Story
Anika is a beautiful young cat that was abandoned and left alone to survive outdoors. We took her in but she was very distrusting and afraid of people. She can be petted but needs a patient person that will nurture her to bring her our of her shell. She is playful and likes treats and will let you give back scratches near her tail. This relationship will build slow and steady but the deep bond will be worth the patience. Anika has come a long way.  However, she needs to go to a quiet home and would best be adopted with Nina, they have become a bonded pair.       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 26, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
CORTANA is available to the right, cat-loving home.  She is a princess kitty who would do best in a home who would enjoy her presence and respect her space as she graces you with her beauty and presence. She can be really affectionate but at other times, independent. Shee is great with other cat friendly cats and likes to snuggle on the bed.  She will need some time to acclimate to her new home so her new pet parent should understand and be prepared for her to be a little shy and timid for the first couple of weeks until she adjusts to her new environment and feels safe and confortable.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 26, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
DSH – brown tabby -Female- Felv/FIV negative DOB approx 09/15/21 Hi peeps! My name is Wendy and I'm a Tucson native. I was born on the the streets of Tucson and rescued during a TNR effort. Being a friendly kitten, I was taking into the care of the rescue and placed in a foster home with my brothers. I'm initially shy which also does not help when people want to meet me. I promise, I'm only shy at first but am affectionate and love my people once I started trusting them. Just ask my foster mom. One thing I do not like is being picked up and held for longer periods of time aka carried around. It's just something I do not like. But, please let me tell you what I am bringing to the table. I'm a playful and loving cat after I get to know you. My foster home is kind of buys with human children, two mid-size dogs, and other rescue cats which leads me to seek attention later in the day when things are more quiet. When the mood strikes, I like my belly rubbed. You will know when that is as I will plop on the floor right in front of your feet. I also like sleeping on the bed with my foster mom as I am a snuggle bug. I'm the best Netflix buddy you can ask for and I won't spoil the ending of movies. I don't judge if we watch movies or listen to music on the couch or in bed as long as I can snuggle up with you. I promise! My preferred home would be one where I could be the only cat and be spoiled rotten. I'm live with the dogs in the home and even though I'm okay(ish) with the other cats, I would do best in a home without other cats. With that being said, I really would love to have a human and home to call my home. I’m what they call "ready for my forever home" as I'm already spayed, current on age appropriate vaccines, and have a microchip. I'm good with dogs, older kids, and will pick my person. My adoption fee of $140 includes: *spay surgery *up to day on vaccines *Felv/FIV testing *deworming *microchip To schedule a meet and greet, please submit a non-binding adoption application via http://www.SOSCatRescueAZ.org/Adoption-Application Email: info@SOScatrescueAZ.org Call: (520) 445-3889

Story
Callista F, 12 years  Typically, Callista wants a nice spot in the sun and for that spot to be in the same room as her person. She is very curious about what her family members are doing, but she wants affection on her terms. She is very skilled at being a space heater on beds and has perfected her frog impersonation vocally. Callista gets simple pleasure in just laying near her person, but she finds true bliss with head scratches. Callista would do best in a family that understands her love is quiet, but loyal and they don’t not push her to be more affectionate than she is comfortable with.  Callista gets along with dogs, and would get along with cats with slow introductions and similar activity levels. Children should be older/understand that Callista is an old lady who would like to keep her peace. Callista is FeLV + and has kitty asthma. Her FeLV hasn't been an issue as she has reached her senior years. She does take an inhaler for her asthma that can easily become part of your daily routine and doesn't take long to do. She can co-exist with other kitties as mentioned who have the FeLV vaccine or are positive for FeLV too.  Callista is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and was negative for FIV. If you could give this gorgeous girl a place to live out her golden years in comfort, please fill out the adoption application on our website ##1847764##
