Story
Hello new and old friends, I'm Jet! I am currently the longest resident at MHS, which really doesn't make sense because if you ask ANYONE here, they will tell you what a doll I am. I mean, just look at my sweet face! I can always tell when my foster mom needs to get work done or needs an extra snuggle to help get through the day. She likes to call me her emotional support cat, whatever that is but, basically, I have awesome intuition and I make many people smile and feel loved. Like many other cats, I'm a big fan of catnip and chasing feathery toys, but my all-time favorite activity is soaking up the rays My foster mom saw how much I enjoyed the open windows so she went ahead and got a kitty stroller AND a leash and harness so I can safely enjoy the great outdoors when the weather is nice. I've done well hanging out with my dog foster-sibling, who is super respectful of my kitty needs-- aka recognizing that I'm in charge I'm about six and a half years old and would really love to have a family and a home I can call my own. I promise to greet all your guests with cute chirp-like meows and I will help you get through your toughest days. I'm a total sweetheart and would love to meet you; all you have to do is call the shelter at 219-872-4499. Maybe you're the one I've been waiting for. I also have a sponsored adoption fee to an approved applicant!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi MHS friends, my name is Libby. My human friends here tell me that I am the prettiest dilute calico in the whole wide world! They also tell me that I have every single characteristic that would make me someone's very best friend. And one more thing that they tell me is that my adoption fee is sponsored to an approved applicant! Okay, now onto some more fun things... I love Churu snackies. I am the daintiest girl and I am very polite when you are giving me treats. I love naptime on my cozy kitty bed. If I get to curl inside my hut, I feel so safe and have the best nap ever. But when you come to visit me, I like to come to say hello to you! I'll chirp a little bit in hopes that you understand I am asking for affection and back rubs. My ideal home would be a quiet one. If you are an equally quiet person, we would be perfect for each other. We could enjoy the calmness and be the object of each other's affection. At the shelter, I am kind of reserved when there are lots of people around. When the room empties, I love to hop out of my kennel and explore! I really enjoy being out and about with just one or two people around. I love catnip. I also love soft, fluffy kitty beds. When you come to spend time with me, I would like to get to know you, then once we are friends, I will ask for chin scratches and your company. Please come to meet me. I would come to meet you, but that just isn't how it works here! I am about nine and a half years old and I'm spayed. Love, Libby.

Story
If you need an affectionate, lovable cuddlebug, come meet Fauna She is SUCH a good girl and seeing her, hanging out with her, being near her, is the highlight of our day. She is totally gorgeous but her personality outshines her natural beauty! She chirps to greet you when you walk in to see her. If you have time to sit with her, she'll climb on up and curl up for the closest snuggles on your chest. Fauna will soak up and solicit every ounce of attention and affection that she can...clearly! Her only request: to be the only furbaby in your home. That is it! She's done great with respectful kiddos and is just waiting for her very own family. She is about three and a half years old and is spayed.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
It makes our hearts so happy when we get kitties who are professional biscuit makers. They take their job very seriously and will knead them paw-made biscuits all day. Take this beautiful honeybun, Ranger, for example. This girl and her pawsies are the best biscuit-makers. She'll knead, knead, knead and the more you pet her, the more she kneads. We can't get enough of her. Since she arrived as a stray, we are unsure of her history but it is crystal clear that this girl has an abundance of love to offer a very lucky adopter. Ranger loves when someone is petting her. She will nudge as close as she can and will close her eyes to soak it all up. She's absolutely precious. Ranger would be the best fursister your respectful kiddos could ask for. They'd be so lucky to have her love. She asked us to let you know she'd prefer to not have other feline friends in her new home. Ranger is living in a different room other than the main adoption room, so just ask us to see her once you get to the shelter. We'll show you the way! She is about two and a half years old and is spayed.

Not good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi new friends! I'm Celeste! I'm a little younger than around three years old and I'm spayed. I spent time in a foster home raising my babies, who have all been adopted, and my foster mom would tell you that I was so gentle, kind, calm, and trusting immediately. My human friends at the shelter will tell you the same thing. I'm a complete lovebug. I love food. So much. Treats. Churus. Catnip. Anything. You have my undivided attention if you have food! I also like to play with toys on strings. Exploring is another one of my fave things to do. I'm an active, on-the-go girl so if you have lots of windows for me to stare out, I really think that I would enjoy watching all the fun sights during the day. Do you have kiddos who want a fun fursister?! Pick me! I think we would have so much fun together. I'd prefer to have all of your love, affection, and attention focused on me so could I please be the only furbaby in the home? My personality is large enough to fill the whole house! And oh yeah! Please ask to see me when you get to MHS. Love, Celeste.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Winston has never met a stranger. He loves everyone and everyone loves him. He can never get enough attention. He'll chat up a storm, too. We love talking to Winston! He is the sweetest guy ever. We think that as soon as Winston is adopted that he will make himself right at home. That's exactly what he did here. His second favorite thing aside from people is spray cheese! He loves it! Since Winston is FIV+, other kitties in the home should either be friendly, healthy, and UTD on vaccines or also FIV+. A slow introduction is always beneficial to building a good relationship! At the shelter, Winston has shown very positive interest in other kitty friends. Like we said, he seems to be that guy who is "everyone's guy" and who everyone adores. He is about one and a half years old and is neutered.
