Story
I was found with my sister Carmelita in a bush by young kids when we were kittens. They knew a neighbor works with a rescue and took us to her house. She accepted us so we didn't have to go the shelter and risk being euthanized because we are two black cats and have a low adoption rate. I'm a little shy and need time to get use to a new home and family. I love to play with a laser and run around chasing toys. I would love to find my forever home.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. MCFADDEN his mom BRISTOL and his younger siblings from a previous litter (LACY, LA VETA and EDINGER) were all living in a yard in Santa Ana, Ca. They were all named after the streets in Santa Ana. BRISTOL was actually the neighbor's cat. The man that initially saved all of them was feeding them outside. She initially had her first litter and that's when EDINGER was born. We weren't told exactly what happened to his siblings. Then she had a second litter and that's when he decided to reach out for help. A local independent rescuer trapped mama cat and kittens. Then they called us to come get them. These poor guys were so skinny and dirty. Scared and unsocial. And when MCFADDEN came to our rescue he was adopted as a 3 month old kitten To our dismay, he was dumped at the shelter. We reached out to his family and never located them. Meet MCFADDEN, a charming three-year-old tuxedo cat from Santa Ana, California, whose heart is as warm as his glossy black and white coat. MCFADDEN is a friendly feline who can often be found striking up a conversation with anyone who will listen. Whether it's a soft meow in the morning or a chatty greeting when you come home, he's got plenty to say! MCFADDEN's affectionate nature makes him a delightful companion, especially if you're someone who appreciates the soft purrs and gentle nuzzles of a loving cat. He's particularly fond of canned food, and his enthusiasm for mealtime is both adorable and a bit of a spectacle. You'll see his eyes light up in anticipation as soon as he hears the can open! While he might be a bit shy at first, give him a little time and MCFADDEN will be weaving between your legs and hopping onto your lap. His tuxedo markings give him an air of sophistication, and he carries himself with the grace of a seasoned gentleman. Imagine spending your evenings relaxing with MCFADDEN by your side, sharing stories of your day as he responds with his charming meows. His presence can turn any ordinary moment into a special one, filled with joy and the comforting sound of purring. If you're ready to give MCFADDEN a forever home where he can continue to share his love and stories, please find the information on how to apply down below. Could MCFADDEN be the talkative, affectionate companion you've been looking for? MCFADDEN is a DOMESTICATED SHORT HAIR TUXEDO. He is about 3 years and 5 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around children. And we don't know if he has ever been around dogs. MCFADDEN is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! TOM is a very lucky guy. He showed up at a lady's house that already had cats. He would show up every morning and the lady felt bad for him and would feed. She noticed that the other cats in the neighborhood were beating him up. It wasn't long before he was inside the house living with the lady. Unfortunately, her cats did not like him. So we were asked to take him. Meet TOM, a charming feline with a unique blend of traits. He's independent and brave, confidently exploring his surroundings and asserting his space. Yet, he's also shy and mellow, needing a little time to warm up to new people. TOM's intelligence is evident in the way he problem-solves, whether it's figuring out how to reach a toy or learning the routines of his environment. His sense of humor shines through in his playful interactions with other cats. Despite his shy nature around humans, once he trusts you, you'll be privy to his funny antics and quick wit. TOM's balanced personality makes him the perfect companion for those who appreciate a cat who can entertain himself but also enjoys the company of his feline friends. Adopt TOM and discover the joy of sharing your home with a cat who is as smart and funny as he is brave and independent. TOM is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR TABBY MIX. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. MJ and her sisters (FRANKIE and HARPER) were found in a backyard. The nice lady who had been taking care of the feral mama cat was trying to trap her and bring her inside with her kittens. Once the babies were old enough to leave mama, the kind lady took mama and got her fixed. Mama is now part of her family. Kittens came to us and now they're ready to get their new forever home! Now poor MJ has grown up in our rescue. Meet MJ, a lovable three-year-old feline who embodies the perfect blend of playful curiosity and gentle affection. Her sleek coat, paired with her watchful gaze, tells the story of a kitty who's always on the lookout for her next favorite toy or cozy box to curl up in. Though MJ might be a little shy at first, give her some time and the magic of her personality will shine through. Found as a kitten in a backyard, MJ has blossomed into a friendly companion who knows how to enjoy life's simple pleasures. One of her great loves is CHURU, a creamy and irresistible treat that brings out her enthusiastic side. Just watch her face light up when you offer her a taste! It's the perfect icebreaker to help her feel comfortable and appreciated in her new home. When it comes to playtime, MJ is a champion. She can spend hours swatting at her favorite toys or investigating a new box that’s become the latest stage for her playful antics. Boxes, big or small, are her kingdom where she reigns supreme. Whether it's curling up for a nap or plotting her next playful pounce, MJ makes every nook her throne. Her playful yet gentle nature means she's the ideal companion for anyone looking for a bit of extra joy in their life. Once she's warmed up to you, you'll find MJ to be a devoted friend who's always ready for a good cuddle or a round of playtime. With her blend of curiosity and sweetness, MJ will be your loyal confidante, bringing laughter and warmth into your home. Are you prepared to share your life with a kitty who’s got a heart as full as her playful spirit? MJ is waiting to meet someone who