Story

Blue was the beginning of what began our Rescue. His mom used to come to us for food when we noticed she had given birth elsewhere. It was really hot out. I looked at her and told her to bring her babies here, inside. And...she did. She never let us touch her but she trusted us enough with her babies and Blue was one of them. He is my husbands favorite. He has his own personality and living with 10 other cats as well as dogs it is very important that he is the boss. He just has to look at you with those beautiful eyes and you melt. He likes to hide and stalk the other cats and then... Surprise. We always laugh but the other cats so thrilled. When he eats he uses his paws as a spoon. He knows when it is time to eat and he is waiting. He prefers to nap by a window or on your legs. He gets along with other cats but he does like to dominate so that might be an issue. He grabbed a hold of my husbands heart right from the start. You will definitely have a companion for life in Blue.

Miss Ellie was found in the middle of the street in front of our house. She had been dumped out of a moving car. Needless to say....we have never let her go. She is a princess and she knows it. If she could wear pearls and drink tea I think she would. She is 4 years old. She puts up with the dog and the cats but would rather not. I would like her to go to a home where she is the only one. She is very special to me. I wanted to bring her with me to the Philippines but was told that it is very hard on animals and that weighed heavily on my decision to find her a forever home. She sleeps on my chest at night she is very special. She loves to be outside with me when I garden and never made any attempts to go any further. She used to help me tap the soil when I was planting. I pray that I can find someone to love her as much as I do.

My love for Smoosh is what started my little rescue. She used to come to my door to be fed. I noticed that she had been pregnant and that she had her babies somewhere else. It was 116 degrees outside and I looked at her and told her to bring her babies here. It was so strange the next time she came all her babies were on my porch and I opened the door and she brought them in one by one and put them in the hall closet. We ended up keeping them all. 4 years later Smoosh hasn't left the house. I am not going to lie it took along time for her to trust us. She had started to trust us but was terrorized when we had to chase her to put her in the carrier to bring her to have her fixed. She had to re-trust us again. That is why she needs someone who will take their time with her and be patient with her. I worry about her the most that I won't be able to find a home for her. I am moving out of the country if it wasn't for that I would never part with her. I think maybe it should just be her

Mischief is a talker. He will tell you when it is time to eat. I have another male orange cat that fights with him for dominances'. So mischief's answer was to go on top of the cabinet and look down on my other cat to prove that he is king. When my other cat "Blue"is not around Mischief will go and sit on my husbands lap. He is very sweet but would probably do better not to have another male cat to compete with. It would be nice if he could finally relax. Mischief is an observer. He is always watching what is going on. I think he would do well in a home where he would not feel challenged by another cat. If I wasn't moving out of the country I would never give him up. He has a distinct cry to let you know that it is time to eat and when you ask him what he wants he will purse his lips to tell you he wants his "soup". All that really means is what ever squeeze treat we bought, delectibles, or luvsomes. If I wasn't moving out of the country I would never part with this sweet old soul.

Kit Kat is sweet. That is the best way to describe her. She will crawl up on you when you are watching tv and make herself comfortable. She gets along with all my other cats. Whenever there are kittens in my house it is interesting because she will lay with them like she is the mother and lick them. She waits patiently for her food where some of the others try to get fed first. She is just an all around sweet cat. Yes, she is xxxx@xxxx.x is not used to strangers. If I wasn't moving out of the country I would never let her go. She is not used to strangers just used to us. So until she is in her new forever home I suspect will see warm up and not be shy. I just hope someone is patient and gives her that chance.
