Planned PEThood is seeking adopters who have safe outdoor housing that can provide unsocialized cats with a chance at life. These cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and ear tipped. There is no adoption fee for our working cats, but we happily accept donations to continue the program’s efforts. Our Working Cats program is designed to place cats into safe environments where they are valued for their hunting skills. The cats in this program are considered ‘unadoptable’ by local animal control agencies and have been placed in this program as an alternative to euthanasia. The cats may not be suitable for adoption because they are unsocialized and/or did not acclimate to living in close quarters with humans. A working cat is a type of domestic cat that “works” for its upkeep by hunting vermin, such as rodents. They are commonly employed where pest control is needed: in barns, farms, factories, warehouses, stores, churchyards, and private property. One benefit of using a working cat is that they alleviate the need for harmful pesticides in pest control. Through our partnership with Gwinnett County Animal Welfare & Enforcement and other animal control agencies, we have been able to save over 750 unsocialized cats by sending them to working cat environments. Mac is a sweet little guy who never misses an opportunity to have some fun. He gets along great with other cats and loves his little brother Cheese. Ping Pong balls and jingle bell balls are his most favorite toy to chase around. Wand toys are also a ton of fun for him. Mac is an affectionate little guy who always wants some snuggles in the morning or really anytime that his foster hasn’t been around for a few hours. He will make a great addition to any family. Nikko, The Silver Bullet is a beautiful, male, silver tabby cat with white legs and gray tabby markings on his back and head. Approximately 10-month old kitten/young cat with a very playful personality and lots of love and affection is looking for a home where he can play and snuggle. During the day, he likes to get lots of exercise chasing his toys and at night, will often snuggle up and purr as you both drift off to sleep. Nikko is fully vetted with all of his shots, is neutered, and microchipped.

Hello, I’m giving away my cats because i am pregnant and have became very allergic to them. Unfortunately I do have to give them away before I develop asthma. They are the sweetest thing ever. I am willing to have communication with the next person to adopt them just to check in on them every here and there. The male is very clingy and the female is curious and affectionate on her timing. She loves to cuddle in bed. They must stick together. They have been with one another ever since they were less than a month old.
