Story
Munchkin is an incredibly affectionate cat with an adorably unique personality. We brought her in with her 2 brothers in 2020 with the hope to adopt them all out but she ended up going with my mother while her brothers found new homes. She loves people and dogs but tends to get stressed by other cats. In the last few months, I unfortunately got laid off from my job right after making the decision to separate from my partner resulting in my needing to move back home. I have two already bonded cats, one of which does not get along with Munchkin. We also will be needing to move out of state by middle of 2026 and almost every place we could rent from will only allow 2 cats. With all of these factors in mind, my mother and I agreed that Munchkin should be the one rehomed since the other cat is bonded to my elderly senior cat, who we don't want to stress further than necessary. She is honestly a truly great cat who deserves a home where she can be prioritized and live peacefully.

Story
Sunkist is a handsome, orange kitty with bluish-grey-green eyes. He has an onery, sweet personality, loves being picked up, readily accepts multiple kisses, and enjoys playing with his feather wand. Sunkist was born to an outdoor momma cat (now spayed), and would have lived the rest of his life in the risky outdoors, taking cover in a shed at nights, until I saw him and his siblings. Having cared for stray cats and kittens for the past 15 years, I took them into my care, with winter approaching. At 2.5 months young, Sunkist is now neutered, dewormed, flea treated, bathed, and has received his first FVRCP vaccine. His rehoming fee of $50 includes his neuter and vaccination. Our county shelter is a kill shelter, so I am rehoming Sunkist myself. An indoor home is recommended for a longer, safer life for Sunkist. Also, no declawing please, as it is inhumane. Please contact me for more pics and videos on this orange cutie. Thank you, Nicola

Story
Hi, my name is Freckles and I'm about 4 years old.  I was a stray and rescued by a BCHS volunteer, and brought to Bond County Humane Society to find a loving permanent home.  I live with another FIV positive cat at the shelter. I am playful and like to chase bouncy balls. I like to get to know you before I want to be petted.  Of course, this is all on my terms.  I determine when and how long you can pet me.  I love to explore and look in all the nooks and crannies around the shelter. I am considered Special Needs for a couple reasons.  First, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  FIV is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care.  Second, I was also diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which requires me to have a special diet.  It is extremely important for me to stay healthy.  I get along well with the other cat in the FIV room at the shelter.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee has been waived.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Goldie   and I'm about 5 months old. My siblings and I were born to a feral mom. We were all trapped, spayed/neutered, and ear-tipped. Then because we were very friendly, my siblings and I were surrendered to Bond County Humane Society so we can find loving furever homes. I am a beautiful orange kitten. I love to climb the cat trees and play with my siblings. I am a little cautious at first, but then I like being picked up and petted. I start purring when you snuggle me. My favorite toy is a sparkle ball.   I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $140. If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Jossie and I'm 11 years old.  Me and my litter mates were surrendered to Bond County Humane Society for adoption because the people we lived with did not want us.  I am sociable and playful.  Before I came to live at BCHS I lived in a garage but I was well socialized with people and played with an 8 year old child.  I don't have any experience with dogs.  I like to play with toys, string, boxes or pretty much anything.  In 2017 I was diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease).  In my case it affects my stomach, not my intestines.  Because my stomach is involved it causes me to have chronic vomiting.  My care for this condition includes food and medication.  In my case the food I tolerate best has fish as the protein, not any meat.  The other part of my care is supplemental injections under the skin of  B-12.  This is needed because my body is unable to absorb this vitamin.   I have done well on the maintenance program described.  I have been able to maintain a healthy weight.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped. My adoption fee is waived. If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.    A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds or returns is available upon request. July 18, 2025, 2:46 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Fantasia and I'm 10 years old.  I was originally rescued when I was about 6 weeks old.  Me and my litter mates were abandoned by our owner.  I was the only one of the litter that survived.  I have been at Bond County Humane Society since I was rescued.  I have lived in a foster home for awhile, but I was not comfortable and never acclimated to the environment so I came back to the shelter.  I live in a community room with other cats and get along with all of them.   I am friendly and playful in my normal environment.  I like to play with a few of the other cats in my community room.  I am very shy once I'm taken out of my environment.  I do tilt my head to one side a lot.  I have been seen by a veterinarian, but no cause has been determined for the tilt.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped. My adoption fee is by donation.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.
