Story
Hi, I'm Brownie! I'm a sweet 6-year-old tortie looking for a home to call my own. I'm usually curled up in a cozy hidey bed, which is why I think many adopters miss me when they come visit the shelter. I can be shy at first, but I quickly warm up to anyone who says hello. I do have a few medical needs, but my friends at CCS say I take my medication very well and they'd be happy to talk through what I'll need to live a happy healthy life! Come visit me today!

Story
Hey, I'm Pippa CCS's longest stay resident! I'm a 6-year-old girl with a spice for life and an attitude to match. I love to play with string toys that help bring out my hunting instincts. I appreciate pets on my own terms but can get easily overstimulated. I would do best with an experienced cat owner who will let me do my own thing and love me as I am. A quiet, routine home with no kids or pets would suit me best! The shelter staff will happily answer any questions you may have about me. Please come visit me today!

Story
Hi, I'm Sally! I'm the cutest little calico you will meet! I can often be found looking out the window bird watching, and will always greet you with a friendly meow when you come in the room! Besides my love for bird watching, I also love to play with string toys. You can often spot me engaging with toys by leaping off of high surfaces and catching them! I'm so talented if I do say so myself! I am FeLV+, but don't let that get me down, and I hope I can find someone who can give me the loving home I deserve.

Story
Hi I'm Roxy! I'm a vocal gal who is never afraid to tell you my opinions. I am a big girl with a big heart and my favorite thing is to sit with my human friends and keep them company. I love chin scratches and will reward you with lots of purrs. I would prefer to be in a home with no dogs, they are stinky and I am just not a fan! I can be housed with other cats as long as they respect my boundaries. It was previously reported before I got to the shelter that I have a history of house soiling, but I have not had a single incident at the shelter or in my foster home! Currently, I am available from a nice foster so if you'd like to have a visit with me, please ask CCS staff for assistance!

Hi, I'm Oswald! I'm a big orange boy who has a lot to say. I'm FIV+ but I don't let that get me down! I love to take naps and get lots of pets. Sometimes I'll crawl along your keyboard to sit on your lap while you're working just because I want attention. I'd do best in a home without other cats and would love to come home with you today. I'm currently being looked after by my wonderful foster parents, so while I'm not available to visit at the shelter you can ask the staff there how to set up a visit with me by calling (303) 239-9680 or emailing info@catcaresociety.org. I hope to see you soon!

Hey everybody! I'm Xavia, I am a sweet gal who can come off as shy at first but with a gentle hand I can be open to pets. I am a bit sensitive when it comes to being handled, so please be patient with me when we meet. Since I'm a sensitive soul, I am taking a break from the shelter in a foster home, so while I'm not available to visit at the shelter you can ask the staff there how to set up a visit with me by calling (303) 239-9680 or emailing info@catcaresociety.org. Story
Greetings lovely people, Mittens here. I’m a strikingly beautiful, declawed grey girl with innocent eyes that are alert to everything happening around me. Born in 2016. I came to MaxFund in February 2022 because my owner could no longer care for me. I’d been with them all my life. Losing the only home I’ve ever known broke my heart. One important thing to know is that I am diabetic which means I require a special diet and daily insulin. So, I require just a little extra care but I promise it`s not at all difficult -- the medical staff at MaxFund will walk you through everything. Mittens is currently in foster but is still desperately looking for her forever home. Here`s what her fosters have to say about her: `Meet Mittens, a charming feline with a sweet tooth for life and a heart full of love. After spending two years at the shelter, she has found temporary comfort in a foster home and feels she is at her best and ready to commit to her forever home. Despite her occasional sassy hiss, this big-eyed sweetheart is a food-motivated cuddle bug who’s looking for a special human to share her life with. Don’t let her hiss fool you; it’s just her way of saying she’s got boundaries like any lady should. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll be your loyal companion, offering purrs and affection on her terms.Mittens is special in more ways than one; she’s managing her diabetes like a champ! With a consistent diet and some tender loving care, she keeps her spirits high and her glucose levels steady. Mitten`s/Roomba’s ideal home is a quiet, stable environment with a guardian/s who understand the needs of a diabetic cat. She thrives on routine and would do best in a home without small children or other pets that might disrupt her peace. If you’re looking for a cat with character and you’re ready to provide the special care she needs, Mittens might just be your girl. Come meet her and let those big, beautiful eyes win you over!``Mittens is a big-eyed, food-motivated sweetheart who`s looking for a special human to share her life with. She’s got a big personality and a lot to say. She’s become queen of her new foster home in no time flat and wasn’t shy about settling in, greeting visitors to the house with aplomb. Mittens loves to be near her humans and hang around the kitchen, where she might grab a nibble. After a breakfast-time lap cuddle with her foster dad, she loves to relax during the day in a cozy spot, and then lets you k

