Arya was adopted from Paws as a 6 month old kitten. She was recently returned as she was having difficulty adapting to life in a home with small children. Arya can be very sweet and affectionate but can also be swatty with too much going on around her. We feel Arya would do best in a quiet home with no small children. Arya is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and ready for her quiet forever home where she can get lots of love and attention

Flutterby is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and ready for her quiet forever home where she can get her confidence back.

Dior was returned to Paws after 4 years as his family was leaving the country. Dior seems to get along with other cats. He is pretty perfect but does not like to have his belly rubbed! Dior is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and ready for his forever, final home! This kitty has tested positive for FIV, similar to HIV in people. It can not be transmitted through casual contact, sharing food, water, or a litter box. It can not be transmitted to people or other pet species. It is typically only transmitted to other cats via a deep bite wound. FIV positive cats can live long and healthy lives! They do tend to have more dental issues and absolutely must be kept safely indoors at all times.

But fret not, for beneath her demure facade lies the heart of a playful companion, just waiting to be discovered by the right royal court. Her preferences, you ask? Ah, but Miss Kitty is a discerning monarch indeed! She requires an experienced cat family, adults only, and a serene environment fit for a queen—no other pets shall dare to encroach upon her domain. Story
Harvey is ready to find his forever home! Harvey is a sweet kitten who was found abandoned in a shoebox near a construction site just over a month ago. He has since been in one of our foster homes, and doing great! We realized immediately that Harvey has special needs - he can't walk on his own but that doesn't stop him from doing everything else a "normal" kitten can do. He eats and drinks on his own, he is litterbox trained and he's extremely playful. He is also the best lap kitten and very content being held all day! We had Harvey evaluated by a neurologist and he has been diagnosed with suspected Cerebellar hypoplasia. This is a condition that causes Harvey to have issues walking/moving like a normal kitten, but does not affect his life span or quality of life. His ideal home should be someone who has carpet (or willing to put area rugs down) so he can maneuver without hurting his head, and so that he can get to his litterbox with no issue. His foster mom lets him play on the rug but then puts him in a soft crate where his bed, toys and litterbox are. Harvey has the sweetest personality and has no idea he's not a "normal" kitten! He is great with dogs and cats of all sizes, and loves all humans he meets. If you are a cat-savvy family willing to open your heart & home to this sweet, special boy please fill out an application via our website www.pprct.org today!

Story
~ I am FIV positive, so I need to be an indoor only cat.~ I am a little timid and looking for a peaceful environment; shy cat experience is bonus!~ I would prefer to be the only cat, and not to live with dogs.~ I am a snuggle bug, I love to cuddle and lay in bed with you. ~ I love laying in bed so much, sometimes I can`t make it to the bathroom in time, and will have an occasional accident. For that reason, it`s best that I don`t have access to the bed if you can`t watch me.~ Since I occasionally wet the bed, I might also be a good candidate to live in a office space instead of a traditional home environment!

Story
Meet handsome Darius, a 7-year-old feline urgently needing a foster or foster-to-adopt home. Since his rescue almost a year ago, he’s been residing in a boarding facility, patiently awaiting a forever home. Darius is a sweet and playful companion. He delights in interactive play with volunteers, eagerly chasing wand toys and darting through tunnels. He is equally content to entertain himself with kick toys and catnip. He appreciates affection and can be picked up but is not needy. He prefers interactions on his terms. His litterbox habits are top-notch. Unfortunately, Darius is very stressed in the presence of other cats. The constant exposure to feline sights, sounds, and scents in his boarding environment is taking its toll, leading to occasional spicy behavior For Darius to thrive, he needs a quiet, cat-savvy home without pets or young children. Are you the compassionate cat lover willing to step forward to provide Darius with the loving foster or forever home he deserves? If you believe you have the right environment for Darius or would like to learn more about fostering or adopting him, please fill out the foster or adoption application on our website (www.fofct.org). Your kindness could make a world of difference in Darius' life.

Story
Levi was brought to us as a physically abused and painfully thin 2-year-old yet has admirably emerged as one remarkably resilient, fun-loving, affectionate, and healthy boy who is ready to love and be loved! Despite everything he's been through, Levi relishes human interaction – from gentle pets to spirited playtime, he adores it all. However, when it comes to other cats, Levi would prefer to be without any furry competition. And like so many male cats we've come to know and love through rescue, he's tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). However, with the same devotion and care you'd shower on any beloved feline, Levi's expected lifespan is just as bright as any other cat's. For information on FIV, visit FIV FAQ. Let's give this incredible survivor the loving home he's been waiting for! The first step is to submit our online adoption application at https://www.fofct.org/adoption-application. ✨ With an approved application, we can arrange for you to meet Levi. Applicants must reside within 45 miles of Stamford, CT. (You can read more of Levi's story on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/donate/3161415940671048/)

Story
Now and then, we meet a truly remarkable cat. Juniper is one of them. Our volunteer team is crazy about this joyful 6-month-old girl. She loves to play, purr, knead, and hang out with people. Her joy is contagious. A kind person rescued Juniper from a horrible situation that probably included animal abuse. She bounced back quickly and will make a fabulous family companion. Juniper tested positive for Feline Leukemia with a regressive infection. PLEASE KEEP READING! We know so much more about this virus now. Cats with a regressive infection have a low risk of developing FeLV-related diseases. The regressive phase of FeLV infection is temporary for most cats, and they can become free of the virus within a few years. So for Juniper, the long-term outlook is good. Feline leukemia is a cat-only disease, so Juniper can live in a home with dogs and rabbits, or just with her favorite species - you! Please ask us if you have questions about FeLV. Fill out an adoption application (https://www.fofct.org/adoption-app) and come and meet this joyful girl. Thanks to the generosity of a caring volunteer, Juni's adoption fee is covered, making it even easier to bring this beautiful soul into your life. Please note applicants MUST reside within 45 miles of Stamford, CT, and have reliable transportation. Some cats may be restricted to a smaller radius on a case-by-case basis.

Story
She is calm and loves to cuddle. She may be shy at first but warms up quickly. She likes to talk sometimes, mostly when it’s dinner time. She is 1 year old but she is a big girl. She is the sweetest cat I’ve ever met. My brother was a gifted a cat and without knowing she was pregnant she had Mikasa and her sister. We never thought of having them re-homed with anyone else but unfortunately we’ve had to move and our new Landlord does allow more than 1 cat. I hope someone with a lot of love finds her and continues to give her the same love we have.

We adopted Niko from his previous owner who had his mother. He is sweet but can also become aggressive. He is very curious and will steal objects like a ferret! He currently lives with our dog and they get along. He would do well in a house with another cat so he can learn better kitty manners.

Marcus is a sweet boy! He loves to be petted and have his head scratched! He’s a playful boy, loves to eat and cuddles up with his foster siblings to sleep. He’s best friends with Landon and we think adopting the two boys together is best for both of them. They’re both really beautiful Abyssinians.
