Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Gertie is a lovely approximately 5yr old spayed female.  Gertie is a special needs kitty because she has skin allergies.  She is currently on an every other day medication (easy to give, not expensive) and a limited ingredient diet (she can’t have poultry, for example). Gertie is sweet and playful.  She likes looking out the window and loves napping on a pillow. She was part of a feral colony, but was an outsider in the colony. She asked for help and we answered. She has enjoyed becoming a house pet and is curious about other cats. We believe with a slow introduction she would be ok with other cats. It is kitten season and it’s hard to find home for adults, much less one with special needs.  Please spread the word about Gertie!  She will be a great companion for some lucky person.October 26, 2024, 12:23 am

Story
Cindy is an affectionate, quirky, and very clever 5-year-old tortie with a unique squinty expression. She is sweet as can be, loves to cuddle and loves to be with her people at all times. She will play fetch and especially loves spring toys and catnip. She has lived with dogs and other cats, and enjoys their company. Cindy is highly allergic to dust mites and 24 different types of pollen/trees/grass, so she cannot be outside (other than in her carrier) for any reason. The house gets vacuumed regularly and I run an air purifier unit (which will come with her) for dust mites. To keep her allergies in check, Cindy eats single-protein rabbit-based food, and requires a dose of liquid Atopica each day (orally or in her food), and a subcutaneous injection of anti-allergy serum weekly. She would do well with a family who has someone home much of the time, and who can work together when it’s time for her meds and injections. She doesn’t like them, which is why a 2-person tag team would be helpful - but she has never scratched or bitten while they’re being done. She will sometimes pee or poop outside her litter box, so it`s cleaned daily and has pads underneath and around it to contain any accidents. We`re looking for a new foster or forever home for Cindy because her current foster is facing two rounds of knee replacement surgery in the coming months and won`t be able to keep up with Cindy`s medical needs along with her two adopted senior cats.

Story
Does your cat need a best friend? Rag Tag might be for you!Rag Tag is a cat’s cat. He is not the most keen on being pet, receiving affection, or showing love. He plays with his cat (and dog) companions in the peripherals, sits in boxes out of your reach, and chases toys up and down the stairs. Rag Tag has even been known to steal a pair of socks to play with. Sometimes you’ll get lucky and he’ll let you pet him! But don’t expect it.He also does not come with a tail.No longer worry about your lonely kitty and put in an application for Rag Tag today. https://oneloveanimalrescue.com/pre-adoption-application/

Story
Hi - I am Mookie Mae. My mom calls me Mookie Pookie Dookie cause she is silly. I was in Animal Control as a tiny kitten really scared, and now I don`t love people touching me, but I do like to hang out with my family. I have let my mom hold me and give me kisses. I love cat friends - my best friend is my 9 year old foster cat brother who lets me cuddle with him in his bed. I love to sleep in my favorite window seat or a dog bed and my mom just bought me a cat tree that I love. I know what time breakfast is every morning so I come into the kitchen to let mom know I am hungry. My favorite toy is a ball that I carry around and I REALLY love when bugs come in and I can hunt them. I may be shy with people but I am sweet and easy. I like to sit in the living room while everyone watches tv, and I like to talk to everyone when I want something. I will come up to mom to take cat treats out of her hand - my favorite are Churu treats. Sometimes I sneak up on her and touch her feet with my paws to tell her thank you. I live with three dogs, and while I like them, sometimes they are a little bit crazy for me, but I do let my foster brother Alden lick me. My perfect home needs a cat (I play very gently so older cats are perfect too!) and someone who will let me come out of my shell at my own pace. Kids are going to be scary because they move fast like me so I prefer older ones.Submit your applications online at: https://oneloveanimalrescue.com/pre-adoption-application/
