Story
** COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Shyla was trapped at Trader Joe’s in Monrovia with her siblings Natalia & Liam. We believe they were callously dumped with their mom in the back alleyway and illegally abandoned. Mom thought she did a good job of hiding them in the warehouse while searching for food, but during the busy day, she couldn't get to them until the store closed at night. We got the call for help and trapped all three kittens for fostering until they were social and ready for adoption. Shyla really wants her own person to love and she will make someone very happy and loved. We would love to see her in a home where she can blossom. Shyla loves to play. * Date of Birth: Sept 2019 (approx) * Breed/Color: DSH Dilute Tortie * Eye Color: Green * Spayed * Vaccinated * FELV/FIV Combo Tested: Negative (Both) * Microchipped * Flea Treatment * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: All Natural Rope Sisal or Cardboard ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Story
Thank you for looking at and bringing awareness to our group out rescuing cats & kittens strictly from the streets. * COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Say hello to handsome Cullen! Cullen was found in Glendora, in the middle of the street by a postal worker. She was trying to shoo him out of the street so he wouldn't get hit when surprisingly, one of our prior adopters saw what was happening and lent a helping hand. The kitten ran underneath a parked car (our adopters) and he jumped into the wheel well. They could not get Cullen to come out, so they had the car towed to their local mechanic. He removed the wheel and reached in to remove the kitten for our adopter, who then contacted us. He was scooped up by one of our volunteer fosters and he has grown into a wonderful little guy! Cullen is a beautiful marbled or mackerel tabby who is friendly, outgoing and curious. He likes to be held and of course, loves to play all the time with his best friend Lala. We'd love to see them adopted together because he will need a buddy to play with. He enjoys being around other cats and will be occupied while you are at work, sports or school! He is of course named after Edward Cullen of Twilight! Kids: He is good with older, mature kids Cats: He takes a few days to acclimate, but then he is good with other cats who are tempered and playful. Dogs: He is not good with dogs * Date of Birth: March 2021 (approx) * Color/Breed: Brown Mackerel or Marbled Tabby * Eye Color: Green * Neutered * Vaccinated * Microchipped * Dewormed * Flea Treated: Revolution * Nails Trimmed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural & Unscented * Scratching Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard * Best Friend: Lala * Ask about our Adopt-A-Pair program to keep best friends & siblings together! COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER: Meet the adorable Dario! Born in the backyard of a good samaritan, we were contacted after much social media hype regarding rescuing the babies and the mom. Dario loves to be held, get kisses, play with all his toys and be near you always. He is mostly black with beautiful swirls throughout his coat. He gets a lot of compliments on his coloring and coat pattern. His favorite buddy in the whole world is Quentin, his brother, whom he plays with constantly. He definitely loves the company of another feline and we’d love to see this pair adopted together! Kids: He would do well with older, quieter kids. Dogs: He would not do well with dogs unless they were cat-friendly & experienced at being with cats Cats: He will do great with other cats & doesn’t like being alone * Neutered * Vaccinated * SNAP Tested FELV/FIV Results: Negative/Negative * Microchipped: Found Animals * Flea Treated: Revolution * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard * Best Friend & Littermate: Quentin * Ask about our Adopt-A-Pair program to keep siblings & best friends together! Story
* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER: Jewel was a street cat nobody cared about. She was trapped along with her babies and allowed to nurse them for the first couple of months. After that, her kittens were distributed among different rescues, but nobody wanted anything to do with Jewel. Why? She is such a sweetheart! They were going to just put her back out on the streets where neighbors had already threatened to dispose of her somehow. Thankfully, she was rescued from that situation and brought into a foster home where she met her best friend, El Gringo. El Gringo really helped her break out of her shell. She can still be a little shy at first, understandably, but she loves treats and being pet more than anything. She gravitates more to women and would be a great kitty for someone with a quieter lifestyle. Jewel is: * Spayed * Vaccinated * Microchipped * Combo Tested: Neg/Neg * Flea Treated * Dewormed * Litter Box Trained * Litter Preference: Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Trained * Scratch Post Preference: Sisal, Cardboard, Carpet * Best Friend: El Gringo * Ask About our Adopt-A-Pair special to keep siblings & best friends together! Story
