Story
Lily came to Animals For Life ,shy, skittish and with little human contact. She is  8 y.o  and is currently being fostered and loves playing, being pet and brushed and will remind you by gently tapping you with her paw. Lily will need to go to a quiet home with a family that will give her the time she needs to get comfortable and adjust to her new surroundings. Although still a bit skittish, Lily has tons of love to give. If you are interested in adopting Lily, you can find our online-fillable adoption application by visiting https://animalsforlife.org/feline-adoption-application.July 3, 2024, 8:26 pm

NOTE: A portion of the adoption fee for Zizi is generously being sponsored by an anonymous donor. She can be yours at a reduced fee of $200 (pending the standard adoption approval process). Zizi is a gorgeous girl with unique calico and tabby markings. She was a young mother and now that her kittens are grown, she deserves to be spoiled! While she may seem shy at first, she is quick to trust. She loves to have her chin and neck rubbed. She's a mellow girl with lots of love to give.   Zizi is friendly with other cats, often offering a head rub in passing. She loves to "mother" younger cats. Zizi was born around January 12, 2021. She  is currently being fostered in Naugatuck and would love to meet you! She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*  All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.  Application for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/  Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs. Story
NOTE: A portion of the adoption fee for Suzie is generously being sponsored by an anonymous donor. She can be yours at a reduced fee of $200, pending the standard adoption approval process. Suzie is a sweet girl who needs someone to take a chance on her. She came from a not-so-great situation, so it has taken a while for her foster parents to build up trust with her. She now allows her foster parents to pet, give kisses and even hold her! She is not a lap cat yet, but she is getting there. She loves to sit in the window while hanging out with her foster mom and watching what is going on outside. Because of the situation she was in prior to being fostered, she needs to be the only cat in the household. Suzie was born around March 2021, and she is currently being fostered in Ansonia.  She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV* ' All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.  Application for adoption can be found at  https://www.fosterandforever.org/     Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs. Story
Josie is a silly, feisty, small-sized bundle of fun. She LOVES playing with toys and running around after the other cats/kittens. She especially loves rolling around in the cat tunnel and playing with her little stuffed animals. She carries them around, tosses them around, and likes to bathe them in her water dish.  Josie is a shy girl but enjoys getting pet on her head and behind the ears. She can be picked up and handled but is not a fan of being held for long periods of time. She has suffered a right eye trauma as a kitten, and the issue is managed with eye drops. She has expressive eyes that will melt your heart. Josie needs a quiet/calm household as she is skittish of people and loud noises. She loves to play and would do well with other cats/kittens. She would love another cat to chase around, but a home with small children is not recommended as it might make her nervous. Josie was born around the end of February 2022 and is currently being fostered in New Haven. She is fixed, has had her rabies and first distemper shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV* All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Application for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/  Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs.   July 4, 2024, 9:36 pm

Toodles is misspelled, in the story it was Tootles and a male not female as she is here. Like the character in the story, she is laid back, playing on occasion. Life won't pass her by, she jumps right in.
