Story
Hi! My name is Ellie, born approx. 4/25/22.  I’m a beautiful female white and grey tabby, with the softest short coat. I am up to date on all my shots and spayed. I can be a little timid at first but I will warm right up to you with some treats! I am a secret snuggler and don’t like to be approached too fast, but I will definitely be sleeping at your feet every night. I love my kitty siblings, and I would do best in a house with no dogs or older dogs that aren’t too rambunctious with a slow introduction. I am very playful and I love my mice toys, I’ll throw them around in the air and catch them! Ellie is ready for her forever loving home. Could it be you? My adoption fee is $140November 21, 2024, 12:38 am

Story
Gato was born approximately 3/15/23. He is very shy but very sweet. He was raised in a house with older and younger cats, and he loves to play with them. He is a wonderful companion cat, and he loves to snuggle with his resident cats and follow his humans and cat friends around the house. When visitors come to the house, he disappears. He loves to sleep at the foot of his human’s bed. He was raised in a house with a 4-year-old, and Gato let her pet him; she was the first human he warmed up to. He likes to lay next to his human mommy while she is working in her office, and when his human daddy is watching TV, he likes to jump up on the couch and lay next to him. He purrs when he gets pets. When he first gets to his new house, he may be scared and hide, but give him some time, and he will be a loving and loyal kitten. It took him a month at his foster family’s house to let them pet him, and two months to start snuggling next to them on the couch and sleeping at night on their bed. When he first arrived at his foster family’s house, he immediately made friends with the other cats and liked to follow his humans around. Gato is up to date on vaccines including rabies, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $140.  November 5, 2024, 10:32 am

Story
Goya is a beautiful tabby and white kitty who is about 5 years old.  Goya came into the rescue from a hoarding situation where he and over 100 other cats were all living in a single-family residence. He had been living in this situation for a number of years, possibly since he was a kitten.  He was malnourished and under-socialized when he came into the rescue.  With care and patience, he has attained the appropriate weight and learned to accept love and pets, although he still is a little shy.  Goya does have a playful side, and after he is comfortable in his environment, he enjoys playing with wand toys and other kitty toys. Changes in environment are scary to him, so upon his arrival in a new home he will need patience and gentleness while he acclimates and grows to understand that he will be safe and cared for. Once he feels safe and comfortable he is a lap kitty.  He does well with other cats after a proper introduction, but it is unknown how he does with dogs. Because of his difficult life experiences, he may not be a good fit in a home with very small children. This fellow has had a hard life and is looking for someone with patience and understanding that will keep him safe and love him for the rest of his life, and in return he will give you his heart.   His adoption fee is $80.November 5, 2024, 10:32 am

Story
Meet Pinto Bean! She's an ultra-sweet, little tuxedo kitty with a big heart! While a little shy at first, this gentle girl warms up quickly with a kind touch and some patience. Don't be fooled by her initial reserve - beneath that bashful exterior lies a loving companion who thrives on affection on her own terms. This gentle girl may take some time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, she'll shower you with affection (on her own terms, of course!). While Pinto Bean isn't a lap cat, she loves being near her favorite people and will happily curl up near you. Pinto Bean's secret weakness? Belly rubs! If you earn her trust, be prepared for some serious purring and kneading once she realizes you're her human. Pinto is good with other cats but will hide around new people at first. She has not been around small children or dogs. She's been spayed, microchipped, she's up to date on vaccines and negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee is $140.December 7, 2024, 7:02 pm

Story
Hi my name is Kink! I am a one year old domestic short hair. I found myself in the office at a work yard where there were other stray cats, but my foster thinks I was dumped there because of how friendly I am. Even though The Barking Lot is a dog rescue, they could't say no to me, so here I am! I was tested for FeLV and FIV and was negative for both. I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. I am a very friendly boy and I love people and kids, I don't really care too much about other cats but don’t mind if they are around. I have also met some dogs and didn't mind them either, I am a pretty easy going guy! Story
Meet Joan, the Tuxedo cat with a flair for mystery and elegance! Like a classic heroine from a noir film, Joan’s journey from TNR life to indoor living has given her a bit of an elusive charm. She’s still finding her comfort zone and prefers a quieter, low-key environment to let her true personality shine. Joan tends to keep to the shadows, hiding when things get a bit too loud and bolting when the spotlight is on her. Introduce her to a small, cozy space first, and with patience and understanding, she’ll transform into your purrfect leading lady. My sister and I are looking for our fur-ever home, so if we sound like the pair for you, please answer the questions at the top of halorescue.org/cats and email them to foster@halorescue.org so we can set up a meet and greet!I am bonded to my sister Jett and we must go home together.

Story
Fasten your seatbelts and meet Jett, the Tuxedo kitty ready to take flight on her journey from outdoor life to first-class indoor living! As a former TNR cat, Jett is still adjusting to her new surroundings and will need some time on the runway before she’s ready for takeoff. She’s a little under-socialized, preferring to hide and avoid interaction, often taking off like a jet when pressured. HALO recommends starting her in a small, enclosed space to help her feel secure and gradually warm up to her new home. With patience and a gentle approach, Jett will soon soar to new heights as a loving companion. If my sister and I sound like the perfect addition to your home, please answer the questions at the top of halorescue.org/cats and email them to foster@halorescue.org so we can set up a meet and greet!I am bonded to my sister Joan and we must go home together.

Story
Scotty and Diana have been hanging out in one of my grandmas spare rooms since we trapped them back in mid December. Due to unforeseen circumstances, they need to be out by the 1st of February!!! We need a long-term foster, and QUICK!! Have a spare bedroom for these easy keepers? Litter box trained, no spraying or marking and both are altered! Everything you need will be provided, food, litter, veterinary, EVERYTHING! They're both former ferals, so they take some time to warm up. My grandma is now able to pet Scotty Diana takes a little longer to warm up, but was rubbing against my Grandma's leg by the 3rd week! Home check required
