She was living with her littermates on the street in a high danger zone. We couldn't leave them there, so our volunteer took all of them in to give them a chance at life. We know she appreciates having been rescued and wants to trust people so badly but it just takes her a little time. She could easily join a home with another cat or cat savvy dog. Lovely Drizells and her siblings were found when they were just two weeks old by the roadside, starving and weighing just 9 to 10 ounces. We got a call that a kitty and her little ones were living in some bushes in an apartment complex and were in desperate need of rescue. Our volunteers sprang into action and were able to get Shell and her babies to safety. After a trip to the vet and given the all clear, we placed them into one of our loving foster homes where they have been thriving. Shell has the sweetest personality. She has been so gentle to all the humans that have helped her, its like she knows she's been given a second chance at life. She doesn't have to worry where her next meal is coming from or be anxious about anything hurting her babies. She gets to nap all day and get lots of kisses and cuddles from her foster home. She has just discovered toys and is starting to play. Poor girl hasn't had a chance to be a kitten herself, well now is the time. She would love to have a cat tree in her forever home.
