Introducing Petunia........This beautiful black kitty has an approximate DOB of 7/23/23. Petunia has been spayed & is up to date on her vaccinations. She is a bit shy & timid right now, but our volunteers are trying to make her feel more comfortable. The shelter can be a scary place for newcomers until they realize they will be getting food, safety, a warm bed & toys. I'm sure she'll settle in soon 🩷😻

Story
We regularly have cats that are looking for Barn/Shop Cat placement!! Please check with us for availability!   These kitties ARE NOT housecats, they have spent their lives outside and were thriving. They want out of here ASAP, as they get stressed out being stuck completely inside in cages.  This program provides rodent control for your barn, outbuildings, warehouses or business by outfitting your place with a Working Cat! Their needs are simple - shelter, daily food & water. Your property is cleared of rodents and you're saving the life of a hard-working cat. It’s a win-win for everyone!     SPAYED/NEUTERED, VACCINATED and EAR TIPPED!!   We don’t have a set adoption fee for our Barn Cats, but a small monetary donation is appreciated, to help us continue this program!    Please send us a message on Facebook Messenger ~ Fulton County Animal Center, Indiana or give us a call at 574-223-7387 (during business hours, after 10:30 am please!) or email us fcac.staff@gmail.com or janet@fultoncoanimalcenter.org - if you are interested!! CLOSED Sunday/Monday, 11-5 Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, 11-6 Wednesday, 11-4 Saturday   A paper barn cat application will need to be filled out at Fulton County Animal Center at pickup. ALL kitties in this program must leave in a secure cat carrier or crate.    ♦ See photos for Relocation/Acclimation Information! THIS ENSURES THEY STAY ON YOUR PROPERTY! ##1938839##

Story
What’s better than ONE ‍ black cat?!?!  TWO ‍ ‍ black cats!!  Meet Rocky and Sissy! ‍♥‍ The brother-sister duo just celebrated their 9th birthday together here at the shelter.   Their birthday wish is to find their new forever homes!!  Rocky & Sissy were both described as affectionate and playful by their previous family. When you visit them in their room here with us, those qualities are quickly noticed as they both come right over to greet you!  They both like human attention and they are good company! They also enjoy hanging out with you on the bench in the room and you might even have one of them sitting in your lap!  Rocky and Sissy are very large kitties (16 & 18 pounds) and will need to be kept on lower calorie food to help them shed some weight. They will need help with keeping their fur combed/brushed, as they are both too large to properly keep their backs groomed on their own. They do enjoy being brushed and love the attention!  They have met dogs before, but never lived with any. We’ve noticed here by their window view of our adoption lobby, Rocky is cautious of them, Sissy isn’t very thrilled at their presence!  Rocky & Sissy came to us after their family could no longer take care of them. At the families request - we have tried to place them together as a pair, but they have had no interest. We can tell that they do enjoy each other’s company here, but we are not seeing signs of them being a bonded pair. They can be adopted together or separately. They arrived in our care 9/13/24.  They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines and on monthly preventatives. Their adoption fees have been paid for by their previous family!  This first step is to submit an adoption application: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/apply-to-adopt-a-cat Closed Sunday/Thursday 11-4 Saturday/Monday11-5 Tuesday/Friday11-6 Wednesday ##2185862##