can offer her a cozy, loving environment where she can thrive. If you're ready to open your home to this delightful cat, reach out to us. Could MJ be your perfect match? MJ is DSH / TUXEDO MIX. She is about 3 years old and 3 months. BEBE, her mom (BETTI BOOPERS) and her 3 siblings (LYNX, COLTON & TIGGER) were living in a bad hoarding situation in Bakersfield, CA. They were living off a dangerous street and people were actually poisoning the cats there. A group of rescuers helped all the cats involved and called us to take these babies. BEBE and her brother COLTON were adopted together. And to their dismay, their dad passed away. We were called to pick them up and the rescue mama ran to get them. It has been a very hard journey for them. We truly pray that the person that falls in love with BEBE will have the heart to take her brother COLTON too. Meet BEBE, a sweet 3 year old cat from Bakersfield, California whose essence is a delicate blend of shyness and endearing charm, wrapped in a soft, striped coat. BEBE is a talker with a timid disposition, but once she feels safe, her sweet nature shines brightly. She may start off a bit reserved, but give her a little time, and you'll find a loving companion who communicates with soft, melodic meows. Her favorite time of day is mealtime, especially when wet food is involved. Those big, expressive eyes light up with delight at the sight of her favorite treat, making every feeding moment a special bonding opportunity. This gentle soul was found in a difficult situation, but despite her past, BEBE has retained a gentle and affectionate personality. She's incredibly close to her brother, COLTON, and their bond is heartwarming to witness. They find comfort and confidence in each other, making them an ideal pair for a home that can welcome them both. Watching BEBE and COLTON interact is a joy—they have a unique way of communicating and looking out for one another that only siblings can share. BEBE would thrive in a quiet, patient home where she can gradually come out of her shell. She might need a bit of time to adjust, but your patience will be rewarded with her loyal companionship. She gets along well with other cats, especially when introduced slowly and respectfully. Her shy nature means she would prefer a calm environment, possibly with older children who can understand her need for a gentle approach. As a Tortoiseshell, BEBE carries the classic charm of her breed. Tortoiseshell are known for their affectionate and social nature once they feel secure. They often form strong bonds with their human families, becoming loving and playful companions. Are you ready to open your heart and home to BEBE and her brother COLTON? They’re waiting to share their sweet personalities and create beautiful memories with you. Reach out to meet this delightful duo and start a new chapter filled with love and purrs. Could your home be the haven where BEBE's shy whispers turn into contented purrs? BEBE is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TORTISHELL. She is about 3 years old and 3 month. She is good with cats. She has never been around children or dogs. BEBE is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. ESTRELLADO was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2017. He was a tiny kitten. Well fast forward to over a year ago, the lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. ESTRELLADO is the second one to be ready for adoption. Meet ESTRELLADO, a charming seven-year-old tuxedo cat with a heart full of love, who’s ready to find his new forever home! Rescued from a challenging hoarding situation, this sweet boy has blossomed into a delightful companion, eager to share his life with kind-hearted humans. ESTRELLADO is a true lap cat, always looking for a cozy spot to curl up and snuggle with his favorite people. His striking black and white coat is as captivating as his personality, and he carries an undeniable charm that instantly warms the hearts of everyone he meets. Despite his rough beginnings, he exudes a joyful spirit and is always ready to show affection with gentle purrs and soft head nudges. Playful at heart, ESTRELLADO loves to engage in fun activities, especially when there’s a cat tree involved! He enjoys climbing, perching, and observing the world from above, all while keeping an eye out for playful antics with his fellow feline friends. While he gets along well with most cats, his friendly disposition makes him adaptable and open to new friendships. Having lived with dogs before, ESTRELLADO is comfortable sharing his space with canine companions, showcasing his easygoing nature. His love for canned food is an added bonus—he’s always ready to join you in the kitchen for a tasty treat! With a loving personality that shines through in everything he does, ESTRELLADO is eager to be a part of a caring family. He’s looking for a home where he can continue to feel safe and cherished, and in return, he promises to fill your days with warmth and joy. Are you ready to welcome ESTRELLADO into your heart and home? This sweet tuxedo boy is ready to share his love and companionship with you. If you think you can provide a cozy lap and a happy home for ESTRELLADO, please visit our website to apply. What adventures will you and ESTRELLADO embark on together? ESTRELLADO is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TUXEDO MIX. He is 7 years 3 months old. He has lived with cats but needs proper introduction. We think he would do better with a cat friendly dog. He has lived with dogs. He has never been around children. ESTRELLADO is currently at PETSMART *** 25290 Madison Ave, Murrieta, CA 92562 *** off Madison Avenue. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Nina was found in the street with deformed eyes, she was blind. A cat rescuer took her to the vet to have her eyes cleaned out and sew them. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Loves head scratches and attention, meows to ask for human company. She's a purring machine, not afraid of car rides and is silent during them. Will make biscuits anywhere, so she will need regularly nail trimming. She is potty trained and can find her way around her space quickly. She gets scared if you touch her head directly, since she can't see, try another area first like her back. She is looking for her forever home that understands her needs and can give her the attention she deserves.
