count on her to join you in the kitchen when you're cooking food or sitting down for a meal. Meredith absolutely adores other cats and loves to play with the other foster kittens. Because of this, we'd love to see her go to a home that already has one or more friendly cats, but she'd probably be fine as an only child too. She's currently living with three large dogs and gets along with them quite well as long as they respect her personal space. Zion and his brother, Dion, are the most affectionate little guys! They will hop up on your lap to snuggle and purr. Like most kittens, they also love to climb, chase, and wrestle with each other. They are both pretty easy-going and quickly adapted to being around large cats and dogs. They're great with children too! What makes these boys extra special is their *extra* toes. These boys are polydactyl, which makes it look like they're wearing mittens year-round! Along with her sister, Peekaboo, Squeakers was born to a feral cat when they came into our care. She squeaks rather than meows unless she thinks she’s starving then she can belt out real meows. As an orange tabby, she has a repertoire of endearingly goofy facial expressions. The bold one, she’s very interested in the gentle giant resident male who loves the foster babies. Also rambunctious with play, she tends to want to curl up with Peekaboo to sleep. Squeakers loves pets and smooches unless she is in active play mode. She has had no interaction with dogs or children, but with proper introduction that should not be an issue. Along with her sister, Squeakers, Peekaboo was born to a feral cat when they came into our care. She tended to be the cautious one, hiding behind mom and peeking out – thus her name. This beautiful torti with white is full of spunk and can get pretty rambunctious with her play. Once she winds down she wants to curl on your lap for a little break of pets and smooches but will always seek out her little bed for a snooze. She is still a little shy with strangers and has not met a dog or a child but is very curious about the resident cats. That won’t be an issue with proper introduction to any resident pets.
