Pearl has been with her current family since she was a kitten. Due to unforeseen circumstances we need to rehome her. She would love a family who does not have dogs. She loves her tummy and face rubbed. She does not have her front claws. She does get along with other cats as well. She has always been an indoor cat.

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Gilligan loves other cats; he must have a feline companion to feel safe. He’s a scaredy cat, too. He came from a terrible hoarding situation with poor conditions, little food, and almost 100 cats, mostly in cages. It made him fearful, but when he’s comfortable he is so loving with a big purr. Gilligan needs an understanding, patient owner. Food is the key to his heart. He loves to play, so playtime with you and/or his cat friend(s) makes him happy. In his foster home, he is out and about all day but he’s shy about being touched and will often run, unless it’s wet food time or bedtime. He sleeps on the bed with his foster mom and other cats and loves a morning session of petting. When picked up, he likes to be held close, otherwise he will get scared and jump.  His foster mom loves him and hopes there is a person or family that will love him as much, despite his quirks. He won’t show his charms at first. Gilligan will need to acclimate to his new home and people, but he’s worth it. He hasn’t been around kids and older ones are preferred as he is skittish with sudden movements and loud noises. He would probably adapt to an easy going dog, and he likes other animals. Gilligan was born approximately November 1, 2021, and his adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweetheart at our adoption center this weekend!  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  December 16, 2024, 12:50 pm

Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Robbie and Star are foster friends who have bonded with each other and want to stay together furever. Star is a beautiful tortie girl who likes to be petted and to sit on her cat tree looking out the window. Robbie is a gorgeous orange and white tabby boy who loves his Star. They are both shy kitties and will need a quiet, patient, cat-saavy home where they are able to relax and get to know their humans. Star and Robbie haven't been around kids, but older ones who could play with them and be patient should be fine. Star is not a fan of being picked up or a fan of her carrier so they will need to be appointment-only kitties. Let us know when you would like to meet these two sweethearts.  Star was born approximately March 27, 2019, and Robbie was born approximately September 3, 2022. Their combined adoption fee $167.50, which includes $20 each for microchips. They are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Tabitha is a sweet, lovable, shy tabby girl with soft, bunny-like fur. She was taken to a shelter after a good Samaritan found her outside with difficulty walking with her back legs. It is unknown whether she was injured at birth or from being outside, but In any case, she gets around well enough to jump on a couch (her favorite place to be) and a low scratching post. She has no problems using a cat box. She is just a little wobbly with her back legs and sometimes they will slip out from under her if she moves too quickly. She is fairly shy at first but will warm up once she settles into a routine (allow up to a month). She adores petting and head scratches. She is not aggressive and should be fine by herself or with other gentle cats who will not chase her or fight with her. The best home for her is one that is quiet with an older, experienced cat owner, without children or dogs. Tabitha is available by appointment only at the adoption center or at her foster’s home.  Tabitha was born approximately November 10, 2022, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Kathryn (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Cleo needs a hero! She is a beautiful, playful 7-year-old dilute tortoise-shell kitty who loves to be around people. As a kitten, she was adopted from Kitty City and lived with her person for 6 years, at which time her adopter became ill and died. Neighbors took her in but a month later relinquished her to a shelter, who scanned her chip and learned she was originally a Kitty City cat. So, we took her back and want to find her forever person/people! People who have expressed interest in her have been hesitant to adopt her because she is afraid of new people, and she expressed that fear through hissing, growling, and even sometimes swiping at feet/ankles. This behavior subsides when she learns she can trust. She also does not appear to be a lap cat, nor does she like being picked up or held. She does, however, enjoy being nearby and will likely settle in near her person as a fantastic companion. She has been introduced to the foster’s dog and cats, and while she sometimes hisses, she has not been aggressive. This leads us to believe that she would adapt to a home with other cat-friendly pets if she is given a slow and patient introduction to them. Cleo has been in her current foster home since January 2023, and she is so ready to find her permanent home! Cleo needs a quiet home with someone who is patient and will give her a few weeks to adjust. She is a tortie and can be a little feisty at times, but who isn't?! Will you be Cleo's hero? She is available for appointments only at the foster’s home, so we encourage you to meet her if you are interested in providing the right environment for her! Be ready for a super rewarding experience!! Cleo was born approximately June 23, 2017, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt 2, and the 2nd is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is microchipped.
Jayden is a sweet kitty who lost her owner and is now ready for a new forever home. She has the cutest little bobtail, just like a bunny! When she’s excited, it wiggles energetically back-and-forth. She warms up quickly to new people and although she loves to get her pets, she can be loving and friendly one moment and then decide to growl and swat at you the next. Because of this, she needs a quiet, child-free home where she will be the only pet. Jayden needs a special owner who will understand that everything needs to be on her terms. Given time and with a stress-free, stable environment, she may decide she doesn't need to be aggressive. It’s hard for a kitty to adjust after losing her longtime owner. Regardless, she will be a great companion, follow you around, and be glad to see you. Can you be that special person for her? Jayden was born approximately November 11, 2018, and her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Hello there! My name is Classic, and I’m a 13-pound, bashful-but-loving young boy ready to find my forever person. For most of my life, I only dreamed of human love—but as a community cat, I never got to experience it. That all changed when I met my foster mom, and now I know just how amazing love and snuggles can be! I may be a little shy at first, but once I get comfortable, my confidence soars, and I can’t wait to show you just how much I adore you. My foster mom says I have the cutest, squishiest face and some of the best biscuit-making skills around. At bedtime, you’ll always find me right there, snuggled up and ready for a cozy night in. Life as a community cat wasn’t always easy. Other male cats chased and fought me, which led to my FIV+ status—but don’t let that scare you! I’ve been incredibly healthy in my foster home, and with the right care, I can live a long, happy life. I know I’m not perfect, and I know I’m not for everyone. But if you have a soft spot for underdogs (funny, since I’m a cat!), a little patience, and love to binge-watch TV in bed, then we might just be meant for each other. Could you be the forever human I’ve been waiting for? For more information on Classic, please apply to adopt here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS-A-695

Story
Babs has come a long way from her rough start in life, blossoming into the ultimate lap cat companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving feline friend, Babs is ready to be your shadow—and your snuggle buddy! From the moment you sit down, Babs will claim your lap as her own, staying close until you absolutely must get up. She adores catnip treats and is highly food-motivated, which makes bonding with her (and maybe even teaching her a trick or two) a breeze. She will sit for treats! Watching her go wild on a scratching post is pure joy—she’s an athlete at heart with a playful spirit. Babs enjoys the company of other cats, as long as they’re friendly toward her. Even if they’re not, she’ll still try her best to make friends, showing off her sweet and social nature. Her trust is easily won with a simple, heartfelt “You’re a good girl.” Once she hears those words, she’ll approach for pets and melt into your affection. In the right home, Babs will be your most devoted and loving companion, ready to fill your days with purrs and love. If you’ve got the patience to nurture her gentle heart and a lap to share, Babs is ready to be your new best friend! If you'd like to schedule a meet up or talk to my foster mother, Amanda, about me, fill out the application below!
