Story
Soot came in as a tiny feral kitten. She is finally realizing that people petting her feels GOOOOOD!!! She's still very skittish at times, though, especially when she's on the floor, so would be best in a quiet, patient home without loud or very active children or dogs.Soot has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms. She is negative for FeLV but positive for FIV. This should not hurt her as long as she is well cared for, and she should live a long life. Her adoption fee is $75.If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Story
Kamden is a 7 year old male cat that has been at our shelter since September of 2016. Living in a room at the shelter is the only life he knows. We do not like it either but it is difficult to adopt out a cat that is not too fond of humans. It would be great to get him out into a home that can just let him lurk about. He will not seek you out for attention nor will he allow you to pick him up, atleast not to start out with. When cats like this are adopted into a home we see amazing things happen and they can change and become the best companions with love and patience. For now he is content with just hanging out with his best frient Tazz. We are requesting that Kamden go to a home that can also adopt Tazz.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.

Story
Shad was a kitty that came to our shelter as a trap and release cat, however, he was not wanted back where he came from so he has been a shelter kitty ever since. He is a cool dude and has learned to be somewhat affectionate at the shelter. He is a long term cat and would love nothing better than a family to cuddle with. He would quickly become a lap cat if given the opportunity. He has lived in a free roam room with other cats so he would be no problem with other kitties. He is a little over three years and such a cool cat. Fill out an application to come meet him. He has made friends with Cindy Clawford so if you have space for two turn key kitties then these two would make a great pair.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.

Story
Leah is a purebred, typically LOUD Bengal! She's a friendly girl. She has unfortunately been through a few homes and needs her forever home this time! She was rehomed once due to her owners moving to a smaller place and not being able to take her. At her last home, prior to their move she was fine (ok with their other cats but not overly friendly), but once they moved to a larger home she did have some litter box issues. We've checked her for a UTI, and she's using the box here (but she does not have much choice as she's currently caged). She IS front declawed, which may or may not have something to do with it. We assume it was stress due to the move, a dog and other things, but we can't be sure. She may be fine in another home, but it is something to be aware of and willing to work through if it happens. Her adoption fee is $300.If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application.
