Story
Last Tuesday I almost ran over a young cat/older kitten. It was raining and the poor thing couldn’t get out of the road fast enough. I can't really tell her age. I'm thinking 6 months maybe. I just want her to have a safe home. I've been calling her Honey because of her various shades of gold and brown. And because she's as sweet as honey. She loves to sit in my lap and be petted. She purrs a lot. She's adventurous. She's just so darling. I think she'll be fine with other animals. She will stay in my lap even when my dog comes over for pets. She'll be in the same general area as my other 3 cats but she'll give low hisses and growls. My other cat don't want anything to do with her.

Story
Gene and his sister Rudy were strays in a neighborhood and were caught when they were about 3 months old. Born 3/27/2021. As with most cats, Gene is nosey and has been exploring the house when possible (as you can see from one of the pics). He actually wants attention now especially if they come with treats!November 5, 2024, 6:38 pm

Story
Rudy is shy at first but loves to be petted and play. She and her brother Gene were strays in a neighborhood and were caught when they were about 3 months old. Born 3/27/2021. She will probably take more time to adjust than Gene.November 5, 2024, 6:38 pm

Story
playful yet calm and passed the midnight zoomies stageDairy Girl is a precious, friendly, mama kitty. She was rescued as a pregnant feral but was immediately loving the household pet routine.  She birthed her 6 gingers and is spayed & vetted. She is a vocal girl but not excessively. She is litter trained on wood pellets. She is approximately 12 months old.   She will make an excellent companion for someone needing the company of a calm, even tempered cat. She loves petting and being held. She enjoys sleeping at the foot of the bed and is passed the crazy midnight zoomies kitten stage!! But she is still playful and enjoys a scratching post and toys. She is probably a good mouser as well since she lived on her own for the first 6 months of her life.  Currently she is socializing with several other adult cats and a large passive dog. Occasionally she claims her space but overall she has adjusted very well to the household.  Full disclosure.... she snores, video attached, turn volume up ;) Please contact DARS if you think Dairy Girl will be a good fit for your home. November 5, 2024, 6:38 pm

Story
Please contact Sabrina for more information about this pet.Boo is a sweet, affectionate, and playful female kitten who loves spending all of her time with her sister Spooky. She has a luxuriously soft coat and loves to burrow under the blankets and make biscuits next to you. She would do very well in a home with another cat as a playmate and is not afraid of my small dog although it took her a few weeks to get used to him.  If interested, please submit application on our website at the link below:https://desotoanimalrescue.org/cat-adoption-application.html  November 15, 2024, 8:51 am

Story
Please contact Sabrina for more information about this pet.Spooky was born without a tail, but she is healthy and has not had any issues from it. We think there might be a Manx somewhere in her lineage. She is very affectionate and playful and loves playing with her sister Boo or my adult cat. She would do very well in a house with another cat for a playmate.  https://desotoanimalrescue.org/cat-adoption-application.htmlNovember 15, 2024, 8:51 am