Meet Momo! She is an exceptionally smart and affectionate cat. She came to us as a young mother along with her nursing kittens – now that they’ve all been adopted, it’s her turn to find a loving home! At first, Momo takes some time to warm up to new friends, but once she does, she'll chat with you all about her day! She comes to you expertly when called loves getting quality pets. She enjoys parading around the house with her favorite stuffed toys, and she'll even let you play fetch with her sometimes! Momo loves her toys and hopes to have a nice collection in her new home. This cat knows what she likes in life! In the afternoon, you’ll find Momo taking a catnap in a sunbeam, enjoying the breeze. Her evening routine starts with a good play session, followed by brushing and a nice dinner. She is a happy camper when she has vertical scratch pads that she can scratch and take a good stretch on. Regular play sessions with her toys help to ensure she’s burned off her energy and is on her best kitty behavior. Momo is quirky and endearing, and when you meet her on her terms, she'll be the best feline companion you could ask for! Potential adopters should be aware that Momo has a history of inappropriately urinating outside of her litterbox while in her foster home. Our Adoption Team would be happy to share more information about this behavior and recommendations for how to set her up for success in your home. Story
Meet Evie! This special girl is ready to find a family of her own! When Evie first arrives in her new home, she may be a bit shy, but soon enough she will love to be around you! This young cat is very active and is all about playtime. When she’s not asking to play and socialize, she loves to explore around the house and find little hideaway spots to take a catnap. At the end of the day, Evie loves to curl up and cuddle with her people. While in our care, Evie has been under management for a potential diagnosis of feline megacolon, a condition where the walls of the colon cannot contract, leading to severe constipation. Evie is currently on one medication to help her pass stool, which she is tolerating very well and has not had constipation since treatment began. If it is ever determined that she does have megacolon, she may require surgery if she stops responding to medical management. After applying for her, our Adoption Team will be happy to share more information about Evie’s medical history and expected future care. Evie’s dream home would be one where she can all the pets and snuggles she wants! She still has lots of kitten energy, so regular play sessions throughout the day are always welcome. She does entertain herself pretty well with her toys, though! She may also do well in a home with a playful cat to befriend, as she loves socializing with other cats and kittens. Has Evie already stolen your heart? Story
**Meet Stevie and Mr. Clarence: Best Friends Seeking a Forever Home Together!** **Stevie** and **Mr. Clarence** have formed an incredible bond, and now they're looking for a special home where they can stay together forever. **Mr. Clarence**, born 2021, a handsome 3-year-old Abyssinian mix, had a rough start in life. He was extremely shy and hissy when he first came to our rescue and preferred the safety of his cage. After a brief adoption that didn't work out, Mr. Clarence returned to us, still unsure and timid. But everything changed when he met Stevie. With Stevie by his side, Mr. Clarence found the courage to come out of his shell. Now, these two are inseparable, often found sleeping next to each other, providing comfort and companionship to one another. **Stevie** born 2017, is a sweet and mellow 7-year-old brown tabby who has spent his entire life waiting for someone to see just how special he is. He had an eye issue long ago, but it's fine now, and despite being FIV+ (which doesn't require any medication), Stevie is a healthy, affectionate boy who loves to be petted and adores his treats. His gentle nature makes him the perfect companion for someone looking for a loving, laid-back friend. We are looking for an experienced adopter, or someone with a lot of patience and love to offer. These two boys deserve a home where they can feel safe and cherished. They need someone who understands that love and attention will help them continue to blossom and thrive. In return, Stevie and Mr. Clarence will shower you with double the affection and gratitude. Adopting this pair will not only give them the chance at a real, forever home but also fill your life with the joy and warmth only two best friends can bring. Are you ready to make a big difference in the lives of Stevie and Mr. Clarence? They can't wait to meet you and start their new adventure together!
