It is too stressful for the cats or kittens to be transported long distances, especially when enclosed in a vehicle containing dogs and puppies. Thank you for your understanding. Introducing Leo, the charming male cat with a striking Ebony/White Tabby coat. This Domestic Shorthair feline is as handsome as can be! Leo has a super soft coat that's simply irresistible to touch. Leo has a strong, almost dominant personality, a trait developed from living his first 6 months on the streets fending for himself. He would likely thrive in a young cat household. He does enjoy playing and running with other kitties, but for older cats he may play a bit rough sometimes. He doesn't mind dogs, but more often will ignore them. He would do best with an experienced cat family, because he does put up a front of being a bit of a grump. He sleeps very peacefully and adorably, and that is the best time to give him the affection and pets he wants. This cat can only be adopted in the state of Texas and has an adoption fee of $100.

God's Dogs Rescue plus Kitties does NOT transport any cats or kittens in or out of the state of Texas. It is too stressful for the cats or kittens to be transported long distances, especially when enclosed in a vehicle containing dogs and puppies. Thank you for your understanding. Crunchy Granola Suite - I know it is a weird name but whatever. My foster mom and dad call me Gato to remind me that I am not a dog. (Gato means cat in another language) I like the dogs here. I play chase with them, and I will wrestle with the puppies although they are getting big and between the 2 of them, they can pin me down more often than I like. It's not fair getting ganged up on but I am a good gato, I just hiss and run and that usually takes care of that. The big dogs just walk on by me and occasionally I will swat their tails but really, they outweigh me by at least 70# so not much to play with there. I taught myself how to go in and out of the doggie door and like to lay in the sun when the weather is nice. I have been known to sneak across the street and sleep on the neighbor's porch chairs too. I probably shouldn't say that, but it is true. I will need a home with indulgent adopters or a home without the doggie door for me to sneak out of. If you are indulgent or don't have a doggie door, please let me know. I am very cuddly and like to sleep on your shoulder when you are doing dumb stuff like working on the computer or watch TV. I will also share your pillow at night if you let me and purr in your ears. Adoption fee is $150 and I am only adoptable in the state of Texas.

Story
Meet Zeus Almighty! A stray who is estimated to be about 6 1/2 years old, was brought to us to find an indoor home and learn to be socialized. After a few months in foster care, he came into the shelter to get adopted.Though not quite ready for petting, he has begun to be more comfortable around people and hands. He seems to have potential for being a good house cat, possibly a mouser, and would likely do best in a quieter home without children. He is absolutely a cat’s cat and must have a cat friend! We have introduced Zeus to a few different cats, and he has been friendly to all. Currently hanging out with a young cat and starting to bond with her - so come and consider these two cats who are ready to move into their new home. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Story
Buttercup was someone's cat who was put outside. Unfortunately, she was hit by a car and sustained multiple injuries, requiring multiple surgeries. Once Buttercup recovered from her spay surgery, she had her tail amputated and crushed teeth were removed as they were jammed into her jaw. Buttercup has been living with an extraordinary foster who is helping her to recover from so much physical and emotional trauma, making her feel pampered, loved and cared for now that she is not in pain. She will need a patient adopter to care for her and build trust. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Story
We had it all wrong! Two year old Allie was initially thought to be a feral pregnant cat and was placed in one our foster homes. It turns out that Allie was not pregnant and was not feral! She was likely in pain from her teeth, which were recently removed with the exception of one. Now she is a lap cat! Allie doesn't like to be picked up but will sit on her foster mom's lap for hours. Her foster mom describes her as "the sweetest little thing." Her foster mom also writes, "This is Allie. She is estimated to be about 2 years old. She was found in an abandoned building in Hartford. She has only one tooth and is FIV+. When she first arrived at my home she was terrified. She wouldn’t come near me; I was able eventually able to get her in a big crate. Every time I went to feed her, she would hide in the back of the cage. After about 2 weeks she became a love bug. She started to wait for me to come to her door and pet her. After 3 weeks I let her have full range of the kitten room. She loved it! She became my lap cat. She is such a sweet happy girl if you give her a chance. I brought her to the shelter to get attention and hopefully get adopted but I am noticing she is becoming fearful again and hiding in the back of her cage. Please open your heart up to Allie and give her a chance, you won’t regret it! She would be best suited in a home with older children and/or cats younger than her."This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home!
