Story
Banshee is a very sweet but shy cat. She is about 3 years old and does get along with most animals but would be best as a single pet house. She would do best with someone who has a lot of patience and lives in a calm environment. She will hide at first but loves to cuddle and give kisses once she is comfortable. It breaks my heart that she can no longer be in our family but she seems to have a grudge with just one of our other pets.

Story
She was born to feral parents in the area. I took her in. Isabella is super cute and smart. She is up to date on her shots, needs to be spayed. Should be adopted by someone that's experienced. Isabella is confident, demanding, independent, picky. Always busy, will bring toys to you to throw and do it again. She has attitude and can be very demanding at times. I am currently unemployed and not able to work at this time so therefore unable to cover her expenses and possibly need to move in with friends. Not sure how she is with other animals. Don't recommend a home with children. She is a picky eater. She is not real loving. She is busy busy busy. She is about 6 months old also has already cycled once. I will also be sending her window perch, travel set comes with litterbox and food dish. She is in the Praise my Pet calendar, she's a ⭐ Please help Isabella, I love her But will have to surrender her to a shelter if not adopted. 🙏

Story
Hi, my name is Tara and I'm 6 years old.  Me and my litter mate Toby were rescued by Bond County Humane Society from Bond County Animal Control when we were 14 weeks old.  I am sociable, but quiet and laid back compared to my litter mate.  I like to lay on a perch and watch everyone. I can be coaxed to play, but I'm content to be a bystander.  I am shy about being held and petted. Sometimes I like interacting with younger people better than with adults.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped. My adoption fee is waived.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.    A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds or returns is available upon request. October 24, 2024, 4:29 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Topaz and I am about 10 years old.  Me and my 2 litter mates were strays found in the window well of a house during a rain storm when we were about 8 weeks old.  The homeowner did not want us to drown and brought us to BCHS.  I have never been very sociable or outgoing as a kitten.  I usually hide when people enter the room.  I still am very shy and timid.  I need a person who will be patient with me and give me as much time as I need to acclimate to a new environment. Sometimes I prefer interacting with younger people instead of adults. I get along with all the cats I live with in a community room at the shelter.  I am available for immediate adoption.  My adoption fee is waived.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds or returns is available upon request. October 24, 2024, 4:29 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Becca and I'm about 3 years old. I was rescued as a pregnant stray and brought to Bond County Humane Society so I could find a loving fur-ever home. After a few weeks my 6 kittens were born, and now we are all ready to be adopted. I am a pretty dilute calico. I am very laid back. I am rather shy and still getting used to being held and petted. I am considered Special Needs because when I was tested for FeLV/FIV, I tested negative for FeLV, but positive for FIV. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care. It is extremely important for me to stay healthy.  There are other FIV positive cats in my room, and I get along well with them. I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $20 during the Cat Adoption Special.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.October 24, 2024, 4:29 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Dumplin and I'm about 18 months old.  I was found with my mother and siblings as a stray when I was 5 days old, and taken into a Bond County Humane Society foster home for several weeks. My foster mom said I am shy and timid, so it takes me a while to get used to new people. I lived in the shelter for several months, but now I am in a foster home again, where there aren't as many young kittens to jump on me. I like to play with toys. The furry ones are fun to carry around!  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee has been sponsored by an individual.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Jossie and I'm 10 years old.  Me and my litter mates were surrendered to Bond County Humane Society for adoption because the people we lived with did not want us.  I am sociable and playful.  Before I came to live at BCHS I lived in a garage but I was well socialized with people and played with an 8 year old child.  I don't have any experience with dogs.  I like to play with toys, string, boxes or pretty much anything.  In 2017 I was diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease).  In my case it affects my stomach, not my intestines.  Because my stomach is involved it causes me to have chronic vomiting.  My care for this condition includes food and medication.  In my case the food I tolerate best has fish as the protein, not any meat.  The other part of my care is supplemental injections under the skin of  B-12.  This is needed because my body is unable to absorb this vitamin.   I have done well on the maintenance program described.  I have been able to maintain a healthy weight.
