I got Peggy a little over a year ago. She is a 5 year old domestic short hair cat. She is tricolored with brown, black, and white. Peggy is a very fun cat. She is extremely cuddly, loves pets, and loves sleeping on fuzzy blankets. She can be a little feisty when she's riled up or wants space, but she's still an extremely sweet cat. She likes to play with toys that she can chase, like laser pointers. She doesn't do well with other pets, and is very much a one or two person cat. She is also a very vocal cat, and can and will tell you what she needs. I'm looking for someone who can be home and give her more attention than I can, as I work two jobs and am a college student.

Mili is a 8 year old gray tabby that was adopted from Adams County Animal Shelter, 5 1/2 years ago. Mili is very skiddish and needs a one person, female home. She does not like males and has never bonded with my husband. She was a stray that was brought to the AS so the first two years of her life are unknown, but I don’t think they were good. I am having heart health issues and it is getting harder to deal with a difficult cat. I am now on blood thinners and worry about being scratched or bit, which has happened but very infrequently. She does her nails incessantly on furniture and carpet. I think she needs a home with a very patient, quiet female. Willing to chat with anyone who has interest. This is not being done easily and I have listed the profile and removed several times due to the difficulty of this decision, so your understanding is appreciated. It hurts me to think of her in a shelter but my health condition has declined dramatically. Thanks very much!

The foster would be for 3-4 months starting in November, or if you seem like a purrfect fit, would consider permanent rehome. A good fit would be a caring, available individual or family with kids 8+ years old who love cats. Josie is loving but does not love to be touched. She wants to be around and near you, but is content to sit at the end of the couch or bed. Artie, on the other hand, loves to cuddle all the time! He is the sweetest, most friendly cat, but does have the tendency to scratch and chew occasionally, so needs someone experienced with deterring that behavior.

I adopted Lana at 8 weeks old in May 2018–she’s now almost 7 years old. She prefers to be the only cat in the house and she is sweet, cuddly, and chatty. She has become more distressed since I got married because she does not get along with my husband’s cat, making her keep to herself and clearly be stressed. We recently had a baby so the tension in the house is not something we can tolerate anymore and we are rethinking our pet situation so everyone can be happy. I would love to find her a new home where she can be the only cat and live an stress-free life. In particular, I think she would be a great cat for a senior needing companionship.
