Story
Hi, my name is Tara and I'm 6 years old.  Me and my litter mate Toby were rescued by Bond County Humane Society from Bond County Animal Control when we were 14 weeks old.  I am sociable, but quiet and laid back compared to my litter mate.  I like to lay on a perch and watch everyone. I can be coaxed to play, but I'm content to be a bystander.  I am shy about being held and petted. Sometimes I like interacting with younger people better than with adults.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped. My adoption fee is waived.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.    A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds or returns is available upon request. October 24, 2024, 4:29 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Topaz and I am about 10 years old.  Me and my 2 litter mates were strays found in the window well of a house during a rain storm when we were about 8 weeks old.  The homeowner did not want us to drown and brought us to BCHS.  I have never been very sociable or outgoing as a kitten.  I usually hide when people enter the room.  I still am very shy and timid.  I need a person who will be patient with me and give me as much time as I need to acclimate to a new environment. Sometimes I prefer interacting with younger people instead of adults. I get along with all the cats I live with in a community room at the shelter.  I am available for immediate adoption.  My adoption fee is waived.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds or returns is available upon request. October 24, 2024, 4:29 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Becca and I'm about 3 years old. I was rescued as a pregnant stray and brought to Bond County Humane Society so I could find a loving fur-ever home. After a few weeks my 6 kittens were born, and now we are all ready to be adopted. I am a pretty dilute calico. I am very laid back. I am rather shy and still getting used to being held and petted. I am considered Special Needs because when I was tested for FeLV/FIV, I tested negative for FeLV, but positive for FIV. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care. It is extremely important for me to stay healthy.  There are other FIV positive cats in my room, and I get along well with them. I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $20 during the Cat Adoption Special.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.October 24, 2024, 4:29 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Dumplin and I'm about 19 months old.  I was found with my mother and siblings as a stray when I was 5 days old, and taken into a Bond County Humane Society foster home for several weeks. My foster mom said I am shy and timid, so it takes me a while to get used to new people. Now I live in the shelter with some other adult cats. I like to play with toys. The furry ones are fun to carry around!  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee has been sponsored by an individual.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Freckles and I'm about 3 years old.  I was a stray and rescued by a BCHS volunteer, and brought to Bond County Humane Society to find a loving permanent home.  I live with another FIV positive cat at the shelter. I am playful and like to chase bouncy balls. I like to get to know you before I want to be petted.  Of course, this is all on my terms.  I determine when and how long you can pet me.  I love to explore and look in all the nooks and crannies around the shelter. I am considered Special Needs for a couple reasons.  First, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  FIV is comparable to AIDS in people. Second, I was also diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which requires me to have a special diet.  It is extremely important for me to stay healthy.  I get along well with the other cat in the FIV room at the shelter.  I   am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee has been waived.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Tatiana and I am about 13 years old.  I was originally abandoned at an apartment building and a BCHS volunteer found me.  I was adopted in March 2012 and returned to BCHS in July 2013 because my adopter was placed in a nursing home.  I am shy at first and hide a lot until I get comfortable with my new surroundings.  I am on a special diet.  I have had a couple urinary tract infections and the special food reduces the chance of crystals forming in my bladder.  I have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and require daily medication.  I did have a severe case of Vasculitis that resulted in part of my one ear and part of my tail being removed.  My vet has recommended discontinuation of future vaccines because of my compromised immune system. I need to have no stress in my environment. You can sponsor me for as little as $15.00/month.  This is the cost for a month's supply of my medication.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is waived.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an Adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.    A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds, or returns is available upon request.October 24, 2024, 4:29 pm
