You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you're working for home or just playing it safe by practicing social distancing, now is a perfect time to bring a new furry family member into the fold. Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact. Edith is about 10 years old as of December 2024.  Edith was adopted as a kitten and returned to our rescue at 9 years old through no fault of her own.  Imagine losing all you knew and had after 9 years only to have to return to a shelter environment! This poor girl is still afraid of her caregivers and is difficult to catch. We know she has the potential to blossom into a lovey girl with time and patience. She's amazing with other cats, too! Apply at safehousepets.org !Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:   $75 - Kittens/Young (Up to 1 year) $50 - Adult (1 Year +) $25 - Senior (7 Years +) $0 - FIV + There is an additional $25 fee for cats considered to be an "Exotic" (Siamese, Persian, etc...) If you are a senior (65 years or older) you can adopt any of our senior cats (7 years or older) for only $10! Please mention this special when applying. We also have a kitten special - adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125 While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat.  Our cats are shown by appointment - we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours. Ginger is estimated to be about 12 years old.  She lived her entire life outside until she was brought into rescue at the end of May, 2024.  She has had many litters of kittens but that has all changed now since she is now fully vetted and vaccinated and she won't have to worry about those things anymore.  She may be 12, but she is great shape.  Bloodwork was run and it is normal!  Dental was complete with 11 extractions.  She is feeling so much better!  Ginger is adjusting well to the inside life.  She's sweet and will need time to adjust in her home with patience while she learns to be brave and trust.  She will require a home that can be careful with her by the door as she continues to adjust to the inside life.  She has lived her life with multiple cats, and she chooses her own little space, in her bed, happy!  She would be a wonderful addition to a quieter home.  Adopt her today.  Approved applications will be contacted within 48 hoursVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Cloud is about estimated to be about 12 years old as of November, 2024.  He was found living in a colony in poor condition.  It ook us months to "fix"  the issues that his 12 years of living on the streets unneutered caused, but with the help of our supporters he has received necessary medical treatment and care and his issues are resolved! He’s had a dental, blood work (no issues) ultrasounds, (no issues), neuter, vaccinations, 2 corrective eye surgeries, exams and lots of TLC and now this handsome man is in good condition! Now it’s time for us to show him what the good life is all about; love, a house, a bed, a lap! He’s super sweet and charming. Loves pets, belly rubs and snuggles. He’s lived his life amongst other cats and would be a great fit into any home who can promise to call him “mine” forever. Adopt him today. Approved applications will be contacted within 48 hours. All day long I hear 'Clyde, stop scratching the TV! Clyde, stop throwing candy around! Clyde, get off the stove, blah blah blah. I kind of like settling on a lap for evening television, but yeah, I like to get right up there sometimes. And I enjoy supervising the cooking around here. Someone needs to! I'm currently accepting applications to see if my person or people are out there! safehousepets.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Buttercup is a very sweet girl who wants attention but she is very shy and it takes her a little while to warm up to new people.  But when she finds her person she melts into them when they do pet her, especially scratches.  She is always hanging out in the same room as her family and she loves other cats and would really love to be in a home with a cat friend.  She is not a fan of the dogs and while she is okay with kids younger she would do best in a quieter home with older kids.  She loves hanging in a cat tree and napping in the sun.  She is VERY vocal when it comes to dinner time so don't worry, she won't let you forget.  She is absolutely gorgeous also and pictures don't do her justice, she has the softest fur and amazing marking.  She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225 ($400 for a pair if adopted with another cat/kitten from the rescue) To adopt Buttercup fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 16, 2025, 7:04 pm
