Story
Hi there, my name is Lucy! I'm a 2 month old tabico girl kitty. A tabico is basically a calico but with stripes! So I look a little bit like a jungle cat, and I expect you to have the same respect for me as you would for one of those! After all, you'll be very lucky if I choose to live with you, because I bring a lot to the table--cuddles, adorableness, beauty, with a tinge of sass and spice! I'm sharing a cage with my brother Maximus and my sister Rose, and I'd love for one of them to come home with me, too!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.    November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Hey, my name is Robert! I'm an adult gray tabby and white guy, and let's face it, being at the shelter is not exactly my cup of tea. So I'm a little hissy about it, but don't hold that against me--you wouldn't like being here all day either! I'm hoping someone will take a chance on a guy like me and give me some patience and love in a safe new home. Everyone at the shelter told me I'm a handsome guy, so here's hoping that helps!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Jersey was found in the parking lot of an abandoned building. He quite literally ran up to us jumping and crying for help. He is a loving and quirky little guy who is happy to have attention. He loves to play and loves to be talked to. He has a very large personality, while still not being too much to handle. He needs a home without too many other cats as he tends to be bullied by them easily and will hide away if so. He is free to a happy home and I am willing to make the drive to drop him off for you if needed.

Story
Sheba is a 4-year-old, diluted tortoiseshell who entered our care when her family suddenly had to leave the country and couldn’t take her with them. Imagine the overwhelming sadness for both the humans and their beloved cat.Her foster-dad describes Sheba as a very calm cat who is curious and will investigate what you’re up to. Sheba thoroughly enjoys having her rump, chin, and cheeks scratched. Once this shy girl has a chance to decompress in her new surroundings, she’ll be your best gal-pal and hang out with you while you relax or work from home. This beauty will thrive best as an only kitty in a quiet home. We feel that an experienced adopter, with good cat “mojo” is best match for this queen. Let’s give this sweet baby her second chance to find another loving family. Please schedule your meet and greet by completing your no obligation application at nchsrescue.org. Inside kitty only.

Hi, I'm Thorin and I'm a cat's cat! What does that mean? Well, I love the company of other cats but I'm not so sure about people. I will come out and make myself known to the people but I am very skittish of people. My foster mom can only pet me when I'm in the cat tower or pop-up bed. I can be brought out with a feather toy, but I really love just hanging out with other cats rather than people.I would do best starting in a smaller area to get used to my new environment. I am a great companion for you when you eat dinner. My foster mom has spoiled me with the attention and I am getting used to people and their sudden movements. I still prefer quiet as I just love gazing out the window watching the birds. If you're looking for a cat that will be friends with your cat, then please consider me but I'm not going to be a cat that wants human companionship.Apply at nchsrescue.org/adopt

Story
Alpine is a handsome fella who is looking for a great forever home. He is estimated to be about a year old and is bonded to Cinnamon. While he is shy initially, he loves to romp and play, and it is game-on when the fishing pole toy comes out. Alpine will thrive best in a home that is quieter and with a pet owner who understands that shy cats need a couple weeks to gain their confidence in a new home. He regularly seeking affection, enjoys pets, and loves being brushed. Due to his white coat (and our rules), he must be an inside kitty only and no declawing is permitted. To be considered, please apply at www.nchsrescue.org.
