Story
Delilah was trapped in a feral colony and she was a very feral kitten when she came to us. Unfortunately, she has retained a lot of her feral qualities. She enjoys sitting on the cat trees and looking outside but she doesn't like to be touched. She is not aggressive and will warn you if you get too close. She does get along with the other cats. As we make a committment to all the kitties we take in, she will always have a home with us but she would appreciate having a home of her own. Maybe she just hasn't met her hooman yet.

Story
DOB 2/23/21 estimate. Grasshopper was truly a feral kitten when we got her. She was hissy/spitty but didn't know what to do when that didn't scare me away. Since then, she has become such a sweet little girl. She is always the first one to come running when I enter the room and she is quick to purr to let me know she is happy to see me. She loves to be held and pet. She loves to explore and gets along with the other kitties. She doesn't like to be alone so she would need to be with another sweet cat.

Story
Angie has been returned to us through no fault of her own. She misses having a family to love her and a home to call her own. Her poor little heart is broken and she would really like to have a new family that will love her and help mend her broken heart. She would like to be an only cat but she will probably be okay with another sweet cat. If you have room in your heart and your home for this sweet girl please complete the adoption application so we can make arrangements for you to meet. A little background: Angie was found in the middle of Hwy 120 in Grayson during a torrential downpour. She was soaking wet and scared. Cars were swerving around her to avoid hitting her. A nice lady scooped her up and took her to the nearest shop which just happened to be owned by a BackStreet Kittens foster mom! We estimated that we was about 5 weeks old at the time. She went to foster care and then was adopted in Feb 2021.

Story
DOB 9/1/18 estimated UPDATE: Sweet Daisy has grown up with us at BSK. She is such a sweet girl. She loves to be held and get attention from her foster. However, she is very scared of strangers. If you are looking for a great cat, please come meet her. She will have to choose her new person but if you are the lucky one she chooses, you will have a little shadow. Daisy was the smallest of a litter of 5. She was born to a feral mom. When she was about 7 weeks old, her mom left her and her brother Duke at the feeders home. Daisy was very sick with an upper respiratory infection. Duke was taking care of her. They were both caught and immediately taken to the vet. They were both put on antibiotic and are healthy and happy now. Daisy is a very sweet, active girl. She loves to cuddle with her foster mom and showers her with kisses. Daisy is very bonded to her foster. She will need to "choose" her new owner. She was adopted out with her brother Duke but both were so scared that they were returned almost immediately.

Story
DOB - 4/28/21 estimate Jody was a very feral kitten when he came to us. He has made great progress. He loves to be pet and is even okay being held. He actively seeks out his foster for attention! He is still timid with new people so he will need a very special person to adopt him who will give him the time he needs to blossom in a new home. He really is a sweet guy once he decides you can be trusted. he can be aggressive towards other cats so he would prefer to be an only cat or be adopted with his sister Buffy.

Mango came from a shelter and has been with me since a wee kitten. He is now 2 and a half years old. He is a very affectionate cat and very much loves food and treats. I prefer that Mango stay with his brother Plum, but he is rather easy to get used to another environment.

Story
Date of Birth: 6/10/22Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 11/14/24Hi, my name is Terry! I was adopted with my brother, Howie, as a baby kitten. Unfortunately, we were returned to Pippi's Place Rescue a little while ago. Our human brother developed really bad allergies to us. He had to start using something called an "inhaler"; that doesn't sound like fun at all. Our humans tried to do everything they could to keep us because they love us so much but nothing worked. Our foster mom is super nice. She talks to us softly and tells us that everything will be just fine. It took me a little bit to feel safe again in a new place but I am growing more and more confident every day so that my true personality shines through. I was sweet and cuddly as a kitten. I have grown into a calm, gentle boy who enjoys time with my humans. I like to jump on the bed with my foster mom to hang out for a bit when she goes to sleep at night. I really like it when she sits on the floor criss cross with her legs folded so that I can circle around to get comfortable. I am a silly guy sometimes! I let you know when I want attention by giving some major head butts! I have a great little purr motor that softly rumbles when we are spending time together. I get along well with other cats. My brother, Howie, taught me to be a "peacemaker" because he could be a little bossy! I am a lover, not a fighter, so I usually just let him have things his way. Got a mellow adult kitty like me who just enjoys knowing a feline friend is nearby? Maybe a kitten who needs a big brother? I would enjoy being with any kitty who would not try to take my spot on the bed or push me out of the way when I am getting pets from my humans...LOL! I will be just fine as a single kitty as well as long as my humans are able to spend time with me. Life threw me a curve ball when my family could no longer care for me but I am a resilient boy who is ready for a great future. Thanks for "listening" to my story. I am so excited to meet my new, FOREVER family!

Story
Date of Birth: 7/8/24Adoption Fee: $150.00Date Posted: 11/21/24Hi! My name is Anna. My story is pretty ordinary. I showed up in someone's yard one day alone and separated from my momma and kitten siblings. Fortunately, I wandered into just the right place. The nice lady found me and took me inside right away to start taking care of me. I was very little, only about 6-weeks-old, but my kitty momma had clearly been taking care of me because I was in really good shape. I sure hope she and my siblings are safe and happy. Anyway, the nice lady asked the humans at Pippi's Place to take care of me and get me adopted. They were glad to do it because I am such an adorable girl with the most beautiful green eyes. I am a joyful, confident kitten. I used to keep to myself a bit quietly observing my surroundings but my personality has really blossomed over the past few weeks. I went to the adoption center where I met lots of new feline and human friends. I realize now that the world is an awesome place where everybody just wants to love me. That is great because I am ready to love everybody right back! I enjoy chasing things and wrestling with my kitty friends, young ones like me and full grown adults too. One of my favorite playmates is Edmond. You can check him out on pippisplace.org. It would be so cool to find my forever home with him! Whether it is Edmond or another kitty, it will be important for me to have a companion in my new home. Come visit me as soon as you can! I will come right over to ask for pets and let you know I am happy to see you. Maybe you can sit down for a bit and share some snuggles with me? That would really make my day. I hope to see you soon!
