You can hear them chirping all day long. Paws had its own "flock of birds" that got their names because mama Dove likes to chirp. This family was taken in as strays by a lady to give mama a safe place to raise her kittens. The babies have all long since spread their wings and found their furever home, however Dove still finds herself waiting. We aren't sure how many litters of kittens she has had in her past, but Dove has done her motherly duties for the last time. She is now looking for a home where she gets to be the one taken care of. Dove is as beautiful as she is sweet with her ticked tabby coat. She is a renowned singer of songs with her purrs and chirps that have smitten the entire volunteer staff at Paws. She has been bunking up with 3 other cats at the rescue and took minimal time to integrate. This girl will greet you at the door with her purrs and chirps when you enter the room. She loves to get pet, but loves to play equally as much. Dove likes stick toys best as they allow interaction. She gets bored of the little ball that goes in circles in the track. She also likes to sunbath on the cat towers. Our guess is she would love a window overlooking trees or the garden where she could watch the birds. When dog tested, she arched up & hissed, but made no move to go near or run from the dog. If the resident dog was indifferent to her, they would likely be able to coexist. Her kittens all found their furever homes, and now its time for Mama Lily. Lily is a master biscuit maker. She is so happy to have attention and love that she purrs and kneads as long as you'll let her. She can be very vocal if she thinks she needs help getting your attention. She also enjoys scratching posts and comfy beds, chairs, blankets, or laps. Lily is very playful. Some of the cats she is bunking up with at the rescue get kinda annoyed with her. She jumps on them, trying to get em to play but they aren't always interested. She would love a playful, patient housemate in her furever home or to be the only cat. A neighbor said he wanted to take these 2 so the man held onto them waiting on him to come back. He never did and then the kittens were past that "cute and tiny" stage that people insist their new kittens be in. So they came to Paws to find their actual furever homes. Kara takes a little time to warm up to new environments. She finds a safe spot to hide in and ventures out, but will scoot back if she isn't sure. After being with us for 3 weeks, she now comes to see who is entering the room. Before you can pet her, she needs to give your hand a sniff. She wants to make sure you aren't going to get germs or stinky smells on her beautiful coat. lol Just think about how particular a teenage girl is - and you have Kara.If you pass the sniff test, she welcomes the lovin and will move herself around under your hand to get just the right spots. She is what they call a ticked tabby. She does not have the traditional stripes on her back, but a blend of black and brown hair that is so very pretty. Kara does have the traditional stripes on her legs though. This shy but loveable teen is hoping you will come find her soon. Kara would love to get into her furever home before the fall days so she has someone to curl up with on those chilly mornings and evenings. You just need to apply! ##2142205##

This adorable lil gal is Chipmunk. Animal control found her out trying to navigate the world on her own at just 4wks old. She had eye and respiratory infections. Paws took her in and treated her infections. She is well now and doesn't seem to have any after effects of her illenss. Chipmunk is playful. She loved batting around the crinkle toys, ball, or little stuffies. She also likes stick toys, tunnels, and... well... anything she can play with haha. She plays well with other cats and is such a goofy girl. She also really likes to spend time with people. She loves pets and to be held.