Story
Who’s the new love of your life? Me that`s who. Yep, my name Who. with the jokes, but I am an old gal, so you can’t I am the amazing Who, a beautiful, sweet, 13yr young lady who will warm your heart as soon as you come to meet me. I have been a bit down lately as my brother and I were given up by our human mama after living together for most of our lives. It was so traumatic on all of us, including our human, who needed to relinquish us because she moved in with people who were allergic to cats. It was especially hard on me as my brother looked out for me and was really outgoing so was quickly adopted once we got here, leaving me all alone. I have also been put on some thyroid medication, but that doesn’t bother me too much as it is so easy to take, but it was another change to get used to. The good thing is that there are other nice cats here even if I am really shy and don’t get out much. I guess I am a bit of an introvert now that I have experienced this heartbreak. Here at the shelter, I have a great domed bed that allows me to hide out when I want and watch all the action in my room from safety and warmth. I do get along with children and other calm cats who respect my space. I have a nice toy mouse that I like, but my favorite thing to do is cuddle. Boy, can I cuddle better than most. Especially if you walk up to my second story apartment, I will rub up against you, give you kisses, and rest my head on your shoulder.

Story
~Foster to Adopt~Hello Wonderful People, My name is Pica but my friends call me `Pica Boo!` As you can see, I`m a gorgeous black gal with beautiful green speckled eyes. When you open my kennel door, I will pop my head out of my hidey bed and then as you pet my cheeks, chin and between my ears (which I LOVE), I will follow your touch and come towards you. This is when my friends say, `Pica Boo, I see you!` I was returned to MaxFund because my former guardian no longer wanted to pay for my one medication. This made me very confused and sad as I thought we were such a great match. Then I found myself in a new place (MaxFund) with many new neighbors, smells and sounds-- I was so scared. However, I am an optimist and have made the very best of being here. And happily, since being at MaxFund, I am no longer on any medications! I do eat a specific type of food to ensure I don`t develop any urinary issues (I have none). I like this diet just fine and it is not expensive. But... I am still a little shy. I venture out of my kennel for people who are kind, gentle, and patient with me....are you one of those people? I promise to repay you with purrs and nuzzles and life-long cuddles. At 10 years old, I truly am a middle-aged sweetie. I know cats age faster than humans BUT cats are also living longer these days so I`m sticking with calling myself middle-aged. I`m an easy-going, relaxed, calm girl. I just need a home that is similarly relaxed and quiet with no young children or dogs, please. I prefer to be an only cat. At the shelter I have not enjoyed being around other cats, however I`ve been here over a year (very sad) and it`s too much being in close proximity to other cats for so long. I MIGHT get along with an older, relaxed cat in a home with lots of space and safe spots for me. Won`t you please come meet me? I`ll be waiting for you! Love, Pica Boo

Story
Greetings Lovely Hoomans, Otter here, paddling over and tell you a bit about myself! I am a very social boy who will love to curl around your legs and then into your lap. I like to talk, too-- but I won`t keep you up at night, promise! Playing with wand toys and laser pointers are some of my favorite hobbies. I don`t like to brag, but I`ve been told that if joyfully watching birds, dogs and squirrels out of my window was an Olympic sport, well I might just medal. Not much phases me, including kids and other cats-- I lived very happily with both. I also have started to enjoy walking around the shelter with my cat harness & leash, exploring nooks and crannies and generally being just adorable. I`m 10 years young and very sadly was given to MaxFund because my guardian was working long hours and felt he no longer had much time to give me. I am diabetic but please don`t let that deter you! I need twice/ daily insulin shots with a very small needle. This does not hurt me (easily goes into my scruff) and is given either right after I eat or while I`m eating. I make it easy because I`m very food motivated!! Our vet staff will show you how to give insulin. In fact, one of my friends, who is 76 years old, easily gives insulin to her cat!I`d love for you to come meet me! In fact, I think you Otter ?? One more thing - check out the picture of me walking on a harness at the shelter. Yep, I`m allowing a volunteer to hold a leash while I lead her around with a harness on. I`m a pretty cool cat!
