Millie came to AARF after living on the street, with her two sisters, Maeve and Margot! Millie is the chatty sister, always greeting anyone she meet with a big and loud meow! She loves to chat about her favorite foods and toys and will always let you know when her bowl is empty! She's a foodie and a nap lover. Millie's favorite place to take a nap would be your lap! And while she is quite the sleepy head and a little aloof at times, she does have a crazy side to her. She loves to run wild with her sisters! Millie is spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Story
Reeses is a love-able, wild calico girl. She is the only cat I have ever owned that loves my kids. She sleeps with them and rubs their faces with her face but refuses to rub my face! She’s definitely a kid lover which makes her unique in my book. Reese’s is a very territorial cat. She really doesn’t like other cats and definitely not dogs, so she would probably be best as an only pet. Her sister isn’t even an exception! She sustained an injury a while ago but it has not held her back one bit. Reeses can’t bend her knee which you don’t really notice until she sits. Her leg hangs or sticks out which just adds character but she is still fast and likes to hunt outdoors. She is such a sweet girl and it breaks my heart to have to rehome her but it’s the best decision for our family. We love her so much and want someone who will take good care of her.

Story
Meet Sassapis: A bundle of energy and smarts with a bit of an edge! This sassy boy may have FIV, but don't let that scare you off-he's as lively and playful as they come. Sassapis is a big fan of Churus, and absolutely loves his worm teaser and laser pointer, so if you've got those on hand, you're sure to become fast friends! This vocal guy enjoys being around people but prefers to keep a little mystery about himself-he's not always up for the spotlight. Though he's wary of hands, he has a soft spot for his scratcher and will gladly accept pets through it. Patience and a gentle touch will win you his trust, and once you've got that, you'll find an incredibly intelligent and engaging companion in Sassapis. If you would like to meet this handsome guy, put in an application today!

Story
Meet RuPaul, a unique and independent cat with a personality all her own. She loves spending time on the enclosed porch, meowing to let you know she wants to go out and enjoy some fresh air. RuPaul is a bit of a loner, preferring to keep to herself most of the time. She has her favorite spots around the house where she loves to relax, so you'll always know where to find her. Despite her independent streak, RuPaul has a soft spot for treats. She'll rub against your legs to remind you that it's time for a snack, showing her affectionate side just for a moment. She also loves food, making mealtime one of her favorite times of the day. RuPaul's relationship with other cats can be a bit challenging. Her feline foster brother has learned to give her space due to her feisty nature. She tends to prefer solitude, and while she might enjoy a gentle pet now and then, she truly enjoys being given her space. If you're looking for a cat with a strong personality who knows what she wants, RuPaul might be the perfect addition to your home. She's looking for a patient and understanding family who will give her the space she needs to feel comfortable and safe. If you would like to meet RuPaul, submit an adoption application today!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ritz aka "Hey Boo" is a beautiful, muted calico. She's playful, joyful, gentle, and curious. Ritz is Feline Leukemia positive, so she would need to be the only cat in the home or with other cats who are also Feline Leukemia positive. Ritz is currently in foster because of her medical condition. However, her diagnosis doesn't mean she can't live a long and healthy life. Her placement in foster primarily serves to protect the other cats in our program from contracting Feline Leukemia from her. Ritz is loving life in foster! Her favorite pastimes are making biscuits, chasing wand toys, watching "cat tv." She also enjoys people tv, and PBS is her favorite channel. Ritz is ready for a loving home. Her ideal home would be medium energy with plenty of enrichment. She does well with kids - she's very playful but also very gentle. Her condition does not prohibit her from living with dogs, and we think she might like having a pup playmate!

Story
Lizzy B is a plush, confident lady who knows what she wants. And what Lizzy B wants is to be an only child. She cannot abide by even seeing other cats down the hall without feeling vexxed and annoyed . If she were human, Lizzy B would probably be a school bus driver or a parole officer. She would like a job in which she could wear and ID on a lanyard and have a keychain with many, many keys. A snackroom (amply supplied) would also be high up on her list of must-haves Lizzy B is very affectionate, until she is not, and then she will alert you the petting must stop. You will always know where you stand with this young lady, as she has no time for coyness and ambiguity. Lizzy B is very smart, and she is very good at sizing up your character and the depth of your heart. If you love her, she will love you back a hundred times over. Because Lizzy B wants respect and occasional boundaries (her "me time"), this queen would be happiest in an adult home with someone who is devoted to her.

Hero came to us from a good neighbor who was looking out and realized a bunch of kitties had been abandoned at a house by their previous owner. She took them in, took good care of them, and found them a safe place to land. Hero is such a sweetheart. He is currently living in a foster home with one of his siblings, Hero. We would love to schedule a time for him (or them!) to come out to the shelter to meet you!

The vet said she’s about 3 years old now. We would love to keep her but she doesn’t get along with our male cat at home. She likes to play and sleep.
