He delights in interactive play with volunteers, eagerly chasing wand toys and darting through tunnels. He is equally content to entertain himself with kick toys and catnip. He appreciates affection and can be picked up but is not needy. He prefers interactions on his terms. His litterbox habits are top-notch. Unfortunately, Darius is very stressed in the presence of other cats. Her joy is contagious. A kind person rescued Juniper from a horrible situation that probably included animal abuse. She bounced back quickly and will make a fabulous family companion. Juniper tested positive for Feline Leukemia with a regressive infection. PLEASE KEEP READING! We know so much more about this virus now. Cats with a regressive infection have a low risk of developing FeLV-related diseases. The regressive phase of FeLV infection is temporary for most cats, and they can become free of the virus within a few years. So for Juniper, the long-term outlook is good. Feline leukemia is a cat-only disease, so Juniper can live in a home with dogs and rabbits, or just with her favorite species - you! Please ask us if you have questions about FeLV. Persimmon is approximately 1-year-old of April 2023 whose shiny coal-black coat really stands out in a crowd! He is a sweet-tempered and sensitive type who was scared of his new surroundings at first but within the span of 2-3 weeks, he was all over the house and coming around his foster mom for attention and scratches by his tail. Lately, he has with the cold weather he has become quite the snuggle bug wanting to lay on his person's lap with his favorite foster sister almost every time she sits down. He hasn’t been around dogs very much but I believe with a proper introduction of a friendly dog and lots of patience, it should not be a problem. In addition, he gets along well with other cats both young and adults. He would certainly enjoy a similar-aged or friendly adult cat to tussle with as he enjoys spirited playtime with his foster siblings, but he also plays independently quite well. Not only does he have stunning eyes, a shiny coal-black coat with striking tabby markings underneath. His body type is very slim and exotic akin to a Siamese. He is a sweet-tempered soul with a playful personality and loves mealtimes, treats, playing hard, and sleeping on soft blankets or the cat tree. He is a gentle soul who plays well with other kittens and gets along with adult cats in that he does not tend to pester them. This boy plays independently quite well, but I think he would certainly enjoy a younger or active adult cat to tussle with if not a cat/kitten around his age. Mama Emerald was found as a stray and brought to the shelter. When she arrived we suspected that she could be pregnant so we took her to our vet for an ultrasound and sure enough, 4 little babies in there! They were born on June 21, 2024. 3 boys and 1 girl.
